we will find out what the A meant, and what the new group is all about.
I thought we already knew? Wasn't that just the path marker, i.e. the way they diverted them to get them to the back where they had everyone in position at the fence. I think it was all about herding them to the rail car, which is why they didn't shoot them, just made them go along the A path. I don't recall the analogy, but they discussed herding something else as a prelude to that scene.
yeah, that's right. I mean, the further implications of the A, not just the mousetrap, like the entire scheme behind this group
Gotcha, yeah definitely be interesting to learn about them. I thought you may not have seen what I mentioned and the A on the freight car as packersfan mentioned.
That group is extremely well managed/organized. As soon as they saw Rick et al (before or after the entered, not sure), they went into full plan mode and had everything setup to drive them to the freight car depending upon their reaction to the previous group's stuff (Glen and Herschel's watch, the prison riot gear and Maggie's shawl). It would be interesting to know if Rick hadn't reacted like that if they would have been more welcoming. IMHO, it was a test since that one guy that got shot tried to say he had it under control. The head guy (can't recall the name) told him he didn't, shot him and set them down the A train path.
the leader of the new group seemed like some type of former intelligence officer. I noticed he only said the minimum necessary to retain control of the situation with ricks group and defuse everything, which to me seems like your prototypical special forces/spook type personality.
Absolutely agree. Pretty sure I posted the same thoughts back in this thread during that episode. They were far too organized and had that psy ops knowledge to put the things that they might notice in plain sight. My thought was that they did that in order to test this group. Once they get one set of visitors, they assume that the next set could be there to save the first set or find out what happened to them. If they don't notice/react then they might change to a new visitor test versus a second group test.
That and the fact that they appeared to be extremely well armed and well timed/accurate. They were able to herd them through very precisely just with well timed and accurate shots. If they aren't some sort of special forces/military/CIA/FBI agents, I would be a bit disappointed. Oh, and by FBI, I am talking about normal well trained FBI, not
Kevin Bacon FBI.
