Music Draft - Rolling Stone Greatest 500 Songs Garbage List - Now with unhealthy regional pork-stuffs! (2 Viewers)

Round 6

3 A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke

its bolded on the song list but looks like there was something weird happening on the top of the sheet. I searched the first page and didn’t see it taken. A song that’s both beautiful but also an anthem for a movement. Songs don’t get much bigger or better than this.

you can skip me on the next pick, I have a meeting in a few

I've just put the RR playlist up on Spotify (shuffled).. I"m not a fan per se, but always liked her. this song came on and I immediately thought- yeah... keep that in mind for this block.

That entire album is fantastic (it was the 1st album I ever bought with my own money).  A lot of us grew up listening a lot more to albums end-to-end than singles (I had no singles except a couple Beatles my mom got me when I was 6 or 7).

Give that album a couple of listens sometime when you want to just mellow out.

SOD so far.

@Northern Voiceor any other spreadsheet smarties, I can't get to Sam Cooke or the song title in the two drop-down menus.  I checked the song list, and it's listed there at #3, but the auto-whatever must not have picked this one up for some reason.  Help?

If I hadn't been required to take Bohemian Rhapsody, this would have been my pick.  How it lasted so long is a mystery.

What a voice.

Same here.  I felt contractually obligated to take a Beatles song there (after Help! was sniped with the second pick), but otherwise would have grabbed this one.

Yeah, landrys hat and I, while having divergent tastes, often seem to see eye-to-eye in these drafts. At least as far on my end regarding what he takes.

Pick 7.03

I have no idea why this wasn't a bigger hit, because his music was all over the charts thanks to the Brits covering every song he ever did. All of the earmarks of his best records are here, though: thrilling opening guitar salvo, chugging rhythm, and Chuck's seemingly bottomless well of awesome lyrics.

#342: "Promised Land" - Chuck Berry

About to go pick up my kids and take them to the dentist.  I have one pick in mind that I'm happy to PM.  I'll try to check my phone and figure out an optional pick if I get sniped.

ATTENTION AGAIN SMART PEOPLE:  Now the spreadsheet is not automatically shading the song list when picks are entered into the draft sheet.  Pls to fix again since I'm on the verge of quitting anyway.

I'm going to revert the spreadsheet back to this morning's version to fix the song list sheet.

I'm going to do some yoga and put this whole dreadful draft day behind me for 30 minutes.
I'm here, actually. Can oversee and maintain if you'd like. Get some stress release. This shouldn't be stressing you out at all. Not everything need happen at once. Corrections can be made.

I can do that. Just let me know when.

Okay, I think Eephus and I updated the sheet. Try and let me enter things today and don't alter it too much, if you please. Scroll instead of looking at groupings, I'd say.
