**NFC Divisional Round - Packers at Niners** (-10, 50.5) Kickoff Sat 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Interesting time management there
Not really. Get any points here and get the ball 1ST in the 2nd half. Don't leave any time for GB before the half.

Sure but why not go for the td?
Right - they burned 30+ seconds. Why would they play for the FG!
Because Shanahan
Best team in the NFC and settling for a FG? Seems dumb. U play to win the game. They lost 30 seconds. They should have had 2 throws into the end zone. I like the chances there.

They had the ball at midfield with 1:30 left and all three timeouts. Very strange how that played out.

Ravens were lucky to be tied at the half, then outscored Houston 24-0

49ers lucky to be up by at the half. Let’s see how they respond

Neat strategy playing for a 48yarder in the rain :lmao:
Playing not to lose. I can say with confidence that McDaniel (and many other coaches) would've been more aggressive. Worst case, pin GB near their goal-line.
Ravens did a similar thing. I know they have a far better kicker but opting for a FG on 4th and 3 from the opponents 35 is cowardly. Looked like it could have been costly when they entered half tied and they hadn't really seen many other scoring chances.

Yards per play in the first half:

49ers: 5.7
Packers: 5.3

Brock Purdy: 10-16
Jordan Love: 10-16

Niners getting the ball first gives them an edge IMO but they need to wake the F up

Rooting for Green Bay because I love the chaos that comes from a #1 seed losing on Saturday, setting up a Sunday game where the winner is suddenly the unexpected host of the following week’s Conference Championship game

Imagine Tampa-Detroit tomorrow with the winner knowing they’re hosting the #7 seed with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line

Boo this man. Booooooooooooooooo!

This game's over. 9ers shook off the rust from the long layoff and will dominate. Easy win. Packers don't have a chance. They are completely out-gunned and way too young to beat SF at home.
