I love this team I dont care if they dont win next week, they have perservered through tragedy and an exorbinant amount of injuries. Garrett love him or hate him has this team headed in the right direction.

I like stating the obvious. It'll be a glorious day when Jason Garrett is #### canned.

I thought it was an excellent game. The FG at the 49 yard line was never intentional, he was hoping to get Pitt to burn a TO.With all of our injuries and a 3-5 record to start the season, this team has turned around and is 5-1 in their last 6 games. With the crap we have on the offensive line, and the scrubs we've brought in to fill the many various injuries on defense, that is a spectacular coaching job in my opinion.Garrett will be a Cowboy next season, as he should be.

Hard to argue against this, that's for sure. It hasn't been pretty, but when you factor in how bad the O-line is and how many injuries on the defensive side of the ball, the team is playing well enough to win in some pretty pressure packed games.

I've been hard on Garrett ever since he got the job, but I have to say I was wrong. The way he's handled this team the last few weeks earns him another season. Probably even more than 1. Back around week 6-ish, I thought he'd lost this team. It's clear to me now that he hasn't. 2 unbelievable wins the last 2 weeks...games we had no business being competitive in, let alone winning. Great job against a hungry Steelers team.

Have to admit that I never expected them to win the last 2 games. But maybe facing a team as decimated as they are yields OT game and Dallas made a play. Maybe as bad as the OL is, going against teams with backup/injured guys gives them a chance.One has to be impressed by the will to win and will to keep fighting. If you don;t think thats part of coaching, then I don't know what to say to you. Anyway, on to the Saints. Should be a pinball machine with teams going up and down the field.

C'mon, fellas. Give them some credit. They didn't win today because Pittsburgh had injuries. Big Ben wasn't hurt when he took those sacks down the stretch or when he threw the pick to Carr. And they had their usual starting D-line and LB's back for today. Somehow they've pulled things together and are gelling at just the right time of the year. Another tough game next week, but at least there won't be 15,000 Saints fans in our house, I hope.

I sure hope we see some positivity in this thread for the next week.....Gg Cowboys, I've been waiting a long time for this one vs the Steelers. You can't imagine the feeling of winning this game amongst a bunch of Steeler fans at the bar. Waiving their little towels whenever the time is right....pathetic.

All I know is, we've been winning and we still have a chance at the division. The negativity comes deservedly, typically. How do you change the negativity? WIN. Not only that, but win when it counts. Huge win today! Game balls to Carr and Dwayne Harris. Im not sure if the O-line played good or the steelers pass rush was really bad. A bit of both I guess. Romo was money. And even though he had a costly red zone fumble, Murray continues to be impressive. Hes the difference maker for the offense.Brees and co. will score, but so should we. Them shutting out TB was an anomoly. This should be a fun one! One week at a time!

Collapse in the face of adversity.

Something has changed. I think it is Jason Garrett and his philosophy. This team no longer seems to exude a sense of entitlement. They exude a sense of hard work. Of a will to win. A belief in each other. Mental strength. An ability to overcome adversity.

Jason Garrett. Tony Romo. Jason Witten. Anthony Spencer. These guys are leading the way. These guys, who have all been derided in the past for multiple failures and shortcomings, are exerting major influence over this organization. They are demonstrating enourmous mental strength and fortitude.

Enjoy the ride. Be proud of your team, Cowboy fans. This is why we cheer for our team. This is what we hope to see in our team.

I still like the team and the coach. I have a particular affinity for certain players as well. They really have taken lemons and made lemonade. I hope they do well this year and into the future.

But after being a life long Cowboy fan (previous season ticket holder in the old and new stadium until last year) I just cannot totally commit to rooting for and financially supporting a team owned by Jerry Jones anymore. I fought it for years and tried to differentiate and separate the two but it simply goes against that little voice in my head and more so in my heart. He has chased me away from being a true blue Cowboys fan forever with all of his antics. I will always like the team and will cheer for them but at this point I do not get passionately and emotionally involved with their successes and failures.

I now find that I appreciate the game more as I try to be an objective NFL fan and not just a Cowboys fan. Much like I did when I dropped out of FF two years ago. Sundays are a lot more fun.

I will watch and even go to the games when friends invite me but I am not excited to ever see Jerry hoist another Lombardi trophy above his surgically modified head in his transparent skin, crypt keeperesque grasp.

You sound like your on the fence...if you we're the Cowboy fan that you say you were than I GAURANTEE! that if somehow we are able to lift the Lombardi YOU will be excited.

Maybe someone can fill me in but what did the organization do when Dwayne Goodrich killed those 2 people while intoxicated? Seems like Brent is getting treated a lot differently from what I remember.

I think Romo, Witten, and Ware are outstanding players/leaders. Don't forget Sean Lee, too, who while sidelined is still making a difference and being heavily involved. I still question so much of the rest of the crew, including Garrett. Speaking of, I want to like Garrett. However, his history of highly questionable game management decisions still give me great pause. Like, I think he gave serious consideration to kicking that 61 yard FG. Someone please exonerate him, if that's not the case. But, it seemed at the time like he had to talk himself out of it. I would have disowned him forever, had he gone through with it (make or miss).

Random stuff.

Romo had the cleanest pocket I can ever remember most of the game. Great escape job otherwise. Harris looks solid but he needs to learn where the marker is. This team probably needs one more receiving weapon this offseason along with a RB2 upgrade and QB prospect.

How much does this team need on defense in the offseason and how much is injuries? A stud OL, pass rusher, or NT is obvious but I wouldn't be shocked if BPA factors into our 1st round pick. Hopefully there are some smart WW moves to allow for it.

McCray stands out as the worst player on the field at this point although his position makes him stand out more than maybe he deserves. I still look back to how good this team COULD have been without all these crushing injuries although maybe they don't rally without them.

I still expect them to lose every week now but finally they've figured out how to win the close one. Even if we miss this is a step in the right direction.

Garrett still had several calls I didn't agree with in late game but it worked this time around.

If we win the division we'll host the 5th seed ... probably a rematch vs Sea ... maybe without either starting CB. Give them another 5 huge injuries and it is even footing right?

Too bad we didn't get flexed to the night game ... if NYG loses to Blt we could have rested starters to go for the division ... not that they would knowing the WC is a fall-back option too. That said, if we do lose to the Saints if the Giants lose it doesn't matter what the Skins do. Kinda like last year. Taking the WC may actually be harder as it means we need others to lose.

I read somewhere the he put the FG unit out there, hoping to cause Pitt to burn one of their timeouts. If they didn't, we had a timeout that would have went to waste anyway. That makes much more sense, I doubt anyone would take a 61 yard FG there.

Exactly... he wasnt going to try that FG. And Garrett wasnt getting fired regardless after this year unless the team just totally quit no matter how much some people question him.

Not quite as simple as that. The team needs to re-do Romo and we aren't rolling in cap dough. Spencer after his performance this year will command closer to 10 milion/year on a long term contract as opposed the 6-7 milion he wanted to start the year. It's a lot of money to tie up in 2 players who are now both over 30 year old at the OLB position.

I think they are $20Mil over the cap right now. Cutting Free would lead to a larger cap hit than if he stays. And, they still have to absorb the rest of the BS cap penalty that was given to them by the committee lead by the Giants' Mara related to alleged salary dumps in the uncapped year.

the negative backlash is bull####i completely understand and share the anger at the stupid decision to drive drunk, which cost someone their life. But the family of the deceased has embraced Brent and asked the players and team to support him and embrace him. Anyone who thinks they have a right to be more upset about this than the family of the deceased is either not thinking clearly or is disingenuous.If the family's reaction were different perhaps i would feel different, but as far as I am concerned Boomer Esiason and Cowher can shove it up their ####.

I'd like to see him stay a Cowboy. I'm not going to even get into the discussion of how they restructure contracts, salary cap, blah, blah, blah. That stuff is mind numbing. It was apparent how good he is when he wasnt on the field the season. The D missed him. IMO, he's been underrated playing opposite D.Ware. Ware/Spencer/Lee/Carter would be nice to keep intact.

Only issue is that Callahan is titled the offensive coordinator. And some comments made by the brass before the season started seemed to imply that Callahan may take over play calling responsibilities after some time with the team.So unless we part ways with Callahan, which I do not want, they may have to get creative and call Norv a consultant or some such non-sense. One clarification: As long as the Giants lose this week, the Cowboy/Redskin winner will win the division. The Giants will not lose to the Eagles in week 17.

If you are not calling plays you are an Offensive Coordinator in name only. He's has some time with the team, the team has had struggles, and they have not turned to him. I don;t have faith that they will so get us someone new

Still a game that they made a HUGE comeback and should have won. The momentum of rolling into Washington on a high note would be nice,especially since Washington won and is riding high on a huge win streak. Had the Cowboys won, that is a 6-1 record over the last 7 I believe. That would really be a big lift for this team. I could see a bad beat down by the Redskins on this team that fought its heart out...only to have the victory snatched away.

Missing those guys in the middle is just painful to watch. Going to spend the entire off season thinking "what might have been?" Garrett has earned my love over the second half of the season. Dez as well. So much promise on this team this year. Really sucks that injuries to our ILB are going to prevent this team from living up to their full potential. Finally hot in December too. So disappointing.

If Baltimore wins today, the loss is moot. It would all come down to the game @ Washington. Go RAVENS!

Still a game that they made a HUGE comeback and should have won. The momentum of rolling into Washington on a high note would be nice,especially since Washington won and is riding high on a huge win streak. Had the Cowboys won, that is a 6-1 record over the last 7 I believe. That would really be a big lift for this team. I could see a bad beat down by the Redskins on this team that fought its heart out...only to have the victory snatched away.

I really disagree here. Sure, it would have been awesome to win that, but, to me, it wasn't a crushing loss. I don't think the team sees it that way either. Freak fumble/recovery at the end. C'est la vie. They know that (this is assuming Baltimore wins today) all that matters is the final game. I think this team will play its heart out and there's no chance it's a blowout, imo. Dallas can win that game and I think they'll be just as fired up, regardless had they won today or not.

This team has found heart, drive, and desire and win or lose, I can get behind that. Horribly deflating loss this week. Romo and Dez played their butts off. One huge mistake by Murray but I felt like they overcame all of the mistakes and had a real chance to win. Still dont understand some of the play calls in overtime. Dez has really become that guy that can take over a game. What a weapon he has become. Hope you are right. I just think the Redskins are on a serious roll and they probably think they can beat anyone. I am excited that the Ravens beat down the Giants so no matter what, the game counts next week with the ultimate of all rivalries taking place for the division.

This year Dallas doesn't seem as talented as in past years, but they seem to play harder and to find ways to win instead of finding ways to lose. That's a big change for them and they earned some respect from me this year.Next weekend in Washington will be an old rivalry getting back to what it used to be --- 2 good battle-tested teams in a sudden death match. One wins the division, the other goes home. I hope the Skins win of course but good luck to you Cowboy fans. I know the Skins are facing a capable opponent. This is going to rock.

It's what being a football fan is all about. It's not perfect on either side, but it doesn't get better then this to watch.I'm going to enjoy it win or lose.
