** Monday Night Football - Bills at Jets ** (+1, 41) 8:15 On ABC, ESPN and the Deuce (4 Viewers)

Will James Cook play tonight? That would seem to be the big question at the moment for the Buffalo Bills
Next would be which WR is going to leap to the front tonight and be a difference maker for Allen and the passing game, especially if Cook can't suit up this evening.

I am interested to see if the Jets can rally or if they splinter in different directions and drop to 2-4
Would you still want to go get Adams at that point knowing you likely are not making the Playoffs or even if you do qualify, it would appear you are going nowhere

That could all change in the blink of an eye if they win this football game tonight and both the offense and defense show improvement this week
What are the odds of that happening vs the Bills tonight?

On the road vs Pittsburgh next week for the Jets won't get any easier
They could be staring 2-5 in the face before they finally have a soft match up vs the Patriots, one of their only 2 wins so far.

4-7 going into the Bye Week? 5-6/6-5, it won't be much better than that
Phins twice, Jags and Rams all part of those final 6 games, they have some cupcakes after the Bye week but that's not until Week 12

I don't care about his end of game stats. Kincaid has averaged 5 targets a game with average wrs. I just want a 10 target game. Even if it's for 45 yards. 10 targets.

ABC decides during the writers' strike in Hollywood last year, they run MNF on ABC just like it used to back in the 70s, 80s and 90s
Viewership rose 29% so instead of making a lot of new Fall shows for Monday Night, they decide to just run MNF most of the way for the rest of the season
And that starts tonight

NFL taking jobs away from people that work in the industry, you might feel good or bad or indifferent, just find it interesting

Not sure where they are getting their spreads from, it's been Jets +1 almost since the line opened, feels like an easy game for a well coached team like Buffalo
It opened at BUF -2.5, so maybe Robt. Saleh's departure equals a point and a half to the good for NYJ?

Since 2019, Josh Allen is 7-2 vs the Jets, but has lost the last 2 at MetLife--(to Zach Wilson!)--, with passer ratings of 62.7 and 46.8.

I'm with you MoP, this feels pretty easy...which of course means it won't be

BUF -1.0

Josh misses Shakir
Cook playing? Limited? Full go?
Aaron looks.......old
Saleh may not have been a good headcoach...but he wasn't the problem with The Jets
So Vegas is saying 21-20 Bills
Five touchdowns?
I beg to differ
Feels like a field goal game to me...

Orchard Park Bills- 16
East Rutherford J-E-T-S- 12

The Monday night at home underdog is a pretty solid gambling lock. Does that mean at opening or start of the game? I haven't even thought of doing that research.
This is a great question. First though, note there were 8 games this week with a home underdog, and the home teams have gone a clean 0-8 ATS.

To your question, the Jets are the first home underdog on MNF this season

In 2023, home dogs were 5-4-1 ATS, with all 5 winning outright

In 2022, home dogs were 2-4 ATS, with both winning outright

James Cook said he intended to play so I pulled Ray Davis and put in Justice hill on a very important team. I won but I need those pts in a NFFC prime. Damn you Cook.

I wanna see if Ray Davis is a jag, or a little bit more. Running QBs like Allen, Lamar, and Murray can make RBs better than they really are, Chase Edmonds in ARI comes to mind.

The Bills shouldn't lose this game against a locker room in turmoil after a mid-season coach firing.

But I can't go against my betting instincts despite the chaos.

Feels like a Jets 27-23 win.

Jets win, and somehow we get a scenario where the Dolphins are only half game out of 1st when Tua gets back.
Feeling the Jets tonight too for no reason whatsoever.
Feels like teams always get a 1 week boost when a HC is fired. Even Jeff Saturday helped the Colts for 1 game.
Only 16-13 since 2010 according to something I read earlier. Thought it would be more.

Famously remember Dan Campbell doing this with Miami. Bet they wish they stayed with him instead of hiring Gase.

16-13 is honestly pretty good, when you consider most teams firing their HC are well below .500
