***Official Survivor S29: San Juan Del Sur*** (1 Viewer)

What Jeff usually says is "X wins immunity and is safe at the next tribal council". Not saying those are the actual rules but it implies that the winner gets to use the immunity necklace at a tribal council.

I will have to go back and watch what Jeff said when Keith won.
I think when he called them all over to the log, it acted as an impromptu tribal council.

Could be. This could possibly be the first time someone quit post immunity challenge. It will be interesting to see if it gets addressed at all next episode.

I'm rooting for Jeremy but it really seems like Josh is going to the finals and likely win the season.

do quitters get to stay at Ponderosa? it would be lame if she gets to quit, and then just hang out with Rocker sipping mai tais like they're on vacation.

Rooting for Jeremy.

Love how he tried to play it off like he's going to suck at immunity challenges.

Who me?

I don't think either of them get to go to Ponderosa. I thought Ponderosa was for Jury members only. Early boots are just sent home IIRC.
I think BvW may be different. Rocker mentioned in his interview that he spent a lot of time with the twin. Perhaps as long as the other half is there they don't send them away as it would be a tipoff.

I was under the impression that they still keep all of the cast members the full duration, but it isn't quite like the Ponderosa setup. More like a hotel they put them up in.

Yup, here's a bit more from one of the Survivor wikis:

Immediately after being voted out, the eliminated players are whisked away from Tribal Council and are given finger foods to eat, while being interrogated by the in-game psychiatrist for debriefing as the contestant headed to the sequester house. Upon reaching the house, the player in question will undergo medical examinations and a weigh-in (to compare his/her pre-game weight and all the weight he/she lost during the game). The eliminated castaway is then allowed to socialize with the other eliminated cast members. From there on out, the eliminated player can enjoy the luxuries that are uncommon to the game of Survivor, such as eating all the food he/she can eat and sleeping on a soft bed.

The castaways that are eliminated prior to the merge are sequestered in an undisclosed location that was beyond the reach of the game, either a faraway hotel that was still within the territory where the season was being filmed, or a location outside the host country. If the castaways were to be on vacation trips, their expenses were all covered by production. While being sequestered, the evictees were still forbidden to have access to television, internet, and telephones; however, they were given a VCR and a DVD player to help alleviate boredom. Those who did not make the jury phase would be sequestered in a separate location to lessen the possibility of spoilers to circulate before the season starts.[1]

The contestants headed home in batches; the first group contained the pre-merge or pre-jury eliminees, while the second group consisted of the Jury and the finalists.

Feel bad for Keith. Meaningless immunity challenge win for him.
I'm wondering if it will carryover. Maybe have a second challenge and two people are safe.Doesn't winning immunity mean you are safe from the next vote? The next vote hasn't happened yet, so he should still be immune IMO.
Totally agree. He's being robbed if he loses out on that immunity from a vote. Any other spin on it is a load of BS.

My 9yo son yelled, "RACISM," at the screen when someone wanted to vote off Jeremy.

That's exactly why she wanted to go right now. From here on is likely the jury, which is seperate from the earlier vote outs. So this was her last chance to be reunited with John.

How difficult was it for Jeff to not look at Julie's boobs when she mentioned her boobs?
What'd she say I fast forwarded the whole conversation?
She was talking about how people treat her differently and one of the things listed was "my boobs." I could just hear Jeff's brain "DON'T LOOK! DON'T LOOK!"
Even though the camera wasn't even showing her boobs when she made that comment, I STILL looked.

He is safe from being the next one to go. That person was Julie. He isn't being robbed of anything.

I disagree, but I understand where you're coming from. Makes me hate quitters even more; there's just too much of a ripple effect.

Reed failed in his campaign. He should have pulled a Johnnie Fairplay move (which I think is the best move in this game ever):

This is what Reed should have said: "We don't know which way the two are voting. They could be voting Josh or Baylor. So, here is my pitch. To you four (Jeremy, Baylor, Missy, Natalie), lets all vote for Jaclyn right now. We will vote her out and we can battle tomorrow as a group of 5 and 4 and one wild card. We break up that pair which means he might go with you guys to make 5-on-5. But, no stress tonight, vote out Jaclyn and lets go back to camp.

He says something like that, it might have saved Josh and broken up another pair of power.

Man, Josh has to be pissed at Julie. She completely screwed up his game. Though I will say if he wasn't constantly at Jaclyn's side while Jon was away that was a major mistake.

That was a good TC for us.. No matter who was voted out we'd have been happy..

I think the constant worry about Jeremy is short-sighted and voting out Josh was the right move..

You can turn on your new Alliance at any point once Jeremy loses a IC and in fact you may not have to turn on them at all as they also see him as a threat to winning....

Don't look at the big picture too soon or it will bite you in the back side.

How is a couple with a cop for a mom and fire fighter for a dad considered struggling to get by? Was that just made up?

That would have been an awesome plan..

But the Fairplay move I thought you were going to cite was the one about his dead grandmother.

Yeah, I am wondering how long Jon/Jaclin and play the middle. They should take out another one of Reed's tribe this week, and then see where things lie the following week to see if they want to stick with voting out that tribe.

Frankly, I think their best bet is to make a final four alliance with Missy/Baylor. They can probably beat both of them in challenges and neither of them is popular. Vote out drew this week, and flip and vote out Jeremy the following week.

That leaves Jon/Jaclin/Missy/Baylor as an alliance with Natalie/Reed/Wesley/Keith left. I doubt those four would get together and vote as a block, especially if no one knows that Jaclin/Jon are allied with Missy/Baylor. Once they get

one of those four out they are home free. Also, Jon has an immunity idol if they run into trouble.

Any pair in a final four alliance with another pair has to realize the other pair has a final three alliance with a single. Makes no sense to go down a path leading to a 2-2 tie.

No one wants to face Jeremy, so that makes Natalie very popular. If her majority alliance holds up, she should be in the final 3 with either Jon/Jacyln or Missy/Baylor.

:goodposting: Since her sister and Rocker got the boot she has been playing in the background.. Very sneaky Final 3 play on her part and very well could get her there.

I have watched every season os Survivor so far. There has always been one player that I at least had some slight preference and rooted for. This may be the first season where I dislike ALL the players. I dislike Natalie and Reed more than the others but what a sad season. The fact that none are likable coupled with the fact that they are perhaps the most incompetent (rice, flint quitting) players who are not even playing any sort of game is really bad. You can root for a jerk if he is playing a great game but there is NOTHING to root for, nothing exciting.

Terrible. I guess this is what it is like to be not the target audience.

Pretty sad that John Rocker was the most interesting thing this season and even that was horrible.

I guess Keith is the only guy who has done any thing resembling strategy, by being the first guy to not immediately tell everyone he has a idol after he finds it. But the previews pretty much spoil that the dumb ### mafia thinks strategy is going through everyones stuff.

Very disappointed.

Idol should be either on the finder(hidden somewhere i.e. pants) at all times or buried somewhere. No way I leave it in my bag.

How can you not root for Jeremy

The Guy has been on the chopping block for a while now and, yea sure he got saved by Rocker's woman quitting.. but he is trying to use strategy with the "singles" along with Baylor and her mom to get them on his side..

Would be great to see him help eliminate the other alliance and then win out to the final 3.

Eh, I guess. He is kind of a jerk. I didn't like his wife and I don't care for his whole It's me versus Josh running this game mentality. He is pretty much a dumb ###. Reacting and being alliance guy is boring as hell.

I like Keith the best because he is a actual cartoon cliche hillbilly. But I think last nights tribal summed it up beautifully a bunch of farting dip ####s versus a bunch of whiny #####es.

Because he's a complainer. He's always angry and complaining. These are the people on Survivor I dislike the most.

And this season is complainer city.

Jackie "They won't talk to me"

Missy " They are farting AND burping"

Baylor " I am not a slave"

Reed " I don't have a #### to suck anymore, give me more rice"

Jeremy " My wife , my wife racists!"

Natalie " I never been apart from my sister waaaaaaaahhhh"

Keith " Baylor is lazy and won't do anything"

Wes " OoOohhh I ate too many tacos"

and that is just whats left, the loser complainers oh my god Julie, Josh Jeremys wife.

I guess that makes Jon the only non b itch, he has nothing to complain about because he will probably win and even if he doesn't he still gets to bang Jackie.

I don't think you should be allowed to go through people's bags, but maybe that is me.

If that is the case, i would take everyone's underwear and burn them. Make them be stuck with the same pair for a month and see how that works.

Destroying personal property is against the rules. Snooping is not... but doesn't seem ethical.

Didn't Russell once burn some dudes shoes or something?

Edit - Found it. He burned someone's socks:

In Survivor: Samoa, Russell Hantz infamously burned a pair of socks (which is technically clothing) of another contestant. Whether he was penalized or not is currently unknown.

Yeah, and then someone burned Russell's hat, right?
