QB Jordan Love, GB (6 Viewers)

Even if Love escaped a major injury and maybe misses a game or two, have to be concerned how much his mobility is going to be hampered going forward.
I've never concerned myself with his rushing, because that's not his thing, but I agree about pocket mobility. Not something that worries me either if he's on the field playing. Peyton Manning was a statue.
True - he’s not Hurts or Richardson in terms of designed runs, but has decent mobility to create yards when nothing is there, and as you say, pocket mobility is important.

Some winnable games coming up:

2. Sep 15, 2024 vs Indianapolis
3 Sep 22, 2024 @ Tennessee
4 Sep 29, 2024 vs Minn
5 Oct 6, 2024 @ L.A. Rams
6 Oct 13, 2024 vs Arizona
7 Oct 20, 2024 vs Houston
8 Oct 27, 2024 @ Jacksonville
9 Nov 3, 2024 vs Detroit
10 — BYE
With a limited offense without Love I don't see any of those as winnable

He seldom runs, so if he isn't hurting, then I'm not hurting.

torn mcl is what it looks like to me
Ribs = Browning

it’s been reported that his ACL is not torn.
Right...I was commenting on Love. Great that his ACL may not be torn. I think its a joke when reporters are tweeting stuff before the guy has actually met with orthos. The two hands, wiggle from side to side guy on the GB staff who looks like he downed about 4 pizzas and 3 pitchers before the game isn't who I am relying on.

Bummer for Reed, he is looking like a major sleeper hit

In my short league he was not started week one, (by me) but I almost put him in for Chase.

We all saw the MCL look like it popped. Hopefully youg MCL's can streeeeeetch like that a bit and not fully tear.
I've had fully torn ligaments in my ankle. There is pretty much zero walking on that for weeks so his after injury mobilty is encouraging.

GBs team doctor is Dr Pat McKenzie…pretty highly respected.

A complete tear isn't needed and he wouldn't walk off with a complete MCL.
from the docs on Twitter, he could have walked off with a partial or complete tear of the MCL, ACL, or any other.

The knee only buckles under stress - normal walking in a straight line doesn’t cause it.

Fingers crossed it’s a short-term injury.
Tendon tears and ruptures, he would not be walking. Ligament tears can be walked on, as you stated. The hope is an MCL sprain. I have seen somewhere that there was no ankle sprain. I'm unsure how this was confirmed, but I saw that reported somewhere.

The problem with those videos is it's kinda hard to come to any real conclusions. That's also after a long flight. If you watched a video of me getting out of bed and walking to get coffee in the morning, you would come to a whole bunch of conclusions that aren't accurate. Ha ha. I just need to warm up a bit.

Multiple reports are coming out. The ACL is intact, and there is no ankle injury. An MRI will be performed upon landing from the flight back. Again, I'm unsure how you can confirm without an MRI, but this is what multiple sources report. I know they can sometimes tell on the field of an ACL tear with confirmation from an MRI. I'm guessing none of the visual indicators were present, which is where these reports come from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYKDHPRv8pk

I invested heavily in Love, and GB. Big money league, waited on QB and went Love/Daniels/Caleb. I liked it on draft day.....now, not so much.

Another $$$ league I have Love, Watson, and the GB offense.......we basically get what the O scores. The O's on the ww are teams like Panthers, raiders, saints.

It just sucks to have your FF season start out like this. Gonna have to scramble

That said, I mostly feel bad for Love. Seems like a really good kid. I hope he can come back from this and be successful.

They know with an extreme high amount of accuracy immediately if someone has an ACL tear. MRI is basically just confirmation of the obvious or to check for other damage. It's extremely rare for an ACL to not be diagnosed while the player is still on the field.

We all have our injury people we rely on. I use Dr Chao. He thinks it’s most likely a patella sublaxation, severity of which depends if he had any ligament damage

Is this where the tendon moves but does not tear? Or is the tendon stretched?

I don’t think non MRI test can tell if maybe it’s a partial tear? I fully tore my ACL and Meniscus and was able to walk on it limping the whole time

A patella sublaxation without any additional injuries would be a 4-6 week recovery time.

An average MCL sprain is 6-8 weeks. A minor one is typically 3-4. A particularly bad one can be as much as 12. Given how risk averse GB is, I'd be planning for 6 or so.

Still, could have been a lot worse.

Your numbers aren’t quite in alignment with this doc:

Recovery Timelines

Grade 1 strain: 1-2 wks
Grade 2 strain: 2-4 wks
Grade 3 strain: 4-8 wks

Expect out ~4 wks & limited mobility ~6
