163.05 with Welker (-14.8) and Kyle Rudolph (-7.6). Was thinking this was good, but lots of high scores being posted here.

:scared: 118.65 after the 1pm games :(I have....Brady - 18.05ADP - 5.80/6.7MBIII - 5.80/6.7Evans (Har) - 7.3/8.3/13.6/29.3Burleson - 7.3/8.3/13.6/29.3Burress - 7.3/8.3/13.6/29.3Hernandez - 7.3/7.6:scared:-QG
116.2 + ADP - 6.2 + Brady - 11.3 + Hernandez + Shianco - 5.8 - 0 (te & flex).The fact that historical scoring suggests I'll finish at 145 - 185 (expectation 152) versus posted cut line of 137 gives me no comfort.I feel the turk's hot breath on my neck as Brady wanders into the meadowlands.

And I am done at 192. Not looking forward to next week with a ton of key players on bye, including Schaub, Jimmy Graham (leaves me with only Aaron Hernandez), Antonio Brown, Ben Tate, and Isaac Redman off.

Done at 160. Hoping that's enough, although I feel like I've been dead man walking for weeks now so the fact that I made it this far is a victory. I don't expect to make the final 250, it's just a matter of when I finally get turked.

Last Update - Cutoff: Sunday, November 13th 8:01pm Cutoff at that time: 124.65Last

Not at 137 yet, but it will probably get there with some big players left in the late game and MON night.

I think the Bears Lions game quit updating.
That's what happens when all the Stafford owners start screaming at the 4th interception....... with no TDs
I think the Bears D blew up OC's calculator
Yup.. I need to have it grab the scores for a longer period of time to account for the ends of the later games that run late. I just re-ran the stats, it should be accurate now.

I wish I could use Bironas' 16 points next week...since I didn't need it this week. :excited:

Nothing to really complain about at 196.3, though. :coffee:

Gostkowski outscored Steven Jackson.

Should be moving on to Week 11 with ~180 and Jordy Nelson. I'm going to miss Ben Tate and Antonio Brown.

Now 152.35 + (ADP - 5.8)

Feel a little better thanks to Brady (especially) and to a lesser extent Plax and Hernandez.

Really hope ADP pours it on though to remove any doubt.

:scared:

Currently sitting at 179.8 with Jordy Nelsen at -12.2 still to go. That should be good enough to move onward to week 11.

However, injuries and byes will leave me with only 1 RB, Ray Rice.

OC's latest (run at 12:31am) shows a cut-line of 141 as of right now (i.e. before the Packers and Vikings get added to the mix).

151.7 and done unless the Vikings D beats the Texans D. Not too optimistic considering there are a few big time players left.

Brady finally earning his salary, moved me up to 172 pts. Unless Cobb does something unexpected tonight, that's where I'll finish. Should be good enough to move on, but I REALLY need DMC to get back on the field. I can't keep relying on Reggie Bush to be my stud.

Was the cut line move from 124ish to 141 due only to the Jets/Pats game or was there some Bear/Lion updating in there also? Thanks

Yeah, I'm likely out too at 147.1. I knew my WR would be the death of me eventually and it happened. It was a fun ride at least.

I'm in the same boat...especially next week. DMC could be a game-changer for the final 1600 - I'll be very curious to see how his other owners fare this week (assuming 164.3 gets me through). He was only 9% owned to start the contest...My RB pair has been Wells and Tate for the last 3 weeks (no McFadden, Felix, or Hightower).

I'm done at 172+, on to next week. My goal was to make the final 1000 and now I'm one step closer...

My team is still running on fumes with no points from my top 2 RB's or top 2 WR's. this week. Not sure how much longer I can ride Bush, Tate, D Moore and A Brown (week 11 Bye) and still keep making the cut. I need Hillis, Wells, V Jackson and Tampa Mike to get back in the ring and fight for the finals.

My contest future is in their hands.

never really understood statements like this.....not just in contests like this and stuff but in other aspects of life as well....guess I must be kinda ol' school or something.....but if you are going to enter something like this wouldn't the "goal" be to try and win it....not settling for finishing 999th or something.....

My goal was to whip your behinds so bad that second place was all you were playing for. Looks like I failed miserably.

I don't expect the cut line to move much. I don't see alot of highly owned players playing tonite. I expect a lot of the Packers outside of Rodgers and Jennings are on the big rosters which have good scores posted already. I don't think many still remaining would have Viking players.

That's the thing, every player who scored for me this week (except kicker with 8 and Schaub at 24) scored between 12-20 points. So it wasn't any one position.

I need like ZERO movement in the cut line, I think I have 143.7 or somethign like that (Scoresheet is at home)... any chance there is a 0-0 tie today with no turnovers to help the defense? :bye:

I've had really early exits the past few years and my expectations were admittedly low. It's called being realistic. Call me crazy but beating 90+% of the 10,000 FBG's in this contest is an accomplishment I'd be happy to hang my hat on. With so much luck involved in a contest like this, half the fun is in seeing how many weeks your team makes it.That being said, if my team makes the final 250 I'll be in it to win it and will be talking smack like nobody's business...

Totally unofficial and mostly useless, but if every player scored exactly what Dodds has them projected to score tonight, the cut line would move to 147.10.

Obviously every player won't score exactly what Dodds has them projected to, and I don't have distributions built in to actually run a sim like Drinen used to do, so take it with many grains of salt.

Wow...that really surprises me. Must be a lot of ARodgers owners sitting just below the current cut line.

I'm at 147.1 with Jordy -8.3.

Blech. Atrocious week, absolutely atrocious. What are the odds that Jennings + Harvin - 3.1 - 3.7 => 40? I figure that's what I need to have a shot (currently @ 111.6).

I guess we'll see if Jennings was worth all those $2 and $3 WRs.

Surprises you how, too much movement or not enough?ETA: Here are the Rodgers owners, their current total score, and their current QB score for the week:

Wow...that really surprises me. Must be a lot of ARodgers owners sitting just below the current cut line.
Surprises you how, too much movement or not enough?
Surprises me that we'll see that much movement for a number of reasons...1) Non-bye week so more players should have posted a score, fewer zeros getting replaced tonite.2) I don't see alot of widely held players tonite. Minny is waste land.3) A lot of the commonly held guys posted decent numbers like Bush, Moore, Tate, etc.

Blech. Atrocious week, absolutely atrocious. What are the odds that Jennings + Harvin - 3.1 - 3.7 => 40? I figure that's what I need to have a shot (currently @ 111.6).I guess we'll see if Jennings was worth all those $2 and $3 WRs.
Harvin will be the key. You need a TD and 100 to get you in the game.Rooting for you as you've been a great contributor to this thread even though we disagree on strategy.

Anyone else feel like they are just along for the ride? I'm posting 180+ weeks now, but feel like I have no shot to place high. My 10 RB strategy seemed like a good play at the time, but now I don't have the horsepower to post 200 pt weeks.

Jones/Wells/Bush/Harrison/Kirim/Tate/Ward/Howling/Hardesty/Barber are great for navigating bye weeks but aren't that scary. Really banked on Foster/Hillis/Forte/Best/MJD going down. Best did but Harrison wasn't the answer.

Next year I think I risk having one stud at the RB position. I had Rice on my roster for most of the pre-season but dumped him because I thought Bush/Jones were great value plays and was concerned about week 5. I also upgraded my QB position to Brady (had Stafford) and added Graham in the last iteration when I cut Rice. I envisioned Tate/Barber/Harrison as late season starters and absolutely dominating late.

<-- Raises handShould make it to week 11 with a 176 and change this week, but there is no way I'm in contention for anything. Haven't been since Britt went down in week 3. Amazed to make it this far.

Best did but Harrison wasn't the answer.Next year I think I risk having one stud at the RB position.
I went with Steven Jackson as my "stud" and have gotten alot of help with the situations Tate and Bush are in. I backed up Jackson with Cadillac Williams but he just hurt himself jogging out to the field so I'm done if Jackson gets hurt. I wish I pulled the trigger and went with Fred Jackson to round out my Jackson-heavy roster. Vincent Jackson is my "stud" WR but he's wildly inconsistent.

Thanks for the sentiment, guys. If I'm eliminated, which appears likely, I'll stick around. This is the first time I've taken this contest seriously, and I'm a long way away from feeling comfortable with my philosophy. So I plan on trying to steal everyone else's good ideas. ;)

BNB, RB is where I felt the most lost coming in and still feel the most lost. While most of my discussions with folks have centered around WR examples, nothing I've seen has fundamentally altered my approach at that position. At most I think I may take my least confident $18ish WR and trade him in for a handful of cheaper options next year.RB, on the other hand, has me completely flummoxed. The salaries for the "studs" are astronomical, as are the salaries for the most appealing back-ups and 2nd tier guys. I approached this season thinking that planning on my flex from the WR position seemed like the most cost-effective approach. FWIW, next year I intend to at least double my TEs for the same reason. Regardless, I whiffed on the same guys everyone else whiffed on, and my alternatives were too few and too crappy. I don't see how in the world I could have solved that problem though -- the non-crappy alternatives were too expensive.

:hey: took the opposite approach to what I have often seen "pimped" as the way to go...."have early bye weeks".....I went late bye week.....next week (11) is my tough week....although I thought I had it covered....my goal was to stay in it as long as I can and hope that injuries, etc to other teams along the way made them weaker when it came down to the final weeks which would hopefully bring me back to the field and with a fighting chance.....Ben, Campbell, McCoy...thought I be able to pick between Campbell and McCoy this week...nopegood chance my only two RB's this week are Barber and Goodson....(was supposed to have Felix and Hillis covering me while Mendy/Redman/Ward/Tate were on bye)......nopeok at WR with only A. Brown n bye (well and MSW... :wall: )and missing Graham.....so while I only have 7 of my 29 on bye.....misfortune with my key high dollar players (Felix/Hillis)who were supposed to help me produce this week and on into the later weeks if I would have been so lucky, have me sitting in the seat behind the bus driver with my back pack on waiting for him to open the door.....been a good ride though.....and probably didn't have the firepower to throw up those 200 point monster weeks as it is if I made it past week 11....thought Ben/Mendy/Hillis/Felix/Graham/Hernandez along with my stable of WR's might give me a chance.....but I gave Mendy/Hillis/Felix too much credit going in......

Just to update myself...

I would have squeaked by the cut line this week had I not been cut in week 3. Finished with 113.1.
Again, would have gotten by.Finished with 127.35.
Again would have gotten by.Finished with 154.9.
And, again.Finished with 138.15.

ETA: Had I made it through (out in week 3), I would have used 27 of my 30 players. The only guys I would not have used yet are Danny Amendola, Evan Moore and Harry Douglas.
Would have made it again.Finished with 186.05.

Still at 27 of my 30 players contributing.
You do realize this is probably true of a lot of teams. Too bad the point isn't to make it every week except 1.
Yes, I do. And, yes, I understand the point. Thanks for being a ####.Did you read the bolded portion?

Correct. GDogg, you're torturing yourself for no reason. Yours is just 1 of 3,157 entries that have missed the cut one week but otherwise would have made the cut every other week.
I absolutely understand that. And, one of 3,157 makes me feel worse, actually. It's fewer entries than I thought.Again, this was to keep myself updated each week. If it bothers others in this thread, my apologies. While others obviously find it annoying (which is pretty odd), I don't understand how anyone can't play the "what if?" game. I'm just doing it in this thread because it's the easiest place for me to keep quoting myself while I read through the thread anyway. Like many of you, I keep following the contest even after I'm eliminated for the discussion.

This is my first time in so I am not sure. I have been above the cut line by a good margin most every week but haven't put up huge numbers. I only have Wallace and Owen Daniels on bye week 11 so I feel like I should be Ok there. here is my team:
QB - Philip Rivers - SD/6 - $24QB - Colt McCoy - CLE/5 - $10RB - Ray Rice - BAL/5 - $35RB - Chris Wells - ARI/6 - $16RB - Brandon Jacobs - NYG/7 - $16RB - Montario Hardesty - CLE/5 - $4RB - Deji Karim - JAX/9 - $3RB - Marion Barber - CHI/8 - $3RB - Isaac Redman - PIT/11 - $2WR - Larry Fitzgerald - ARI/6 - $28WR - Mike Wallace - PIT/11 - $23WR - Mario Manningham - NYG/7 - $19WR - Nate Burleson - DET/9 - $8WR - Danny Amendola - STL/5 - $8WR - Jordy Nelson - GB/8 - $7WR - Eric Decker - DEN/6 - $6WR - Jordan Shipley - CIN/7 - $4WR - Harry Douglas - ATL/8 - $4TE - Owen Daniels - HOU/11 - $12TE - Lance Kendricks - STL/5 - $6PK - Rian Lindell - BUF/7 - $2PK - Olindo Mare - CAR/9 - $2PK - Jay Feely - ARI/6 - $2TD - Buffalo Bills - BUF/7 - $2TD - Denver Broncos - DEN/6 - $2TD - Jacksonville Jaguars - JAX/9 - $2
In hindsight i would have went with another good TE, otherwise I like this team.
