Hurricane Sandy (2 Viewers)

This storm has made me realize that being out of school without a girlfriend makes these things boring. I get to talk to you guys and listen to radio scanners as opposed to getting drunk and playing beer pong or lying in bed all day with nothing else to do but the dirty deed. Heck if I had a gf, I'd probably be hoping for the power to go out. But until the power goes out, more fun with you guys. :banned:
Yeahhh......it doesn't get any better when you have kids.

Big wind gusts and lights are starting to flicker here in Brooklyn. Since the power lines are buried here that must mean trouble with the substation. Fingers crossed.

so it's like being married...hth

I've been glued to this thread all day. I can't imagine what it must be like to be on the coast with all that flooding.

Wind has picked up very noticeably in the past few hours, but nothing too crazy yet.

Ok, Vivian is messing with me now. Her dress has some kind of bottom-cleavage cut. It's like a kaleidescope over covered boobs - V on top, V on bottom. She knows I'm watching, I can tell. Call me, V!

Code Red. Code Red.

I have just finished the last of my beef jerky rations. Still have a couple cans of Pringles, and a bag of mini oreos.
Any relatives you aren't fond of staying with you?
:lmao: I am stocked up on water, but I did a horrible job of stocking up on food. Cooking some spaghetti now. I have no way of cooking if the power goes out, which stinks. I live in a condo. Can't have a grill.
CAMP STOVE FTWHave a single burner unit in my emergency supplies with 2 tanks of propane ready to go.
You must have a jeep

Jeez that's insane. GL with the water Bats...had to deal with that at my cousin's house back in April 07 during a particularly bad rainstorm. Water was coming in through the floors faster than we could vacuum it out, unreal.
Yea I'm fighting a losing battle right now! Gonna be a long night I emptying the shop vac. Shoulda got a sump pump. :wall:

Flooding right now is as bad as it was at the 8:30 am high tide. Still have three more hours until crest tonight. Power has been flickering here as well. (E. Rockaway)

This jet-skier is awesome, as long as no one has to go save him.

Gotta love the local reporters every station sends into this slop.

"It's getting windier. As you can see, I can BARELY keep my balance right now! That's because of how windy it is!"

They sent it out to the same girl three times. The first two times technical difficulties. The third time, she told us it was windy.

Serious wind gusts starting here in Somerset County. Hold onto your butts...

edit: my lights just flickered a couple of times as well. Here we go....

Christie presser right now, just admonished AC mayor for telling people to stay in the city. Says rescue efforts not possible until tomorrow morning

Christie killing the mayor of Atlantic City. No idea how many people are there, just that it's a large number. No help until tomorrow morning.

Apparently people are stuck in AC at shelters that the mayor said would be ok.

Governor Christie pretty much just put AC mayor and all the tough guys on blast. Nobody is coming to rescue them.
