STAR WARS: Episode 7 (All-Time #1 opening box office.) (2 Viewers)

I'm hoping for a backstory on how Midichlorian came to be and why only some people are infected by it and why more people aren't intentionally exposing themselves to it.
i looked that wordup and did not know that was a part of this story i am not a book reader on these movies but that is some interesting stuff but geez man for a lot of guys like me that would be hard to make simple enough that it would be followable it owuld be like the matrix i liked those movies but hell if i knew what in the world was going on half of the time so that is my onlything on that amigo

I'm hoping for a backstory on how midichlorians were all a ruse by the jedi and that the test shown in Episode 1 was just to fool the poor desert rubes.

Tatooine is like the Alabama of the galaxy.

As long as the movie is Jar Jar Binks centric and follows his adventures with the Ewoks then i'm sure little kids will love it and they'll sell millions of dollars worth of merch

Guys.. we could WRITE the movie right here. Let's start on this lighttomahawk backstory
"Where did Native Americans come from? The only people that know...are the people from their home planet. Welcome to the native planet of Hawkeye."
No Hawkeyes.
It's a working title. Planet name needs to be indian-like.Come on people, this could be a FanFiction classic!
Can't be worse than that Star Wars/Star Trek mash-up posted earlier in this thread.

I think he's a pretty good choice but it's odd that he is directing both the Star Trek and Star Wars franchises.I would have probably preferred Matthew Vaughn though.

I'm going to have a three-year old son when this movie comes out. That's the only real upside, I guess. Let's be honest, these movies are geared towards selling toys and video games for awhile now.

I don't think many 3 year olds would enjoy a movie like Revenge of the Sith. Also, Abrahams is not really known for making movies/tv that moves merchandise for kids.

I saw Empire Strikes Back when I was 3.

Nobody should have enjoyed Revenge of the Sith, one of the worst movies ever made. It's sad when space battles and Natalie Portman can't save a movie. Whatever Abrams is known for, he's going to have to venture to the kiddy market. The insane midget has decided that Star Wars needs to be Saturday morning cartoon fodder and there's been no indication that he's going to change or come to reality (Crystal Skull anyone? No thanks, that sucked donkeys too).

That's way over the top. The movie grabbed a solid 7.7 Imdb rating, a solid 68 meta critic rating and solid 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. It was pretty much the opposite of the worst movie ever made when rated by viewers and critics alike.

It is certainly fine that you hated the movie as it is your opinion but you should probably stop acting like everyone else did when the data shows just the opposite.

I didn't say that everyone did. Lots of people like bad movies. It was horribly written, and horribly acted and horribly directed. It made a billion dollars, little kids lapped it up. Doesn't change the fact that it was stupid and horrible.

Are you sure you're not talking about the two kiddie crap movies that preceded it? RotS wasn't terrible. Wasn't great either, but digestible compared to the two pieces of #### that led into it.

I enjoyed all 3. They have their flaws and in no way compare to the originals but they expanded the story for better or worse. Hopefully Disney can do the same.

I thought it was the worst of the three, largely do to the fact that it was the worst actor in the bunch with the most emphasis. Seriously, "From my point of view the Jedi were evil!". Daniel Day Lewis couldn't have made that role palatable, but what's his name compounded a horrible script with horrible acting. But enough about it, I'll go on all day about how ####ty it was.I doubt I'll see the new one in the theater. I gave up giving money to that franchise. However, with a decent director I am sure that the characters will be better and the direction will be almost infinitely improved. But the midget is still going to screw it up, royally and without apology.

That's all I am looking for myself. I think anyone would be fool hardy to expect anything to the level of ANH or ESB, but if the three upcoming can hover around the Return of the Jedi, Revenge of the Sith level, I would be perfectly happy. This is the same tactic I am taking with the new hobbit movies. I know in my heart they can't be as good as the LOTR movies but as long as they are enjoyable and not total dog crap, I will be happy.

And the worst moment of RoJ was ten times better than the best of the three abortions. Not even Natalie Portman's midriff.

Not even close. The Teddy Bears destroyed much of that movie and made a mockery out of the incredible hoth battle by taking down the walkers with twigs. There were plenty of great moments in the prequels along with plenty of dreadful moments.

If you pretend that JAr JAr is Anakin and Hayden is Jar Jar it makes it easier.

You're right, the super accurate (according to old Ben) Storm Troopers that took out the Land Crawler and pretty much couldn't hit anything else the rest of the trilogy really helped with the fight scenes. And any of it is better than the floppy eared jackass cartoon that accidentally destroyed the mose fearsome army in the universe with a bunch of rubber bouncing balls. THe Ewoks were weak, but with the possible exception of the fight with Darth Maul (pretty much the only time when three physically capable actors fought against each other and not CGI), still better than anything in the crapfests.

Darth Maul vs Obi Wan is definitely the best fight in all 6 movies.
