kardplayer,I can't find my team 101318
I can't either my team is 100804 and still alive.
In the spreadsheet, you should be able to search for it. Just click "Edit" and then "Find" (or "Find and Replace") - then type in your team #
I don't see 100804 on the spreadsheet. I would appreciate it if someone else could find it for me. I don't think it is on the spreadsheet. Does that mean I automatically advance? :)

Pfft. Rivers sitting on the sidelines thanks to JAX's inept offense and failing to keep it somewhat close. Jackson coming up short, RBs totally disappeared and I'll be bounced. Karim inactive...nice. A few points from him would have helped.

Meh. 289 out of 12,000...not bad but its bittersweet. So close to the money round. GL to those remaining.

Dude, you were eliminated in Week 4.
:lmao:
What are you laughing at... I was eliminated week 13.

It does not appear the final sack knocked anyone out, but it did move someone from 260 to 253.

I'm double checking all the data to make sure my inputs are good for the MNF game.

Definitely check the official numbers tomorrow - I was dead on last week, but you never know.

I'm going to join the "fire Norv" crowd if pulling the starters costs me.
On to the money round for the first time!!! Thanks kardplayer for the hard work these last few weeks, As well as Iggy, OC, QG, and others out there.
My pleasure... last week I was doing it selfishly - I rode Jimmy Graham to making the cut by 2.45.This week, I did it because I remember how on edge I was last week - paying it "forward" so to speak :)Hopefully that's good karma and helps me ride to the top of the final 250!

I would love to see one of you database junkies handicap the Final 250. Maybe grab the projected stats from Lineup Dominator for a cumulative score for Weeks 14-16, and apply them to the remaining 250 teams. I know that's not very realistic, but you know how we live for this stuff.

Also, I know others were curious about this, but maybe we can get a list together of the regular contributors here who have made the final 250. I'll start it off...

This is above my skill level... and I prefer the term "spreadsheet jock" by about 3 touchdowns over "database junkie" :)

#166 (Team 103768) pass the Cristal! Would be lucky to win anything, but it's been fun. Let the freeroll begin. I'm fortunate to have gotten this far. Note to self, get better kickers and defenses next year.

#312. Missed the cut by 7.75. :kicksrock:

I never stood a chance of winning the big money anyway, so it's not a big deal. Good luck to those of you still in it, I hope one of you takes it home.

I was knocked out in week 11. I would have made the finals without the one bad week. I had 7 low value players on a bye week. Who know my team would be so dependent on Antonio Brown, Denerius Moore, Benjamin Tate, and Pierre Thomas to make the cuts each week. Their scores counted half of the time for my team.

Made the final 250 for the first time ever. Thank you Floyd for coming back this week and even a bigger thank you Lord Stephens-Howling whose OT heorics were the difference at my flex postion.

I think I'm in the top 100 total scores for the year, however I have zero chance to finish in the big money. My roster is completely covered by the field...

Brady 13%, Stafford >50%

Wells 50%, Bush 30%, Tate >50%, Barber and Jones around 20%

VJ 30%, Floyd 20%, Moore 35%, Manningham 16%, Moore 40%, Brown >50%, Burleson >50%

Graham 40%, Kendricks 40%

Even my kickers and Ds are roughly around 20% ownership.

My only real difference makers are Brady and Pettigrew. The one commonly held guy that I don't have is Ray Rice and he's the one I would need to be competitive.

I think I'm pretty much locked into a 75th to 175th finish.

And the final survival stats...

Code:

Yeah, there is a unique dynamic in the last few weeks that is impossible to predict. If the highly-owned players score well, you need them on your roster to keep you from being buried under the mountain of the other 249 entries.

But to get in the money you need at least 2 or 3 unique players to score well too.

I haven't checked my ownership stats, but I know I'm in a similar position because I have a lot of those guys too (Team 100814).

So my team of Rivers, Stafford, Ray Rice, McGahee, Howling, VJax, Wallace, Burleson, Antonio Brown, McCluster, Finely, and freaking Travis Beckum did squat last week to get me eliminated at 12th to last.

Meanwhile they would have been the 29th best team this week to get me to the finals. :wall:

Shows how one unlucky week can kill you in this.

I missed it by 6.5 points. Thanks, Norv, for yanking Rivers and Jackson.Definitely looked promising at halftime...Rivers had 2 TDs and 200+ yards passing and Jackson had 4-72 and a TD. I blame it on me checking the damn Gametracker to view the stats. definitely my fault.Good luck to the rest of you guys that squeaked in.

I may have low balled it. I have a 23 man roster btw. I'll say 66 spots 23 and under roster size. Make your guess.
160 is the number based on an even attrition rate across the board, so that may be a tad high. I'll go with 150, roughly a 10% and 12% survival rate for sub-23 and 24+ rostsers respectively.Yours assumes the 24+ rosters will suffer roughly a 5 times greater survival rate than the sub 23 rosters (4.5% vs. 22.2%).
Looking at it a little more this morning, I think 66 is way too low and 150 is way too high. I'll put my official guess at 120.
Looks like Tennessee_ATO was right about this one. Final count is 144.

Does anyone have access to the post-season subscriber contest rules from last year? I know they were posted earlier but I doubt I'll be able to locate which page it was posted on. thanks

There are 48 18-man teams in the final 250. Almost 1/5 of the final field has 18 players...anyone re-thinking the large rosters????

Stop skewing the data. There are 48 18-man teams in the final 250, because there were over 3500 18-man rosters entered in the contest. The fact of the matter is, you would have been over 400% more likely to make the finals with a 30-man team than an 18-man team.

1/3 of the starting field was 18 man rosters.I'm not re-thinking large rosters as they've dominated again this year. What I'm re-thinking is not having a stud RB on my large roster. Easily could have dumped Jones/Manningham for Rice. A large roster is 4-5 times more likely to make the finals. I'd take my chances at 5 lottery tickets weighted at 1 v. 1 lottery ticket weighted a 2.

:( It's official. I missed the cut my only a mere 36 points.

Congrats to the 250 who made it

@bass - You can certainly still win even with a less unique roster. If you have the highest scorer at each position (and flex) on your roster you will come in first. Here's hoping it happens :)

288th, 157.90 for me, missed it by 7 points or so....

Good Luck to those remaining, and huge thanks to the data base and google gurus!!

My team, with guys who I don't expect to contribute in red.

Very similar to BassNBrew, kevzilla, littlephatty, asslete, rock solid, and :sigh: lhucks, amongst others, and I think I've got more dead weight than most.

Also, I know others were curious about this, but maybe we can get a list together of the regular contributors here who have made the final 250. I'll start it off...

wollac - Team 101380
108th Revision - Team 100772
kardplayer - Team 104497
I'm surprised to see only 6 survivors have Cam Newton.I'm still fighting the good fight with a roster of 18 on Shark Vegas:

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2011/102446.php

Ben Roethlisberger......$23.....13.....5%

Matthew Stafford.........$18....130....52%

Thanks for the well wishes. Sorry you aren't joining the final 250. I like to see the contributors here do well. The problem is that my players are covered by everyone else. Someone will have the combo of the ones that actually perform plus a guy like CJ, Nicks, MJD, etc that will blow up. One glimmer of hope would be if Barber could hang with the other stud RBs.

My relatively crappy 28-man roster and commentary

QB

Matthew Stafford 130 52% fairly popular 2 Qbs. Can't complain I guess

Philip Rivers 71 28%

RB

Ben Tate 130 52% might factor as a flex on a bad week

Chris Wells 123 49% somewhat surprising

Tim Hightower 87 35% Inj.

Deji Karim 52 21% bad lottery ticket

Montario Hardesty 31 12% useless

Roy Helu 28 11% has been nice down the stretch

Derrick Ward 25 10% useless

Javon Ringer 19 8% useless,but was a lottery ticket

Arian Foster 7 3% Run, Arian, run

WR

Antonio Brown 132 53% has had some nice games

Nate Burleson 127 51% too busy pushing off or tripping out of bounds to be useful

Lance Moore 89 36% occasional useful game

Dexter McCluster 66 26% was hoping for more

Malcom Floyd 49 20% a couple of useful weeks

Danny Amendola 47 19% inj

Jordy Nelson 44 18% my savior

Roddy White 31 12% big disappointment

Chaz Schilens 1 0% sadly, actually used him a couple of times

TE

Aaron Hernandez 83 33% looked great until he hurt his knee. Solid still. Wish I had chosen Gronk or Graham.yikes

Lance Kendricks 108 43% sleeper? More like comatose

Evan Moore 54 22% same as above

These two positions have been killing me

K

Josh Brown 54 22% The offense is a dog

Matt Bryant 28 11% Offense isn't as prolific as expected

DEF

Houston Texans 69 28% have been ok

Dallas Cowboys 42 17% expected more from Mr. Ryan

Atlanta Falcons 7 3% rounds out a bad trio
