Chestnut has looked solid.

I traded for him in dynasty a few days before he got hurtMy bad everyone. I drafted him in a start-up. He was doing great before that. Won’t happen again.

I think you're right..Man, really need them to put him on short-term IR so I can participate in the FA draft tomorrow night. Don’t they have til tomorrow afternoon to designate?
Now I just need MFL to hurry up and change his designation and free me up a roster spot. Yahoo already has.AdamSchefter

I’m aware. But my FA Draft is this evening, and as of now I won’t be able to participate. MFL is typically slower than other sites at updating player designations. As I pointed out above, he’s already IR eligible on Yahoo. It's been an hour. Now I just need MFL to hurry up and change his designation and free me up a roster spot. Yahoo already has.AdamSchefter

I believe they have to wait until after 4 PM today and the 53 rosters are accounted for then they can place him on IR so he can return.Man, really need them to put him on short-term IR so I can participate in the FA draft tomorrow night. Don’t they have til tomorrow afternoon to designate?
Radio hosts went from Damien Martinez would be interesting to talking like he's on the team replacing Spears.

He's been working on the side with trainers for a couple weeks but not at every practice. One here n there.Any news here? I can't find much on him, one report I did see from some fly by night outfit said longer than Week 5?
I like Spears and own him in my dynasty league. He is only 24 and is under contract through 2026. Pollard has an out after this season in his contract. I think as a total talent he is better than Pollard, but I might be in the minority there. I certainly like him more than Giddens.Looking for dynasty opinions on Spears. Does he have a legit chance at becoming something more than he's shown, or is this it? I assume he's coming of IR soon and have to make a decision on him. His age is a consideration. In dynasty I'm thinking someone like DJ Giddens at 22 behind an aging workhorse might be a better bet than a 24 year old who has some flashes but can't seem to warrant more touches. Maybe DJ isn't the answer for the Colts, but I'm also not really sure if Tyjae even has the skills to be an NFL starter either.

I wouldn't trade him right now. His value is probably a late second to early third rookie pick? I would gamble on him coming back and giving you a good game or two and then trading him or even in off season. Think of Zamir White last year after Jacobs left. In June or July of 2024 you could have gotten a nice pick or two from a contender for White if you didn't believe in him.Looking for dynasty opinions on Spears. Recently on the radio they discussed his games active total and games missed. I forget the numbers but it's reasonable context if you wanna hit PFR.
All good posts with different POV but at least what I read is a desire to see this guy succeed and the injuries have been frustrating.I wouldn't trade him right now. I believe he comes off IR next week and they get a roster exemption (if they want) to sort of test him out and see.I like Spears and own him in my dynasty league. Henry was still there his rookie year and Spears was active all 17 games, 50+ catches, almost 840 total yds and 3 TDs, Henry leaves for the Ravens and everyone assumes more on the way
Then Pollard comes to town and even with injuries to Spears and even though Pollard was coming in after a disappointing run in Dallas, he's given the starting job
The Titans can say they want to give Spears a larger load but even when he's available they are not committing to him so to this point he looks more like a CoP RB even if that's not actually true
Here is where I was going with all of this, look around at other rookies and how many of them right now look like they will hit what Spears did his rookie season with Derrick Henry still around?
He has 82 catches over 29 active games, some of them likely used more than others but he's going to touch the ball when he comes back, he just doesn't seem to get a lot of carries or ever get a rhythm going with repeated touches or carries.
Not sure how I would feel in dynasty but from a redraft POV, and with the Titans already 0-3, it's possible we see a much different split in the coming weeks when Spears returns
I don't think we will ever see him as a feature RB in Tennessee, not at this particular moment, things can change
Pollard isn't bulletproof, surprised he's been this durable since coming to the Titans
Buy low if he's on a roster in your redraft league, might be the time to pounce before he actually takes the field
Is he on track to be ready by Week 5? He can't play this weekend I thought due to being on injured reserve
I have him on IR, but will likely shift Benson there. Holding both AZ back-ups and will likely drop Spears for Dowdle. That looks like an opportunity that might be immediateI'd like to sneak him onto a roster for basically free while he's off the radar for most but with the current injury landscape (and byes) I don't think I can.
He is presumed to be playing this week.
He also looks like he's been hitting the weights and in addition to the last couple days ...good vibes from the kid.
The questioner is Wyatt the team's reporter
It genuinely seems we're just waiting for the official word and every box is checked except one
He asks Tyjae if he's looking forward to playing Sunday; yet technically they haven't said he's playing and he's still in the 21 day return windowHe is presumed to be playing this week.

Brian Callahan on RB Tyjae Spears today:
“But he's worked really well last couple weeks leading up to it and he had a good week of practice, so I'm excited to see what he can bring.”
In case you’re wondering if he’ll play this weekend.
So Pollard with full control of the backfield wasn’t a good start. Now they are splitting touches?Schefter tweeted that he has been activated.
There's that last step we were waiting for

Pollard has some speed n scat back to his game himself. He seems to just be fresher and average more when Spears is around
Hope so. Pollard has been a dud so far. But that could be Tenn coaching slamming him into the middle of the line almost every play. He's never really had an effect on Pollard. So Pollard with full control of the backfield wasn’t a good start. Pollard does seem to play better when he shares the load. I think that goes all the way back to his days in Dallas too.
