is this limiting his innings a short term thing or are we looking at all year?Mike Morse has played 16 innings in LF without a fly ball hit in his direction. After he was lifted tonight, the first batter hit a line drive at his defensive replacement.
He'll be lifted routinely for a real outfielder. He won't have a lot of 5 PA games.is this limiting his innings a short term thing or are we looking at all year?Mike Morse has played 16 innings in LF without a fly ball hit in his direction. It was not viewed as a neighborhood play. The throw prevented the shortstop from staying on the bag. It will be interesting to see further challenges and where that line is drawn.Very interesting play in the Cubs-Pirates games where the supposedly unchallengeable neighborhoodplay was challenged and overturned.
I don't like expanded replay, but I guess its here to stay. I'm ok with it on boundary calls
Yes but in the past, and based on how it was called on the field( he was out but clearly away from the bag), thats the classic definition of the neighborhood play. Its such a fine line on that call and frankly its stupid, and if you watched the Harold Reynolds breakdown he had a GREAT point. Rizzo had been hit twice, he was on 1st coming to second and he was clearly out for blood and you saw him come in like a freight train and deliberately slide to take out the guy.It was not viewed as a neighborhood play. Doing Draftkings with the same experiment. So far, 2 losing days and one winning day. Down overall. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!Decided to give Fanduel a whirl here this season. If anyone else is doing this, maybe I'll start up a thread on it.
Since I just started, it's going to take some getting used to, but I think I can at least make my money back this year![]()
The Pirate fans cheered when they got him out more loudly than anything else today.Bonifacio has done this to start a season before, going to enjoy this ride while it lasts.
But there's this guy named Chris Prince from Detroit who's won over $539,638I'd love to jump in on this, but the randomness of one day in baseball scares the crap out of me. Same reason I've never gambled on teh bases.
Little help!Just saw on Instagram that Chapman got his staples removed and says he feels great. Said he could be cleared to workout very soon. After getting the go to workout it has to be a short period of time until he's back, no?
Dude looks like a schmuck. If he can do that, I figure we're all good for seven figures with guys like MAC_32 giving streamer advice around here. But there's this guy named Chris Prince from Detroit who's won over $539,638I'd love to jump in on this, but the randomness of one day in baseball scares the crap out of me. i was trying not to second-guess based on result, but it sure seemed dumb after i thought about it.Yep and that would have been a double play ball
Maybe move the Chi Sox to Montreal...Bad day for baseball in Chicago. First you had the Cubs do this...
Junior Lake...oops
Then you have a crowd on the South Side that might be smaller today than yesterdy...

How about now?I know nothingNoYou think Brandon Belt's second-half performance will carry over into something permanent?Let's talk baseball
Next question![]()

At some point those third strikes are gonna start getting away from catchers, and he'll be down the line to first in like 3.6, and then who will be laughing?I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these Billy Hamilton steals. What's he on pace for now?

Willy Tavares didn't steal his first base until Apr 12 the year that he predicted he'd steal 100.At some point those third strikes are gonna start getting away from catchers, and he'll be down the line to first in like 3.6, and then who will be laughing?I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these Billy Hamilton steals. I bet he at least reached base a couple times before that, though.Willy Tavares didn't steal his first base until Apr 12 the year that he predicted he'd steal 100.At some point those third strikes are gonna start getting away from catchers, and he'll be down the line to first in like 3.6, and then who will be laughing?I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these Billy Hamilton steals. Cubs had five infielders last night, why wouldn't teams just take an outfielder and put him behind the catcher? At some point those third strikes are gonna start getting away from catchers, and he'll be down the line to first in like 3.6, and then who will be laughing?I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these Billy Hamilton steals. Baseball rules allow only one player completely in foul territory.Cubs had five infielders last night, why wouldn't teams just take an outfielder and put him behind the catcher? At some point those third strikes are gonna start getting away from catchers, and he'll be down the line to first in like 3.6, and then who will be laughing?I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these Billy Hamilton steals. His OPS is like 1.900 now.Chris Colabello with six RBI today, tying my career best. I think more people were there when I did it, though.
I've actually met his dad a few times. He's a cool story ... the kid played Div. 2 in college, literally battled his way through the independent leagues and wasn't even in an MLB organization until two years ago. Then he played for Italy in the WBC and was IL Player of the Year last year. His OPS is like 1.900 now.Chris Colabello with six RBI today, tying my career best. Please keep us postedI'll tell you what doesn't work on daily leagues: picking a team during your morning dump and having the game rained out that afternoon.

Brandon Phillips felt it best to foul off the first three pitches, preventing Hamilton from stealing, then swinging and missing on pitch 5 at a ball well out of the zone. Well played, Brandon. Well played.HAMILTON ON BASE, REPEAT BILLY HAMILTON HAS DRAWN A WALK

at the headline I saw elsewhere that said he shoved a fan. I think the writer of that article doesn't know what a shove is.I thought "shoved" was a little hyperbolic myself, but I figured I was just being a homer.Ishuke said:It looked like Matt Adams just pushed (albeit very lightly) a Reds fan for catching a ball that was in the stands.at the headline I saw elsewhere that said he shoved a fan.
