Wait there are ones without zippers that don't connect to each other? Can't say I've ever seen that. I thought those only existed when there was a zipper on between.
I have them and prefer them.

As @belljr pointed out above, it seems to be a golf brand thing.

Oh I hate the individual pockets. It's not just FJ but they are my main culprit
Really? I like them.
Love the sweatshirt hate the individual pockets

Scorching hot take. If there's two pockets a with a zipper in-between that's not a hoodie, it's a jacket or whatever. And if there isn't zipper, but separate pockets....? GTFO 🤷‍♂️
I have another technical question. Does a long sleeve shirt with a hood count as a hoodie? How thick does the material need to be for it to be a hoodie?

Considering this has taken a turn for the golf, probably pretty lightweight material would qaulify.

I'd say hoodies need thickness, but that's just my hoodie preference and I come from the kangaroo-pouch nineties.

Let's not overcomplicate this as only one question needs to be asked. Does your sweatshirt have a hood on it?

I might be in the minority, but I haven't owned a hoodie since high school graduation. Ha ha

They sure have evolved since the 80s where your only choices were Champion or Hanes. You can find all types even cashmere, some costing thousands of dollars. Definitely a staple in most wardrobes.

I don't like putting my phone in the single pocket of a pullover hoodie. It somehow feels less secure than one of the side pockets of a zippered sweatshirt.

It is less secure than a side pocket. It'll slide right through and out the other side, leaving you warm but phoneless. Then again, if your hands are jammed into the kangaroo pouch like they should be, you'll be grasping your phone so it won't get lost! Plus, you'll look surlier—and that's part of the point of a hoodie.

It doesn't matter whether it's a cotton or cashmere blend. Again, does your sweatshirt

Cashmere sweatshirts? I notice you switched to "blend." Don't think I ain't notice. :grad:
Yep, they exist too. They make cashmere products for almost any men's item even underwear. It could be 100% or a blend. Doesnt really matter my guy. Again, does your sweatshirt have a hood?

A one hundred percent cashmere sweatshirt with a hood. Sounds like someone just had to go to work in the ad copy writing department.

"How do I sell this at retail price????"

But... what if it has a hoodie and it's made out of sweatshirt material?

Voted individual because i usually wear zipper hoodies
That wouldn't be a pullover then would it?
Yes I realized that after I voted because I typically don’t wear a pullover hoody because I’m not a teenager
A couple of years ago I might have retorted in a similar fashion. But over the last couple of years I have totally regressed to dressing like a teenager again and I love it. My daily wardrobe involves a lot of jeans and cargo shorts on the bottom and t-shirts and hoodies on the top.

Do you hoodie wearers routinely use the hood? It amuses me to think of this demographic rolling around their hoodies. :lmao:

That was always my reasoning why I don't own any hoodies. I just assumed I'd wear a hoodie because I wanted to use the hood. I don't want to use the hood. Hence why I don't have one. I will say after reading this thread adding a hoodie to the FarFromHome wardrobe might be a possibility. It's all about how it fits for me. I'm very specific on how clothing fits. At 50, I have a nice body and I need everyone to know that when I wear things. Ha ha

wearing a zip-up hoodie right now

great for layering in winter weather. i can unzip when getting a little too warm and/or easily shed if things come to that point. also wear the hoodie up as a wind shield when necessary.

Same. I’m much trimmer than most 56 year olds. 💪

Another follow up question, are you hoodie, hood up!, wearers in cold parts of the country? I know furls is. He may also use the use to hide from his wonderful wife. ;)
