Genrepalooza 3: Playlists are done, phwew (2 Viewers)

:thumbup:  He's got a handful of worthy covers for consideration. And "Love Vigilantes" is just such a great tune.
A lot of acoustic cover versions fall flat for me.  The covering artists often try to be overly reverent towards the original and end up scrubbing all the life out of the song.

Beam's version of Love Vigilantes is stripped down to be sure but he transforms the song.  A listener unfamiliar with the original could easily be convinced it' comes from an 1880s folk song rather than 1980s synthpop

Spreadsheet Nerd requests that you do your sorting/filtering on the second sheet. It has links to cells in the main draft sheet, so new data will be included. That way it is easier for others to deal with main sheet.

TIA!

Is this thing on?

Hi. I am Ma of Constant Sorrow. My boy, Man, is tied up right now.

Therefore, he asked me to post this for him:

5.09 Soggy Bottom Boys - Man Of Constant Sorrow (Folk; 2000)

He then said:

:confused:  I hope that makes sense to you.

Oh, he added one final note:

Whoever all you 80 are, I hope you folks get better really soon. 🙂

Sorry for any confusion. Sometimes my boy can be a little difficult to understand. 😶

I have to go now. I think Man has gotten loose. ☹️

@BigBallsLarry up

Larry. PM me some time. 🙂👍

EDIT: @Long Ball Larry up

Long Ball? Never mind Larry. 👎☹️

Have fun in your Magic Song League, ❤️,

Ma of Constant Sorrow   ✌️👵🙂
Kind of early for all this :rolleyes:

We're going to see Strand of Oaks tonight so skip me for now and I'll pick whichever song blows me away tonight.

Don't snipe me bro.

@Mr. Ected
I think Wild Pink is opening for him on this tour.  Let me know how they sound live--their albums have been among my favorites each of the past 2 years but never have seen them.

Really liking the new Strand of Oaks album too.

This is going to be one hell of a mish mash of a mix.  I just feel like we need a song in one of the playlists from these 3 if we are talking bands of the 00s.

Round 6

Genre:  Rock

Song:  Muse - Stockholm Syndrome

6.08 Audioslave - I Am The Highway (Rock; 2002)

Lyrics are really good - they are what makes it part of my theme goal. (They are included in the video.)

Now, the music...kicks it!

Only complaint - it is a little too mainstream. I doubt that I am introducing this to anyone.

Sorry bout that - it is just too good for me to pass up.

@Abrantes - up

@Mrs. Rannous - on deck
