you're a douchecanoeBesides being a douchecanoe?How bad is Swisher?
You're a weird thing.Throwing the ball around the infield after a strikeout is kind of a weird thing when you think about it.
I've wondered why this is a thing my entire life. In little league I asked my coach why we did it and he said "just because."Throwing the ball around the infield after a strikeout is kind of a weird thing when you think about it.
Cause strikeouts are fascist.I've wondered why this is a thing my entire life. In little league I asked my coach why we did it and he said "just because."Throwing the ball around the infield after a strikeout is kind of a weird thing when you think about it.
Thanks, skip.
Makes sense in little league. If the other team isn't putting the ball in play you need to keep the defense involved and alert.I've wondered why this is a thing my entire life. I don't hate it at all, just wondered why they do it.I kinda like the throwing the ball around. In a sport that hates showing the other guy up, I've always seen it as a mild form of showboating that nobody acknowledges. I like it.
It's like the whole infield saying "Heyo!! Have a seat son" and "We're getting bored out here watching you sissies strike out"
I know nobody will agree, but that's how I see it.
That's behind my showboating theory. They don't need to stay sharp. They are just dancing on the grave of a failed AB.I don't hate it at all, just wondered why they do it.I kinda like the throwing the ball around. I guess keeping little leaguers sharp makes sense, doubt the pros need it though.
thats why I always thought they did itIt also takes the next batter like 2 minutes to get up to the plate. Gives everyone something to do or look at while we wait

Not about staying "sharp" ... about staying loose. Nothing is worse for readiness than getting back on your heels. Professional or not, it's human nature.pollardsvision said:That's behind my showboating theory. They don't need to stay sharp. definitely would seem worthwhile to have pablo sandoval whip the ball out to hunter pence. So it's okay if the outfielders don't stay loose?
Hunter Pence is one guy who I don't worry about his concentration straying during a game.definitely would seem worthwhile to have pablo sandoval whip the ball out to hunter pence. So it's okay if the outfielders don't stay loose?
well, now youre just getting ridiculousSo it's okay if the outfielders don't stay loose?

That's rough.team rant: my team doesn't have a W by a starting pitcher yet.
You have got to be ####### kidding me.
I've been pushing for this for years. That's rough.team rant: my team doesn't have a W by a starting pitcher yet.

We switched to QS a couple years ago. Feels nice not to have to worry about stupid wins anymore.
Does it feel better to worry about stupid quality starts? That's rough.team rant: my team doesn't have a W by a starting pitcher yet.

Next time its essential that an OF makes a sharp, accurate throw on a batted ball with no one on base, let me know.So it's okay if the outfielders don't stay loose?
