I’m already a little irritated that the entire season comes down to a game played in a monsoon.
Take heart, it seems to benefit you guys.

I disagree. And I’m not irritated because it means SF will lose, it just makes for crappy football.I’m already a little irritated that the entire season comes down to a game played in a monsoon.

Skill and scheme advantages are a lot less pronounced when it just 22 dudes flopping around in the mud. It’s going to be a lot of McCaffrey running between the tackles for 2 yards today.I disagree. And I’m not irritated because it means SF will lose, it just makes for crappy football.
Ah, I see. Well, the second lament is surely sound. The Bears/49ers game earlier this year was no fun, and the 49ers did indeed lose.
I'm just thinking with your run defense and running game that you'd be better equipped to handle muddy, monsoon-like conditions than Seattle. I could be wrong.
I think you may see more of Mitchell than usual because of his more straight ahead running style. Expect a lot of short passes to Deebo as well.Skill and scheme advantages are a lot less pronounced when it just 22 dudes flopping around in the mud. Yeah, I’m in Sacramento and if the weather in Santa Clara is anything like here, it is going to be a mess.I think you may see more of Mitchell than usual because of his more straight ahead running style. Looks like the rain in Santa Clara is holding off until the start of the game. Nice. Absolutely pouring right now in Rocklin, CA
They have a couple of beefy guys but this is a zone read team, it’s not a power running attack that relies on huge OL mauling their counterparts.Skill and scheme advantages are a lot less pronounced when it just 22 dudes flopping around in the mud. True, and I don't disagree with you. That said, aren't you guys known for your brawn, from Trent Williams onward? It seemed like you guys were able to lay physical lumber on other teams last year in the playoffs. Not much has changed from a roster perspective, so has this?
Again, not disagreeing. Just making a point that I think is the standard narrative around you guys.

I know SF is claiming they need additional interior linemen active because of illness etc, but how many DNPs for Drake Jackson before we start getting concerned?
I would be more worried if their other edge rushers sucked. Plus, Bosa's snaps will be increased during the playoffs somewhat. But yeah, would definitely be a better sign for the future if he was a no doubt start.I know SF is claiming they need additional interior linemen active because of illness etc, but how many DNPs for Drake Jackson before we start getting concerned?

Well, Seattle was selling out to stop the run. Other than the long one by McCaffrey, nothing much there. Was glad to see it actually.Shanahan passing 19 times while running 11 times in the first half.
What is wrong with him?
Young threw for 6td but only 325Huh. Surprising. Would have thought Steve Young would have had a huge game in there somewherePurdy threw for the most yardage in a postseason game for a 49ers quarterback since Joe Montana (357) in Super Bowl XXIII
(Matt Maiocco/NBC Sports Bay Area)
Would prefer the Vikings. They just seem soft. Take Jefferson away they can't keep up. 49ers should have another 35 point plus game.Who do yall want next week?

I honestly think it depends on the makeup of the teams playing. Being a good defensive team with a strong running game and playmakers that thrieve on RAC on short passes makes it less of a concern to me. A team like say the Vikings that have a poor run D and normally play in a dome would be a bigger issue.Hopefully the weather won't be as bad as it was in the Bears game this year or Washington game a couple of years ago, but the inclement weather seems to be more of an equalizer than something good teams can take advantage of.Would seem to favor the 49ers based on running game and shorter passing game.It will be raining for the game Saturday which will add a wrinkle.
Rainy and windy. Gusts to like 20mph or something.
Most recent report I saw was that heavy winds and rain should end by about noon, with lighter wind (@ 10mph) and light showers through the game. If that's true, the biggest thing will be keeping the field in decent shape until afternoon, and then they should be fine.

I was not in a good place. Glad my "info" paid off, as did my team.Who do yall want next week?

I’d prefer the Vikings with Dallas going to Philly. Think Dallas could go to the Linc and knock them off and set us up for a home game in the NFCC.Who do yall want next week?

I dunno. Seahawks played a perfect half and Niners made a bunch of mistakes and yet were only down 1. I personally thought it was obvious they would pull away eventually. Not gonna lie, I was sweating at halftime.
I really think the nfl has told the 9ers to limit cmc touches in the first half to keep the games close for a bit and not tank ratings.I dunno. link49ers have now scored 37-plus points in four straight games. They had scored 37 or more just four times in their previous 52 games.
Would prefer old man Brady. Dallas has a lot of talent and if they happen to be on that day, they will be toughBring on Dak or Brady!
Cowboys would be more fun but I think it’s gonna be TB.
As previously mentioned, the fix is in. If the coin toss results had been flipped CMAC would have just scored earlier and more often and just killed the TV ratings.Just looked this up because I noticed we seem to win the opening coin toss a LOT. We in fact do.
In 2022, the 49ers won 14 of 17 coin tosses (plus the one last night vs Seattle). The only ones we didn't win were week 1 @ Chicago, week 2 vs Seattle, and week 14 vs Tampa.
I had wondered if coin tosses would coincide with wins and losses. Maybe they do. Putting our defense on the field first, and getting first possession in the 2nd half seems to be working. I wonder what the results would have been had wlthat been flipped and we went 3-14 on coin flips and didn't have so many games where our offense got the ball first after half time adjustments.
Yes I was bored this morning lol

I feel the same.Kind of how I feel here. Brady is a statue and the 49ers pass rush will thrive. But beating Dallas always has a little extra joy in it. Still holding a little grudge from them knocking the 49ers out of the playoffs all those times in the 80s and 90s I guess.
