People have a pretty deep reserve of hope to draw on. There's a lot of potential in stories involving the breakdown of society. I had hoped that this show would see what didn't work with TWD and grow better as the years went on. Instead, they seem to be doubling down on the stupidity. We don't watch these shows to get preached at by Rick Grimes or Kim DIckens. We watch hoping something cool happens.I'd say that is fine, although many of us with lives cannot fathom why someone would watch a show they hate. If you have that much free time, do something more meaningful in your life.
I'm not looking for a show where everyone is super smart almost to the point of clairvoyance, but come on man. If you watch those Doomsday Preppers shows, there are people just waiting for something like this to happen. Would a show where a community of 60 or so people who had their "S" completely together during an apocalyptic situation be interesting? I think so. Especially as they reach outward and begin rebuilding society from the bottom up. Our group of preppers vs. the street gang that took over the Amazon warehouse? Sign me up
