As someone who doesn't know any of these announcers, who they are or who they root for, I have to say that these two guys seem like the biggest homers I've heard so far. And no one else is even close.

Macca (the color guy) is no different than Twellman (color for US games) Both are former players and it is extremely difficult for them to not sound like homers.

Darke on the other hand should be professional enough to separate himself from his home country but that too is difficult.

For some reason I think it's ok in WC play. It's not like they're unfair to Uruguay. If anything, the UK announcers are pretty critical of England.

UK guys were clearly pro-USA too the other day and will be again on Sunday. Doesn't bother me.

Pure objectivity may be a nice thing but may also be cultural too.

That won't be the English fans story if they lose. The English fans will says it is because their team are a bunch of overrated chokers. They are a very pessimistic group of fans (for good reason).

No, so far England hasn't played well enough to win this game. But if Uruguay bunkers with 11 it's still a talking point. Some obvious bad calls that could have affected the outcome of this game.
