Yeah, I could not care less about this money grab tournament, but i am going to the FC Porto match in NJ with some Portuguese lunatics from Philly i know. 50 bucks well worth it.
Wimbledon didn’t make it, Chief. The Club World Cup continues to have some problems. FIFA have dramatically cut prices again as the opener has only sold 25 so far.
A bigger problem looms as the MLS players (and most importantly for FIFA, Miami included), are currently in a deep fight with the MLS owners about pay for CWC. The owners are doing the "well you signed the CBA" dance which limits MLS players to a pittance of the reward money coming to MLS teams. And the players are saying it was impossible to predict something like this when they signed.
Is there going to be a separate thread for it?![]()
Frank to Spurs a done deal.Prediction markets thinking Frank leaves Brentford for the Spurs job, then maybe McKenna from Ipswich to Brentford.
Doesn't seem to by falling for the Madrid game in Charlotte. Looks like the knockout rounds are getting cheap though. May have to catch some extras.$4 tickets for Saturday's opening match: Inter Miami vs AL-AHLY

That is part of the problem though. They mistakenly, IMO, placed the Inter Miami game in Miami where likely any causal who wanted to see Messi and friends, has already seen them play. Had they placed that game almost anywhere else in the country, it may have sold much better IMO.$4 to see Messi?! Hell yeah.Doesn't seem to by falling for the Madrid game in Charlotte. I did see this. A lot of what I was seeing was on Instagram.
The article just looks like its reporting it. Might be only for a select group (like students), but headlines don't always give you the full story hahaI can't access the article, but if there's a promo where you can get tickets for $4 and then resell them on ticketmaster/stubhub...https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6417719/2025/06/10/fifa-club-world-cup-messi-tickets/Are we sure any of this info is accurate? Tf is the club World Cup?? These guys just get no time off now?
Reading more about it seems like the big clubs are sending or playing their backups? If they get further into it is it expected they’ll play their starters? This is wild.Tf is the club World Cup?? These guys just get no time off now?
Just totally silly nonsense that nobody cares about so that a bunch of people who don't need any more money can make a little more money
