A lot of these updates tell me that Stevenson is going to be toting the rock a lot more than Henderson shareholders are expecting.
I doubt they’re going to go empty backfield while they line up Hendo all over the formation.
I think Henderson fans, myself included, believe it doesn't matter. Similar explosiveness to Gibbs or Achane... Henderson will get his with 10 to 15 ops a game... anything else is just a bonus.
Yeah I have almost the exact same thought about him. I do expect him to average around four-five targets a game, which for ppr is a stat I'm much more interested in.
Especially if hes running wheel routes... one of those ops is a go route from the backfield? Yeah, I'll take that.
5 catches for 80 yards and a TD is good enough for the girls I hang out with.
Different time and he wasn’t a rookie, but James White had 123 targets in 2018 playing in McDaniels offense. Crazy
Hard to imagine what Henderson would do with that many targets. Like I said, 10 ops a game and I think Henderson returns beyond his ADP.
I’m having fun imagining it anyway. White was an excellent receiver but didn’t have the big play ability Henderson has. If (and it’s a big if) he did get that many opportunities, 85 catch range with 1000 yards receiving would be ballpark. Crazy but it honestly wouldn’t shock me with the way they are using him. I only have one share so far (dynasty) but I expect to have at least one more in my 2 redraft leagues. Hopefully 2 more.
sprinkle in 7 or 8 TDs? He is definitely worth a target redraft at current ADP. According to FantasyPros - currently RB24 but I would take him over guys like Chuba Hubbard (2 rounds ahead of Henderson) because I think they'll have similar splits (gotta assume they want to involve Brooks based on draft capital). Chuba is much less explosive and the impact of less carries is greater.
I think they'll always run Monty. Gibbs is only get 10 snaps/game more than him. Difficult to see why he would see regression, considering what they're doing has been working.
where do you get that 10 snaps number from? Just a guess?
Football guys has snap splits from last year (that was the source). I realized after you called me on that the number was 14. My Bad. It was a 60/40 split most weeks but Montgomery did outsnap Gibbs 4 times.
Montgomery was also out for a few weeks. If we continue talking about the Lions backfield, we should probably continue it by you tagging me in the Gibbs or Montgomery thread.
