Giants-Vikings game postponed until Monday Night (1 Viewer)

Just called Ford Field and the lady said all tickets were gone. Seems hard for me to believe. Anyone confirm?
yep gone
Glad I picked up some Vikings/Giants tix dirt cheap last night, they'll likely be going for a premium as soon as this news gets around. I just hope Ford Field honors them like all the news outlets said they would.
From what I am hearing, they have issued too many tix and the doors open at 5:30 for General admin seating. Plan accordingly

This could be a huge fiacso. It is -20 wind chill right now. It takes about 15 minutes to get through security lines. someone is going to get trampled tonight with general admission.I am pretty sure when they decided on GA that they thought the place would be about half full. how can you have GA with the stadium sold out? Should be some nice brawls.

This may be a bit of bad planning by the Lions/Ford Field. They're saying all of the General Admission tickets are gone. However, there is still priority seating for Vikings fans with tickets + more GA tickets available for those who show up with their Lions ticket stub from yesterday's game.I think they could've sold this out and blew some people away by filling a stadium for a game with two "foreign" teams. However, it looks like they're putting some tickets to the side just in case the priority groups (Vikings/Lions ticket holders) show up.FYI...they gave away 4 tickets per person for those that showed up this morning. Apparently if you weren't in line by 6am (in snow/wind/10 degree weather), then you didn't get the tickets. However, there were some people cashing in by (1) scalping their free tickets, (2) selling a line cut-in. Kinda sucks that when the NFL/Lions offer something as cool as this that could allow some "new" folks the chance to see the game...especially those who normally can't afford to go to a game...you have some people try to cash in.Between people getting turned away and those who took more tickets than they need, I think we're going to see a lot of empty seats tonight...and every one of those could've been filled with better planning (even though they only had a day to put this together).Regardless, it still is a nice offering by both the NFL and the Lions to put the tix out there for free.

gonna be a great night.

Have my tickets and am almost at the stadium. If there's a line already to wait to get in, I'll do that, if not, tailgating for a couple of hours.

So will the Lions fans be booing both teams?
The  think because the Lions and the Vikings are "rivals" they will be cheering against the Vikings.. Interesting, as I can't recall anyone mentioning the HEATED rivaly when ever discussing a Vikings vs. Lions game.. But maybe I wasn't listening to the right

Hey Sniffer,I got down there at 10 AM, took me close to 2 hours to get there due to crappy roads, normally takes me 35 to 40 mins to get downtown and people were already saying they were all gone.On the way back home, I called a buddy and he said a buddy of his got 14 tickets and I got 2 from him so I'm heading down right now actually. I've heard the same thing about the general admission but I honestly think they have no idea what to expect down there.

I think Detroit fans and the Lions organization (and Ford Field staffers) outdid themselves tonight. There wasn't too many tickets issues, it was just about right - there were some upper bowl seats empty, but everywhere else was pretty full up. They said the attendance was 45k, which isn't bad for short notice. More Vikings fans traveled for the game than I thought would have too, just about every other person in purple I asked said they had flown in. (very small sample size though, just those right around me.)
