**Official 2014 MLB Regular Season-All over but the shouting (1 Viewer)

Ball hit to Pedro had its cover literally come off before it got to him. Couldn't make a solid throw as a result and it probably cost them a run. Was crazy. They'll play the highlight a billion times.

D-backs score the go-ahead run on a wild pitch/intentional walk.

That's now a handful of times I've seen that. I've suggested it before, and it was met with ridicule. But I'll say it again. Throw a soft, 5-hopper to the catcher, right to the middle of the plate on the ground. There is no way on earth the runner is gonna score on that.

Eeph, I'm gonna need an explanation on this one if you have it. Why is something named JUSTIN TURNER hitting 2nd in the Dodgers' $800M lineup? He is one of the worst hitters I've ever seen. 0-4 tonight with 3 strikeouts, and he couldn't even manage to get a bunt down in a huge spot. Embarrassing.

Dee Gordon can't hit LHP.

Alexander Guerrero is tearing up the PCL so far and will replace Turner sooner than later.

Cabrera is one of the best baserunners you have ever seen?

:loco:
He was on second, no one out today. Routine fly ball to CF (shading rightfield but not much) and Trout didn't put himself in a position to throw to third. Cabrera went, and beat an accurate throw. Next batter drove him in on a sacrifice fly.

He does this all the time, he's very underrated on the basepaths and one of the smartest baserunners in baseball IMO.

Miguel Cabrera doesn't look comfortable at the plate at all. Don't remember him being a slow starter.

Bryce Harper removed in the 7th for lack of hustle
I'm starting to question the Williams' hire.

ETA: This is the play he was benched for: https://vine.co/v/M1tVaMEZeHA

Note that Harper's been dealing with a quad issue the past few days, and, if I were to rank Nats players according to lack of hustle, Harper would be at the bottom of the list. It's just odd.

Houston/Oakland on MLB Network. There have to be tens of people tuned in.

Springer just hit a wall-ball double, though. And he got to 2nd base in about four seconds.

ESPN Radio national updater Jay Reynolds on Friday played John Sterling’s call from the night before, a call that concluded with, “a triple play that ends the inning!” To which Reynolds deadpanned, “as the vast majority of triple plays tend to do.”
:lmao:
