Yesterday was a great day shovel pass to MJD wins me my FBJs Championships league championship 1600 bucks and I make the final 250 by .30 life is good.Good luck to everyone.

Well I'm in the final 250. Second time in the 4 years I've been in it. Happy to be here but after seeing some of the remaining rosters I have zero shot at winning. I feel like I selected a team built to survive, not win it all.

I've crushed you on ytd points and would trade rosters in a heartbeat. Matthews, CJ, Bryant, and Finley are all difference makers. I really like what you did here.Beating a dead horse here, but that 3rd QB is worthless. Two more kickers, one D, and Brown/Moore would provide more points.

First time I have made the final 250. Limping in, unfortunately, so don't really like my chances. My roster (with % owned by other finalists):
QB: Matt Schaub (4.4%): This is what will really cost me. Only having 1 active qb, and one heavily owned at that, spells doom.
QB: Matt Stafford (52.4%): He came up with 2 huge games in the last 2 weeks that kept me in the contest.
RB: Ray Rice (46.8%): He is one of two starting backs I own, so I need him to continue to perform at a high level
RB: Beanie Wells (49.6%): If not for his huge game two weeks ago, I would be done.
RB: Tim Hightower (34.8%): Didn't really contribute, even when healthy
RB: Montario Hardesty (12.8%): He had an opportunity, didn't do great, then got hurt. Hoping he gets another shot with Hillis dinged.
RB: Deji Karim (20.8%): Inactive last week. Worthless.
RB: Ben Tate (52.4 %): Great when he plays.
RB: Isaac Redman (14.4 %): When he plays, he does well. But with Mendenhall healthy, can't see him doing anything.
RB: Taiwan Jones (5.2 %): Whiffed on a cheap player.
WR: Larry Fitgerald (11.2 %): Hot and cold. I really need him to step up and have some huge games with Kolb back. Low ownership rate.
WR: Brandon Marshall (4.4%): See above. Not many people own him, and he is capable of big games. I need him and Fitzgerald to have big scoring weeks, at the same time, which rarely has happened.
WR: Mario Manningham (16.4%): By far most dissapointing player on my team relative to his price ($19). And likely won't play again.
WR: Bernard Berrian (10%): Wow, no idea what I was thinking. Washed up, never was player, with zero upside. All for the bargain price of $5!
WR: Mohamed Massoquoi (7.6%): $4 for a young starting receiver seemed like a no brainer. He still starts (I think), but is lucky to snag 2 catches.
WR: Antonio Brown (53.2%): Absolutely huge for me all season.
WR: Legedu Naanee (2.4 %): Not a terrible contributor. He counted last week.
WR: Dexter McCluster (26.4%): Wish the Chiefs would use him more.
TE: Jimmy Graham (39.6%): Best player on my team
TE: Aaron Hernandez (33.2%): Has scored as my flex alot
TE: Lance Kendricks (43.6%): Haven't has to rely on him
K: Rian Lindell (11.6%) - Glad to see he is healthy
K: Mike Nugent (4.4%) - Cheap kicker
K: Jay Feely (33.2%) See above

Well, this is my team in the final 250. I don't think I have the best chance of finishing well, but having Arian Foster is a good thing, as I believe there are only 7 of us with him. My WRs are solid, but not very unique. TE will likely be my undoing, as I don't have a very strong group there. I had expected a lot more from Owen Daniels and Lance Kendricks.
But, you never know what can happen, so off we go!

I wasn't spending any time in the SP when I filled this out. I honestly didn't even know who Brown and Moore were, or Kendricks for that matter, lol. As far as next year goes I will definitely be taking the extra kickers and defenses. What I hated about my defenses this year was I spent money on them, but picked the wrong ones. Agree McCoy was a complete waste. Congrats to you on advancing and good luck!
And I was spending too much, hence the least unique roster of those remaining. Now that you've run the gaunlet, the less group think approach has a much better shot of working.

Jerrigan and Kendricks? I cannot imagine what I was thinking. Cam because he was relatively cheap. I spent the most money on WR due to PPR but should have paid more attention to the TE at 1.5 PPR. What has been amazing is how each week a different WR blows up and then disappears.
I don't know what the future will bring but even if I am # 250 I will be a happy camper.
Now I just have to convince the wife that all the grand kids really want for Christmas is to watch the the Red Zone channel all day!

Just a note to myself to include more players from higher scoring offenses next year. Avoid players on the Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams and other low-scoring teams no matter how "cheap" they appear to be. They are "cheap" for a reason...lesson learned.

Party yes, partly no. If you pick all players from the two teams that you think will make the Super Bowl, even if you guess correctly you probably won't make it to the Super Bowl. It's a very difficult balancing act; much harder than the regular season contest IMO.

Could have gotten through with only Stafford, as the only weeks I used Orton (+6.45 in Week 4) and Bradford (+11.95 in Week 9) I didn't need their increments to beat the cutline.

Lynch won me over with his playoff run last year - I'm definitely a sucker for a highlight.
I changed the backs combos a hundred times trying to get a good compliment of bye weeks with this and other positions. I can't remember who I was trying to work in, but this ended up being a pretty good set of guys (Hightower's injury notwithstanding)
Ward was the only guy who didn't count for me this year - no regrets though, as I'm guessing the $6 for him and Tate was fairly well spent (Tate counted 6 times)
Redskins backs are perfect for this format - probably should have doubled up Timmy with Helu though instead of taking Orton. Could have used that $7 to upgrade Celek to Gronk, and my team would be a lot more dangerous these next few weeks.

I love the Wallace pick as my one higher end guy. He was the only player to count for me 12 times (even his 3.7 in Week 12 counted).
Had high hopes for Ford going into the season. The rest of the guys were lottery tickets and they paid off a little better than I expected.

Jimmy's huge Week 12 game helped me sneak over the line 156.90 to 154.55. This pleased me greatly. Will definitely go 4 TE's next year if the structure stays the same - way too many points to be had here to go a different direction. 8X the flex game from TE.

Had 3 of the $2 guys, and had double digits 9 out of 13 weeks. No idea how that stacks up to others. Next year, I'd grab a 4th in case of injury since...

... kickers get hurt but defenses don't. Double digits 10 of 13 weeks here. Again, no idea how that stacks up.
My general thought on PK and Def was the same as it was in a regular draft - just need some warm bodies there, as the real points are made on offense. No regrets on not spending more money to get better names.
Fingers are crossed to get into the money, not holding out any hope for the big $$$ though (although I can think of a few ways to spend it).
Thanks to everyone who keeps this thread alive with data and conversation. I have been lurking all year. My first year to play and it is by far my favorite contest/league of the many I am in. The week 11 bye along with injuries was my downfall. Good luck to all and cannot wait to next year.

If AJ is out this weekend, he's relying on Kendricks for his flex score. He'll need to pop a big week at some point because one or two of those guys will throw up a stinker over a 3 week time frame. He alternated between crushing the cut and barely surviving over the entire season.Also, 22 teams still have the Rodgers/Rice combo. That's a lot of competition to beat with a short roster.

Pretty good night for me. The Moore owners gained some ground on me. 11.5 is a decent fallback flex score for them. A couple of Cotchery owners also got a good floor flex score. The McCoy owners will have to look elsewhere. No one on Pitt bested Brown and and the kicker and defense came up small.
My team was built on machine gun spray, not precision, so 26 from a WR is huge hit.

What happened was that the large rosters got small leg up on the small stud rosters.
