Everybody is honestly just best staying away from this inevitable committee. Top man any given week is likely looking at a max of 10-12 touches.
Some of us went light on RB2 and have a bunch of junk there. We need some hope! Don’t drown our dreams just yetEverybody is honestly just best staying away from this inevitable committee. Top man any given week is likely looking at a max of 10-12 touches.
I accept that he’s only been on the team for 2-3 weeks so hasn’t been or needed to be heavily involved in the game plan. Maybe you own Steele or Pacheco and are blinded by this? How could you place your trust in a guy who doesn't have a touch to date? (Sorry but he's been there long enough, especially for a RB...the new to the team thing doesn't jive to me)
As many have said, probably need to look elsewhere, but if I had to choose between these two it's gonna be the rookie who's had a bunch of touches already.
puntSteele vs Perine vs Hunt.
Gross.
This whole situation seems like an avoid. Let somebody else deal with it.Steele vs Perine vs Hunt.

I guess if nothing else, maybe Mahomes and Kelce owners might benefit. So far I'm betting most team's FF backup QBs and TEs are outscoring Mahomes and Kelce. I know that's the case with several of my teams. This whole situation seems like an avoid. Let somebody else deal with it.Steele vs Perine vs Hunt.

Mahommes is going to throw a ton.
Kelce will probably get his pulse back.
Are you talking about Chris Brooks that Green Bay activated off their practice squad today after they put Lloyd on Injured Reserve?Own Steele… but I expect full RBBC with potential DPrince coming back or Chris Brooks possibly
Not a clear division of touches as more Jet Sweep with Rice/Worthy options to utilize their speed.
Creativity will be the new game plan.
I hope you have nerves of steel. As someone who is super thin at RB2 I'm targeting Steele off waivers...but I'm cringing as I write this. It's a lottery ticket in a headache of a committee.

Idk bout league winner. He is an undrafted rookie. You think Reid is gonna trust him with blitz pickups over someone like Perine or Hunt? Those guys are definitely slower, but way more experienced. I might throw a low ball bid on Hunt and immediately trade him if he does sign. Otherwise, gonna be a hard pass on KC waivers. People have mentioned McKinnon, but he's 32 now and like a dog, that's 65 in RB yearsIn any format if given the restriction that I could only take one, I go Steele. In other words, I’d still take Steele over Perine in perine’s best format (PPR redraft).
My thinking is that of the three, Steele is the only one who I could see being a league-winning add (like Kyren or puka last year). Perine may be a serviceable RB2 in PPR formats with a high floor, but my assumption (and my personal reality) is that I have some semblance of rb depth so Perine numbers would be comparable to like a Tyjae Spears or Antonio Gibson. In other words, Perine isn’t a difference maker (except for an owner who draft wr heavy and got hit by injuries to an already weak rb room). Hunt seems like a slower version of Steele at this point.
Steele seems like the rb of the three with the best odds to be an actual league-changer.
Well, if it was the same Chris Brooks who started with Miami, had a concussion injury settlement and then went to GB PS…..Are you talking about Chris Brooks that Green Bay activated off their practice squad today after the put Lloyd on Injured Reserve?Own Steele… but I expect full RBBC with potential DPrince coming back or Chris Brooks possibly

My Mahomes team could for sure use a solid infusion of inside the five passing TDs.I guess if nothing else, maybe Mahomes and Kelce owners might benefit. I take the fumble as a positive. Andy gave him the carries, not Perine with the game on the line post fumble.Don’t have either player but I’m going in on Steele. Perine will surely get all the passing down stuff but Steele’s size should get some redzone touches if he doesn’t fumble the opportunity away.
This is how I feel also and how I’m going into waivers tonight with my FAAB. We’ll see if it pays off.I take the fumble as a positive. At this stage Hunt shares the same role as Perine. IMO Steele is RB1 and Hunt & Perine share the receiving back role.
Steele to lead 105-104.
I just think he's got the best chance of doing things with his touches. Samaje is pedestrian and Kareem seemed so done last year, but but but
that said, Hunt fit in so well with that offense before that he might be aware enough of how to play the position that he can skip the explosiveness part of it.
And what or where is CEH? What happened to him?
CEH is out of the picture. PTSD, I don't think he was a participant in any way in training camp. Seems the team is doing him right by keeping him on IR so he has health insurance and access to the kind of doctors he needs. But he won't be near a football field for a long time if ever again.
to be fair, deebo is going to be out multiple weeks and when Aiyuk was holding out I wasn't worried since Jennings is their plug and play guy. I think adding Jennings is a solid add. Would I drop Steele for him? probably not unless I had a stack of RBs and Steele would be like my 5th RB.In another league: an owner drops Steele! For jajuan Jennings.
cant believe how close that race ishaha, I broke the tie
^This. I'm not in an auction league, but Steele was the top waiver in both my leagues. I didn't even have a claim in on him (or Perine). I don't see anyone in this backfield being worth the headache. Reid will game-plan around who they are playing and use RB's accordingly. I really don't think there's a Pacheco replacement in the guys who are there and see it as more of a headache than it's worth.I’m just happy people blew their money on this backfield while I’ll sit back and wait
Lucky guess.Or Hunt?
For PPR that’s probably for the best.I WW bid on both, bidding $1 less for Steele compared to Perine. I wound up with Perine.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said RB Kareem Hunt could play in Week 3.
Hunt, 29, signed with the Chiefs this week after the team lost lead back Isiah Pacheco to a broken leg. The former Chiefs and Browns back probably won’t see more than a handful of touches if he suits up against the Falcons on Sunday night. Samaje Perine and Carson Steele will likely split backfield touches in Pacheco’s absence, with Perine positioned as the pass-catching RB.
Would Ingram assume the ST role while Steele gets more carries??Ingram promoted to the active roster while Hunt is put on the PR.
I think I like Ingram better than Steele as a runner and possible option in this offense. Steele plays STs which is why he was active each week.
i'd take Ingram as the flyer for this week to see what happens. Hunt likely needs some time too get up to NFL speed.
