^ I agree that the 'flee-find safety-relax-fight-flee' plot line is very tired (farm, Woodbury, prison, terminus). Just hope they can think of something better. There's still no overarching narrative though.
I thought this was Rick?
Or the trip to DC or heck maybe the overarching narrative is living in a world full of zombies and trying to survive against the walkers and people out to do you harm? Nah, can't be that.

I said awhile ago that on a show like this sometimes you just need to see some stuff that's really cool. Blowing up a bunch of walkers was really cool. A burning walker gnawing off a guy's face was really cool.

F the logic behind it or even if there is any. I'll take the cool.

This was a great episode. I honestly can't imagine anyone who's a fan of this show who wouldn't like it.
:goodposting: It had everything you'd want from the Walking dead.. Lot's of Zombie kills, lot's of revenge kills and a reunion to get everyone back together to head back out on the road..
The only thing missing was the required shower scene between Maggie, Tara and Rosita where washing turns to giggling, giggling turns to touching and touching turns to ...

I'm assuming they're holding off on that until the mid-season finale.

Also hilarious. All of the Termites or whatever have to account for every shot they fire. In the scene just before Rick takes away someone's gun and then starts mowing people down there is a guy shooting his AK(?) pretty much into the ground 10 feet in front of him.
I'm guessing they don't have to count their shots as their home is burning and blowing up. They probably get a pass in that situation.
Pretty sure that the idea behind "shot discipline" still applies. More than anything it was hilarious because the actor/extra was just blasting away at the pavement.
Again, I doubt when you're under siege it applies. "Johnny! Why aren't you firing anymore at the advancing horde?!" "Oh. I've hit my shot limit."
Again, for a group of people that have been trained/ordered to not waste ammo one guy had no idea how to aim a gun.
Who cares? An extra wasn't precise with firing at an area on the set of a studio is what keeps you up and night? Do you sit and watch shows like this with a protractor and write down notes so you can post in this thread every Monday?

Was the mentioned yet.. who the body on the table was in that butchering room with the trough? I missed it, co-worker told me it was Garreth's brother? Was supposed to emphasis the lack of emotion, that 'institutionalized evil" they touched on in the first couple minutes of Talking Dead (I missed TD so maybe that's where this was mentioned?).

It was Alex, the guy who took the group outside to Mary in the Season 4 finale, and was killed after Rick saw he had Herschel/Glenn's watch. When they showed him up close twice on the table last night I knew it had to be someone we knew but I couldn't place him either. They confirmed who it was on The Talking Dead.

I thought it was the guy that the Termites shot while Rick was holding him hostage in last season's finale. If that was Gareth's brother, then I agree with your coworker.

The watch that Carol found was the watch that Rick gave to that hippy kid in the episode with Carol last year, right? The same hippy kid who met his demise last night at the trough.

Had to be. She definitely recognized it. Plus it all fits together with Hippie Sam being there.

Writer 1: Guys, guys...I've got a great idea for a shot in the 'taking of Terminus' sequence.

Other writers: Let's hear it.

Writer: A Walker falls on one of the Terminus redshirts. We show a close-up of the Walker gnawing at the redshirt's face. He's still alive. Blood is pouring out as he screams in agony.

Other writers: Eh...yeah...I mean it's good but haven't we already done that?

Writer: Wait...I wasn't finished. The Walker is also....on fire!

Other writers: Oooooooooo! Oh snap! Awesome! Crazy!
Related question: How did you score a cable package that only gives you AMC?
I don't get it.

On The Talking Dead Gimple said Gareth and Alex were brothers and Mary was their mother.

Not surprising.

:lmao:

Things like the bottle rocket shooting 100 yards straight on target to the propane tank make me think of this on account of levels of gravitivity and polarity.

And again- I still enjoy the show, in spite of these kind of implausible moments.

I don't get that either.

Did I imagine it or did someone here mention there may be a spinoff of TWD at some point?
Yeah it's coming. Not sure when though.
Can they turn this into CSI? So we can have a TWD Atlanta, a TWD New York, a TWD Washington.....
which makes me think if I were Rick and the group, I'd probably just get a tour bus and head west towards Colorado or Montana. Plenty of natural resources, low population density. but then the story would be pretty boring for a tv show

I didn't think Dr. Kenny Powers' explanation of his fix was very credible. But then again, he didn't have to fool rocket surgeons now did he.

Carol grabbed Darryl's cross bow... but did Michonne get her sword back? I know she was swinging around the double bladed broomstick when they were escaping.

It really wasn't. The gist seemed to be that he was super smart and had experience developing micro-orgnanisms and needed to get to the lab to basically get started on creating a cure. I don't think he actually knows a cure.

Awesome episode.

The trough scene was brutal.
I was sitting there during this scene thinking to myself "oh, come on!" So the blond guy gets hit over the head and his throat gets slit. Damn!!! The two executioners then just move on to the next guy who doesn't struggle at all? Really?! You think they aren't going to do the same to you? What about the 3rd guy, just staying there kneeling accepting his fate? Glenn, too, after the first 4? Rick's got a weapon and he's going to allow Glenn and Daryl to get whacked before attempting to use it? I get that it's a show, but to just have them all sit there like sheep (or pigs) and let these two schmucks kill them all......

Also, what happens to someone if they get "eaten" but their brain isn't touched? Do they "turn"? Like Mary. If the walkers don't eat her brain, can her remains turn?

And the dude with the cure - total BS. He said "if I go all red-ring" (reference to xbox360's), the guy is nothing more than a 40 year old gamer living in his mom's basement.
have you watched any of the ISIS beheadings? those victims just kneel calmly and dont struggle at all when the guy grabs them and starts sawing the at the neck...while i dont understand why they dont struggle thats real life so im not sure what to think

That sounds great until you consider that all the gas is bad....
