As someone who, uh, hit puberty roughly during Britney's prime.....I couldn't resist. It's no longer socially acceptable to make "once you go black" jokes is it?
Her Instagram was interesting this weekend, so I've been told.As someone who, uh, hit puberty roughly during Britney's prime.....I couldn't resist.
I missed it.Her Instagram was interesting this weekend, so I've been told.
If you only watch a few minutes in the middle at a time, A Walk To Remember isn't that sad.I missed it.
If we're being honest, I was always more of a Mandy Moore fan. 12 year old me was pretty much glued to TRL during the entire run of "Candy" in 1999. Life-long crush here, still today. Did I mention - #### Ryan Adams?
I saw that at the theater, strictly because she was in it. Saved! too. But that one actually is pretty good.If you only watch a few minutes in the middle at a time, A Walk To Remember isn't that sad.![]()
I thought he worked until 8Was washing dishes. Since OH did the cooking tonight, it meant washing every dish I own. I'm catching up and will post shortly.

This was actually a No Hesitation song for me, though I picked something else from that bloc long ago.Sorry.....and sorry.
Goodbye Earl. Dixie Chicks.
There's nothing left!

Round 16.07 - Toots and The Maytals - Pressure Drop (278) - 1970
This has been a favorite of mine since college. I absolutely adore it. Still great picks at the end of the draft.
Drafted this album in the 50 year album draft. So underrated.Round 16.07 - Toots and The Maytals - Pressure Drop (278) - 1970

I still listen to the Alt18 on SiriusSpeaking of which, has the teenage music countdown show died entirely? There was a period of time between like 1998 and 2003 where if you did not watch TRL, or to a lesser extent 106 & Park, you were completely on the outs of the entire next day's lunch room conversation.
I went to an Atlanta Hawks game in 2018, and Big Tigger was their resident in-house DJ. Made me feel old, and made me wonder if the rest of the crowd had any idea how popular he was on 106 & Park.
I don't think there's any American between the ages of like 31-37 who does not still love Carson Daly from his TRL days.
I like to pretend I'm the only one who knows that site. I love it.
Please tell me The Jam/Paul Weller are represented there.#812 on the Top 10,000
Also it's two slots above Arcade Fire, The Suburbs.1095 - Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is - Angry Red
... they have lists for Top Songs of the 1890s, 1900s, 1910s, etc. So basically from the wax-cylinder era all the way up to Spotify.
Once went to a high school graduation party for the wife's cousin. They're pretty wealthy, and had an actual band playing the party.
They played a cover of ol #2189, and the entire dance floor cleared. She and I had our own 2-person dance party to it.
End of the song, singer goes "yeah, I guess that song only appeals to a very narrow age demographic".
Is it my imagination, or has every post-Marley reggae act covered this?Round 16.07 - Toots and The Maytals - Pressure Drop (278) - 1970
Yes, as has Robert Palmer and Izzy Stradlin. Is it my imagination, or has every post-Marley reggae act covered this?
Amateur hour compared to the ongoing Genrepalooza thing. A year now!But up for the 10,000 song draft.
No "Love Is Like Oxygen"
That's pretty suspect for a 10K-deep list. With this absolute classic just a few spots away at #7008. Feel like I might get sniped by @Northern Voice on this one.#7003 is a ####### great song. The entire lyrics of the song are "the cocaine is not good for you", in Spanish, then English, over and over and over again on repeat.
No "Love Is Like Oxygen"That's pretty suspect for a 10K-deep list.
The Jam has like 15 songs on there. Well respected. Please tell me The Jam/Paul Weller are represented there.#812 on the Top 10,000
Should be higher imoWith this absolute classic just a few spots away at #7008. Feel like I might get sniped by @Northern Voice on this one.
Why we talking about obscure bands trying to be cool? The Jam has like 15 songs on there. Well respected.
Fine with that. Sucker for falsetto.Andy Gibb's "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" is in there at a sweet #6861, though! No "Love Is Like Oxygen"That's pretty suspect for a 10K-deep list.
I love every song left in that group but I was telling @Steve Tasker just a while ago that this was close to my favourite song left on the board.16.04 Donna Summer - I Feel
Love
(#52)
Sorry gang, life got in the way this evening.
This song is legitimately at least top 3 in this group of songs for me, alongside Smokey Robinson and Tears for Fears. I've drafted it a lot over the years, hell @Pip's Invitation thinks I've drafted a carbon copy of it already in this draft![]()
The Hold Steady (wrongly) didn't make this list, but here's a Hold Steady quote:
Me and my friends are like the drums on "Lust for Life?
We pound it out on floor toms
Our psalms are sing-along songs
16.08 - Lust For Life - Iggy Pop (#325)
