***Official 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs thread: Caps and Mystics to raise banners together in October. Congrats DC!!!!!!! (3 Viewers)

God bless you guys hanging in there, especially having to deal with Snyder too. I would have just become a comic book nerd or a porn addict instead.
All of the above down?

Eta: you forgot alcoholic so sign me up for the cycle.

Do Preds fans still do post goal chants of "you suck" and "it's all your fault" when their own starting goalie is pulled and they are down several goals?

I understand that Marchand has done a lot to cause officials not to like him, but that embellishment penalty call was really questionable.

He's known to be a diver too. That's not going to help him in a situation when he gets knocked over rather dramatically from a guy with his left hand on his chest.

Admittedly I only saw 1 replay but he seemed to go down quite easily.

I’m done with the officiating in this series. Marchand gets an embellishment penalty and that tripping call gets nothing the other way?  After a headhunting play takes out Backes.  Utter garbage.

Bruins would have been penalized and it would be a minor it would be a match call

hth
It looked like a rather inaucuous hit live. Took the crew 3 replays to see that it was helmet to helmet. The only possible scenario i see where thats a penalty is it's Marchand doing the hitting.

No. The officiating has sucked.

Tampa is the better team.

The two are not mutually exclusive.
100% this. Tampa has dominated the action all series and deserves to move on but the officiating has been so one-sidedly terrible that the league really needs to take a good hard look at itself.

I was waiting for Kucherov to score but have it nullified for goaltender interference after Chara threw him into the crease.

Congrats to @Capella @E Street Brat @Osaurus and any other Bolts fans I missed. Tampa is a fantastic team and did what they needed to do at the deadline, adding McDonagh and Miller to what already was a stacked team.

The Bruins will be in great shape going forward. None of their core will be FA — they lose (potentially) both Nashes, Schaller, Wingels, Holden and Khudobin. A lot of youth who got some great experience this year.

Looking forward to the rest of the playoffs. Good luck to everyone still left.

Series is as simple as this

Tampa D >> Bs D
Zero 5-on-5 goals over the final three games. Obviously Vasilevskiy was terrific of late but there just wasn’t the room to freelance in the attacking zone that the Bruins had in Game 1. You knew it wouldn’t be that easy.

I guess I get extending Chara for another year at $5M per but I definitely worry about that. And if all are healthy, they have six returning D (McAvoy, Miller, Krug, McQuaid, healthy Carlo) and an RFA in Grzelcyk. I’m not sure how Sweeney solves that puzzle. Maybe if you slot Donato into the top six permanently they can flip a D for a good third-liner with some scoring punch. They really missed an effective Riley Nash in this series. He never was the same after coming back from almost getting Van Goghed.

Awesome. That was so good. 3 east finals in 4 years, and I think this is the year they close it out.

But what has Yzerman really done

What did you sell for? Not a lotta money going to match that third period excitement.
2nd row (Club) in corner.  Got them cheap from a friend and sold the pair for $600.  Wasn’t sure I was gonna be around this weekend.  I have an option for the next series so I’ll most likely going to at least 1 game.
