Yeah, I could not care less about this money grab tournament, but i am going to the FC Porto match in NJ with some Portuguese lunatics from Philly i know. 50 bucks well worth it.
Wimbledon didn’t make it, Chief. The Club World Cup continues to have some problems. FIFA have dramatically cut prices again as the opener has only sold 25 so far.
A bigger problem looms as the MLS players (and most importantly for FIFA, Miami included), are currently in a deep fight with the MLS owners about pay for CWC. The owners are doing the "well you signed the CBA" dance which limits MLS players to a pittance of the reward money coming to MLS teams. And the players are saying it was impossible to predict something like this when they signed.
Is there going to be a separate thread for it?![]()
Frank to Spurs a done deal.Prediction markets thinking Frank leaves Brentford for the Spurs job, then maybe McKenna from Ipswich to Brentford.
Doesn't seem to by falling for the Madrid game in Charlotte. Looks like the knockout rounds are getting cheap though. May have to catch some extras.$4 tickets for Saturday's opening match: Inter Miami vs AL-AHLY

Had they placed that game almost anywhere else in the country, it may have sold much better IMO.$4 to see Messi?! Hell yeah.Doesn't seem to by falling for the Madrid game in Charlotte. I did see this. A lot of what I was seeing was on Instagram.
The article just looks like its reporting it. Might be only for a select group (like students), but headlines don't always give you the full story hahaI can't access the article, but if there's a promo where you can get tickets for $4 and then resell them on ticketmaster/stubhub...https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6417719/2025/06/10/fifa-club-world-cup-messi-tickets/Are we sure any of this info is accurate? Seems like they have basically just not released any seats for the knockout round in Charlotte on the side you can't see on TV.The article just looks like its reporting it. Tf is the club World Cup?? These guys just get no time off now?
Reading more about it seems like the big clubs are sending or playing their backups? If they get further into it is it expected they’ll play their starters? This is wild.Tf is the club World Cup?? These guys just get no time off now?
Just totally silly nonsense that nobody cares about so that a bunch of people who don't need any more money can make a little more money

United ranked as the hardest opening fixture list.Given the Premier League never schedules a game between two big clubs on the opening weekend, feeding Man Utd to Arsenal is one way of saying you're ****
Wow. Three of last season's top 4 to start the campaign. The EPL certainly isn't doing ManU any favors. Fans might check out by September....United ranked as the hardest opening fixture list.Given the Premier League never schedules a game between two big clubs on the opening weekend, feeding Man Utd to Arsenal is one way of saying you're ****

So the Krafts are trying to secure a site in Boston for the Revolution and/or Patriots? Is that how to understand that?Boston politics and soccer have never been intertwined before but suddenly they are all over the news here.
Here is a very rough, albeit interesting sketch.
* Mayor Wu is the incumbent. She has strongly backed using tax money to do a massive refurbishment of old White Stadium, to be used when done for the Boston Legacy NWSL team.
* Mayor Wu's direct opponent in the race is making a ton of waves about how much corruption and over spending there is on the stadium that is wasting tax dollars
* The opponents name, and this is where it gets fun, is Josh Kraft. Yup, one of Bob's son
* And Wu's team is firing back saying Josh is doing nothing but adding to conflict of interest because Bob is actively trying to secure a location to build in Boston and Wu is seen as the last person standing against him, saying she wants Boston to get more out of the stadium deal before she will support it.
* It is worth noting that the Kraft stadium is expected to be private money funded.
How this all plays out in terms of the election may go a LONG way in finally seeing a stadium in Boston for the Revs.
The stadium is intended to be just for the Revs. The stadium site they are negotiating for (an old shuttered power plant) won't support an NFL sized stadium. They are looking to build a 25k stadium in Everett, which is considered part of the greater Boston area, which is why the mayor is involved. So the Krafts are trying to secure a site in Boston for the Revolution and/or Patriots? As a ManU fan for you, that would be a wonderful trip. Two tough oppenents, but games you should win. That'd be a blast.Brentford and Sunderland between the Chelsea and Liverpool matches.... Still would love to leave LA on Christmas and come back on New Year's Eve and try and catch Newcastle (12/27) and Wolves (12/30) at Old Trafford.
