Uh, when was that again? KC has led the league in rushing TDs for three years straight.

As a Fins fan, your team will/should get a decent pick in the draft next year? What would you like to see them go after? Obviously they have a pretty good young back. I hope they don't make the same mistake Detroit has in going after receivers. I think they need to build an offensive line around this guy.

i've beern begging for three years for more OL help, so Saban will probably pick a QB.i have no problem with that, actually, there's three or four QBs in the upcoming draft I'd be very happy with.

Well, I know that's tempting but that's how the Lions' problems started with Harrington.........then you're looking for help for him and then you need another etc...I mean, look at guys like Matt Schaub, Billy Volek who come off the bench and do well. It's got to be the system and line protection. If I managed a team and had 1 shot to do it right, I'd put all my energies into building a great offensive line and building a solid D.

After that, I'd look for some veterans with good work ethic and put them into place. Look at D. Bledsoe this year, Joey Harrington's never looked as good as him in his life, nor has David Carr. Dallas got him for basically nothing. Why is he playing so well............they're protecting him.

Same goes with rushing the football. A good line makes an average back look good, and a great line makes a good make look great.

if saban picks a QB it'll be a QB he is building a system around - I have no prob with him taking a QB - and if the phins are high enough to get McNeal or if Vince Young comes out, I'm perfectly happy.

No, I remember Priest scoring 3, 4 and 5 Td's a game with an occasional TD pass thrown in there...........and they'd lose by 3!

As a Gonzo owner last year, I'd recommend going back and reviewing the stats.

Be right back then, I'll look up the rushing TD's vs. the Td's Gonzo had to see who's territory it was.

The rushing game of KC last year had over a 3-1 ratio to TD's vs. Gonzo last year who had 7 Td's.......as far as Td's go, Gonzo had a more productive year the previous year with 10.

What were the other 31 teams' ratios of rushing-to-TE TDs?Gonzo has done pretty well in years past.

Off the top of my head, I'd guess that last year in the red zone:Chiefs RBs had 28 TDs ; Tony Gonzalez had 3 TDs

All NFL RBs had 388 TDs; All NFL TEs had 158 TDs (this include's Kris Wilson's 3 TDs)

So Gonzalez had 11% as many TDs as Chiefs RBs

The average NFL TE had 41% as many TDs as NFL RBs

 
How much do you think the extra 2 days rest will help KC against SD next week.

2 more days to scheme. 2 more days to practice. 2 more days of rest. I think it could be a huge advantage for them. Chiefs D seems to be stopping the run fairly well this year. If they can just prevent that 1 or 2 big play against Tomlinson, I think they have a chance.

Point noted about the coach not drafting him. Do you like Young that much at the Pro level? I know he's an awesome runner, I'm not sold on him as a NFL QB. I mean, as runners you don't get much better than Mike Vick and he's in and out of the lineup with the abuse he takes.There's a clever saying like: You can't change a leopard's spots.

Professionally, no. High school a couple years, yes.These guys take a pounding. A short week for an NFL team is a disadvantage. Are you telling me a couple extra days rest is not an advantage?

I would like to see the stats of what NFL teams do the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Do you know an easy way to look this up?

 
How is it possible to get targeted over 10 f'ing time with ZERO catches, Chambers? This is unbelievable. Frerotte is either a Joke (likely) or KC is consistently doubling Chambers. I cannot believe this....

not the right thread, but I love Vince Young with about two or three years of "retraining" to unlearn some of his poorly coached college traits - I still hate a lot of his mechanics, but he is getting better and better (ie - closer and closer to NFL ready) each and every game - it is a remarkable thing to watch.He can NOT start in year one in the NFL - he'll get Vick'ed. He needs a year to watch, hold a clipboard, and unlearn some bad habits.

Year two, he'll be like Carson Palmer last year - struggle, then a click when the light comes on. Year three, he'll bud into a superstar.

So in a span of 5 weeks, SD played 4 teams coming off byes, and now the 5th team in that span gets an extra 2 days. Ouch.

You havent,getting out of bed after a game is a task.Your sore during practice and it usually carries over to the next game.Extra days are the best thing that can happen.
 
Chambers... 7 targets, 0 catches. WTF, anyone watching the game have an explanation? Is it Frerotte? Or is it Chambers? Is Surtain having that big an impact on his former teammate?

He must be either way because he's a joke if he can't complete a pass to him in 10 trys right? And if he's throwing to him 10 times and he's double covered.....then he's a joke for doing that too. I thought Miami had a good TE?

WTF is wrong with you?That was my point. How much....not if...it will help the Chiefs. IMO as a Chiefs fan this was not a game I thought they could win in SD.

I only counted 7 targets thus far, but it's still a joke. I wish I could see the game so I knew whos fault it was (most likely a combo of the D, Frerotte's crappy throws and Chambers inconsistant hands). This sucks.

your comment does not reflect what you are saying.if the chiefs were home, I'd say it is an advantage. The best these two days of rest will do is let the chiefs bite into SD's home field advantage.
