Yeah, I think a lot of our musical blind spots include metal, but there's always this thread.I was kind of hoping for more metal because it's squarely in my musical blind spot.

Oh dear. This is the nastiest hit I can ever remember, won’t ever forget it. Michigan’s National Title season, late in the year against an undefeated Penn State team. I saw a 15 years later special on ESPN about. Neither guy was ever medically cleared to play football again.

It really is. The guy I mentioned before, Scott Stevens? His highlights are really hard for me to watch as I get older. I just think of the damage done to the recipients' brains and I absolutely cringe. I'm in total agreement that cleaning up helmet to helmet and head hits was completely necessary in both sports. Anything less is barbaric to me these days.Yeah it’s for the best they have cleaned up the game
I do r Stevens, he was one of the best defenseman to ever play.It really is. The guy I mentioned before, Scott Stevens? His highlights are really hard for me to watch as I get older. I don't think I've ever posted in it.Yeah, I think a lot of our musical blind spots include metal, but there's always this thread.
Knowledge of the physical toll the sport takes has reduced my enjoyment of football.Yeah it’s for the best they have cleaned up the game
Clock is off for the evening. I thought the pace was fine today--one round a day is a good benchmark.@Mr. Irrelevantfor the fourth and fifth on the turn, then back to moi.
Gonna walk right up to him. Give him a great big kiss. Moi!

I'll admit going through Apple Music to being surprised these guys are still putting out albums. I haven't sought out anything from them in about a dozen years, not that I was ever much of a metalhead to begin with. But back in the day their first 2-3 albums were pretty high on my "workout" / "keep myself awake driving back from my now-wife's place at 2AM" rotation.
Genre: Metal
4.16 - Saliva - "Superstar" (2001)
Don't think I've heard that one before. I was kind of let down by the guitar solo but I'm a nerd.Watching Austin Collie laying there on the field was gut wrenching for me.Knowledge of the physical toll the sport takes has reduced my enjoyment of football.

Well, now you tell me.I was kind of hoping for more metal because it's squarely in my musical blind spot.
Almost 100% certain I've drafted them before ("Meantime" and/or this one), maybe in the 2000s mixtape draft, but some threads are gone for good, I think. Love love love this album and this cover in particular. Soundtracked many a walk (on my Discman) on the way to class.Pretty surprised I can't find any record of any of us drafting this song or even band before (the band was taken in a timdraft once but they don't count)..
5.04 - Hounds of Love - Futureheads (cover songs)
@Ilov80s up.

I was going to take something from that album also - so it left me scrambling a bit. Luckily there’s enough music out there.
BUT NO PAT MAHOMES!!!!I was going to take something from that album also - so it left me scrambling a bit. Luckily there’s enough music out there.![]()
I was going to take that exact song. I used to wear that song out anytime my daughters were around and told them it was better than the original - pissed them off so much.I was going to take something from that album also - so it left me scrambling a bit. Got real nostalgic about the good ol Sabres last night.Off-topic, but it's the 13th anniversary of the most memorable sports moment I've ever witnessed live.
Some say Umberger still doesn't know where he is.
Yeah... it's notI was going to take that exact song. I used to wear that song out anytime my daughters were around and told them it was better than the original - pissed them off so much.
@Mr. Ected absolutely sniped me last round on Bob Mould as well. Probably would have gone with "What Do You Want Me To Do?" instead of the title track, but both are great options.About time we got a good snipe!
Tell em if they can't finger out how this fit ma theme - then they dummer in a box o possums
I hope that makes sense to you.Whoever all you 80 are, I hope you folks get better really soon.Tells 80 Ima PM the explanation latah...real slooo-like...so understands
His version of New Order's Love Vigilantes was on my Covers shortlist5.08 Iron & Wine, Upward Over the Mountain (Acoustic/Folk; 2002)
Was actually a bit undecided on whether to take advantage of the Covers category, particularly since my top pick there is one of very few I feel could get sniped, but bottom line is that this one is dearer to me. Loved it back around the time it was released, listened to it over and over, put it on mixtapes, yadda yadda, and after going years without stopping to hear it, I was trying to figure out which I&W song I'd take for this draft, put this on and got choked up as I sang along, just like back then. Love Sam Beam's voice. No trickery to it.
@Man of Constant Sorrow yer up
Kind of early for all thisIs this thing on?
Hi. I am Ma of Constant Sorrow. My boy, Man, is tied up right now.
Therefore, he asked me to post this for him:
5.09 Soggy Bottom Boys - Man Of Constant Sorrow (Folk; 2000)
He then said:
I hope that makes sense to you.
Oh, he added one final note:
Whoever all you 80 are, I hope you folks get better really soon.
Sorry for any confusion. Sometimes my boy can be a little difficult to understand.
I have to go now. I think Man has gotten loose.
@BigBallsLarry up
Larry. PM me some time.
EDIT: @Long Ball Larry up
Long Ball? Never mind Larry.
Have fun in your Magic Song League,,
