RB Tyrone Tracy Jr., NYG (6 Viewers)

Trending towards a drop in redraft IMO. Not a great offense and now Skat looks like the guy there.

Maybe you give him one more week back from the injury to see if his involvement rises at all, but he's looking like a handcuff now.

From a dynasty standpoint, I still think he's good enough to be useful to many NFL teams.

I just don't think he is a drop. The Giants will need him and Cam looks like he could already be checked for CTE.
While he is fun to watch, I don't see how it keeps up. When the Giants play from behind, I think Tracy will see more opportunities.
I admit I was wrong on this situation as well, but I still think Tracy has value.

I was thinking about dropping Blue to make room for a player coming off of IR, but with Sanders out for the season, I need to consider dropping Tracy instead.

Dropping him for either Blue or Aaron Jones next week
Tracy's decision making is awful. You could see Daboll getting extremely annoyed by him not punching one up the gut and gaining 4, and instead cutting off tackle and losing 1 last night. If Skattebo went down, I think Tracy would be a in a RBBC with Singletary. I think Tracy had his window and blew it.

I think Tracy and Blue are probably of similar value. I'd much rather have Aaron Jones, who at least has the pass down job on lockdown.

I’d personally put Jones a tier above them all but would rather have Tracy than Blue.

Feel like he has both potential stand alone value, weak, like an RB4, but maybe you need that some weeks. But main thing is I also think his odds of getting the staring job back due to injury is a lot higher.

I just don't know if I really want to be investing in shares of this offense now that Skat is gone, Nabers is gone... I get that guys who get playing time have value, but, it's gonna be a rough go for the Gmen for a while it seems.

The lead back on every team is worth rostering, if they are getting lead back treatment. I don't care how bad the team is. If you are getting about 15 touches per game, you are, at worst a RB4. Look at Pollard this year. He's averaging less than 4 yards per carry, with only 2 rushing TD's, and has 18 catches for no TD's. He has 127 touches and is currently RB21 in PPR. And even if you go by points per game, he only drops to RB29, which is a mid-level RB3. If Tracy gets 15 touches, he will be startable in a flex spot (maybe flex2, but still startable).

Bumping for more takes on how we expect Tracy to produce going forward?

Are we looking at an RB2? An RB3? Realistically?
Low end RB2 IMO.

Keeping in mind the bar is not that high. If we remove stuff some stuff like Rb's on the same team whose usage flip flopped over injuries, like Chubba/Rico, you see that RB24 in PPR is hitting close to the 12 PPG PPR mark.

Last year he did not really ascend to the primary role until week 5 and for the ROS was just a hair under 14 PPG and that seems more then a reasonable range.

With all respect to Cam, who I am a big fan of, there are very few lead RBs who are so good that the gap between them and a clear handcuff is so large that there wouldn't be high interest in the handcuff after an injury, and I don't think Cam is anywhere near that level of lead RB.

He's super fun to root for, but he's eclipsed 4ypc in 3 out of 8 games this year. His fantasy value was largely volume based, so if someone else is likely to get that volume instead I would expect a pretty decent return.

Heck, Tracy's first 6 games as the NYG starter last year were better than Cam's this year except in TDs, which are kinda flukey. I think he can put up reasonably similar fantasy numbers.

Tracy was RB14 from weeks 5-18 last year, and that was with a 73/27 split with Singletary. What will the split be for the second half of 2025?

I'm a Tracy believer, I think he's got a lot of skills that are valuable both for real football and fantasy football- if he's healthy and the team doesn't regress, I could see mid-range RB2 production with upside. Probably around Chase Brown-tier.

I had Tracy last year, and have held on until now.

Cam's injury sucks. For him, and the visceral reaction of the team was jarring. Cam is a beloved player for good reason. I'm not sure the Giants recover from this.

I don't even want to bring it up in these circumstances, but Tracy is a great talent. He was great last year when he won a shot.

Tracy is now in the position, once again, with being asked to produce when NYG fans are disappointed to see him. He took over, mid-season, last year as the Giants' best answer post-Saquon. Giants fans didn't want him. They were watching Saquon power a Super Bowl team.

Now? they really don't want him. His presence is a reminder that they lost Cam. Cam is so beloved and awesome.

This kid is just trying to make a career for himself. And he's really damn talented. It just seems to be that every time he shows up, it's to the disappointment of the fans.

Anyway, I'm rooting for the kid.

The upcoming schedule weeks 11 (Packers), 12 (Lions), and 13 (Patriots) looks rough for Tracy. The next game against the 49'ers isn't great either. Week 10 against the Bears is a good matchup for him however. For the playoff weeks the schedule is just ok. Week 15 (Commanders), Week 16 (Vikings), Week 17 (Raiders).

Esp. with all the RB injuries it's hard not to make the case for Tracy here like others have said. He'll definitely be the lead back, get a significant amount of touches, and showed last season and some of this season he can produce well enough even in the bad situation. I'd expect even if you don't want to pick him up and start him, someone else in your leagues will. He was still rostered in all but one of my leagues pre-Skatt injury.

Hello darkness, my old friend
-I liked Tracy before Skatttebo was drafted and got hyped
Tracy comes along at the right time if he's healthy, he will easily gather up 15+ touches a game, he can catch, Dart will enjoy using him
Tracy is an incredible RB to suddenly pop into your roster if you happen to have held on to him

Packers, Lions and Pats?
Dart changes the expectations for me
I don't view the Giants as a 2-6 team, I view them as a team that has a very lively QB that is finding his way
Almost all skill players around him are going to produce more than they were in the past
Maybe the Giants lose 35-21 but somebody has some players have to score those 3 TDs the offense is gonna produce
I'm a little more optimistic or am I missing something else?

Assuming Tracy doesn't end up in the doghouse again for fumbling, those 3 matchups in weeks 11, 12, and 13 look like tough run defenses to me. Plus, I can see the Giants getting blown out a lot coming up and Tracy may get scripted out of a lot of games anyway.

As long as he isn't awful in pass pro, and we dont know singletary is markedly better, they're similar profile backs, he should maintain a floor with receptions even in bad game scripts

So long as the giants don't add a gus edwards type to vulture the goal line

Tracy may end up as a mid RB2, or low RB2, so there is that. I just don't see him being all that viable in weeks 11 thru 13 and just mediocre in the playoff weeks, with maybe the exception in week 17 against the Raiders.

230 touches, 1,130 total yds, 6 TDs last season and he wasn't the starter right away as a rookie RB
Obviously he is not a "Star RB" and the giants wanted to make their RB room a lot stronger with Skat
But here we are and considering it's Week 9 and people are looking for a lift, I would consider trading for him if you are in the middle of the pack and trying to get into the Playoffs
He certainly works as a Flex option most weeks.

Scripted out? 38 catches as a rookie, much better QB with him in the back field, a full week of 1st team reps in practice, I'm expecting double digits

Yes, scripted out was strong considering his pass catching. I said he's a mid to low RB2, but IMO that's about it. He's not a league winner.

Mid-low RB2, Much better flex option in a Flex-2 or especially Flex-3 leagues, he has wide appeal there
I agree, he's not the RB to go 20-120-2TDs...that's not who he is but you toss out 60-80 total yds, several catches and a TD maybe every other week and you have a nice band-aid
This week, we still need to see how Saquon, Josh Jacobs, Judkins and there are other RB1 types that are questionable at best, Tracy could be a great option for many out there
And since a lot of folks are not hyped about him sorta like you, I would see if a WR sitting on my bench but usable would be enough to snare him

i'll take it!

Outstanding buy low opportunity right now.
Bro. Can you tell me tonight’s Mega Millions lottery numbers? This is some Ms Cleo level **** right here.
Thanks, to kind though, he'd have needed to outright replace a healthy Cam for me to think it was a great call. His usage with Cam healthy was disappointing to me.

He needed an injury, and I will say while I would never have forecast that type of injury, I did post I thought the odds of Cam holding up was not great. So it's more just prudent business then some great call, just making sure you are sitting on guy I think is the next man up, especially one I think has some talent.

I will say, I don't view view a talent drop off here and when Tracy has been given the volume that Cam has he's done just as well, if not better. Cam was the right guy at the right time for this team and it led to Tracy getting cast aside is some kind of Linsanity like situation but in terms of pure rushing performance, and overall talent, I don't see a drop off here for the Giants. The dropoff is more the energy and excitement they'll miss.

Tracy averaged 15 ppg last season. He was sneaky good. And they didn't play all easy defenses. Playing catchup leads to passes caught and yards against defenses playing to prevent big plays.

I was also expecting an injury. Not sure Cam's game lends itself to much longevity. Although I was thinking concussions would be the problem, not a dislocated ankle. Anyway, that's why I drafted and hung on to Tracy. He's very productive in PPR scoring.

That offense isn’t going to be very good going forward. Tracy will have to depend on volume. Will that be enough? Perhaps for a low end rb2 or flex. Also, better hope he doesn’t start fumbling again. I believe he lost 5 of them last year.

One year doesn’t translate but he did ok last year with drew lock and Tommy cutlets at qb
