Watched Deli Boys on ... Paramount, Hulu or peacock... Lol- sorry, they all blur.

It's a decent comedy series. Spoiled grown sons of Pakistani immigrant self made businessman learn what dad actually did for work.

Pretty consistent humor and show that doesn't elevate to top tier, but is solidly decent. Worth a watch if you're looking for something.
We're diggin' it so far. Perfect filler show when you're looking for a dark comedy. I've mentioned it before but maybe check out The Sticky on Prime. Similar vibe. Nothing groundbreaking but a funny storyline and cast.

Academy Award winner Anora is out on Hulu. That was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a few years. Funny, captivating, well-written and well-acted.

I watched an Aussie show, Boy Swallows Universe, from a couple years back.

Started off really strong... Kinda reminded me of a Mr In-between origin story. But theres a chronological shift that happens and the show lost steam for me after that as it headed towards its conclusion.

Anybody else watch this?

I liked it. But I can't say I remember a lot more than that about it.
That's the thing about a lot of shows. Unless they're truly remarkable (either in a good or bad way) I don't remember what they were about awhile later. I record the ones I liked, with subtitles, expecting that over time my TV options will be more limited by money and my hearing will continue to get worse. I'm filling up hard drives with stuff I'll watch again.

Been watching The Residence on Netflix.
A fun Clue-like whodunit. I probably don't earn any snob points for watching it but I'm enjoying it.

Wrapped up the 2nd season of Severance.
It was funny midway through Episode 5, my wife shouts..."is that Robbie Benson??" :lmao:
A few minutes later or at some other random moment, I shout,....."Is that Sandra Bernhard?"
Talk about a couple of blasts from the past!!! Some of you may have no idea who I'm talking about. Oh well. It was funny in our house.

I wasn't initially thrilled with the ending, but after soaking in it for a couple of days, I guess it makes for an interesting S3.
Something else that is regularly stated in our home while watching this show. "this show is so weird...I have no idea what is going on!"

Finished up Shrinking last night. Both of us thought it was an excellent and consistently funny show in general, but the final episode of S2 was superb with the mix of heartfelt storylines along with the humor. I know there is supposed to be an S3 but if it never came out this would be a fine ending for the show. We'll probably start Severance next as I know it's highly thought of. I'm a bit nervous, though, as I don't usually like to have to think too hard when watching shows any more.

I wouldn't say that Severance requires a lot of active thinking such as a show like Dark, The Leftovers, etc. But, you need to be paying attention pretty much all the time and you'll need to be okay with being confused and knowing that you ae only being given bits and pieces of information.

Just watched the first episode of Adolescence. Great episode. Just not sure where it goes from here. Seems pretty cut and dry.

Watched HBO MAX, A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read. Not gonna lie, I kinda recall the name being familiar but had ZERO knowledge of what was happening in the Canton community in regards to this case. As I started to watch it just felt like she was guilty. For me, the biggest piece pushing me to that decision was that she was able to spot the body in those weather conditions at night so far off the road. How in the world could she have seen the body without knowing. As the trial moved on good amount of wtf moments popped up. The google search about dieing in the cold. The butt dials felt really weird. When in doubt I can scream butt dial? The snow plow guy no seeing the body? Karen and that FBI guy were flirting and kissed? Feels like motive. The big on is the autopsy had an inconclusive cause of death? Scratches on arm? A dog? The only dog on the property was given away? Dude threw his phone away a day before they wanted it? He threw it away in some random place? I'm usually really good at making personal verdicts on watching stuff like this, but this one is a damn near draw for me. I agree with the first trial verdict. Mistrial. No matter my opinion on the case, I believe the prosecution just didn't do enough here to prosecute her. Solid watch though for those crime documentaries.

After watching this, 10% of me wonders if she intentionally backed into him, 89% of me thinks she most likely accidentally backed into him and 1% of me wonders about a conspiracy. As far as the conspiracy thing goes, I think it's almost impossible to get a group of people to all keep a secret, most (if not all) of the time, someone will crack. That stated, I will admit, getting rid of the dog and cell phones is a really bad look. The other thing of it is, someone else should have been investigating this incident aside from Michael Proctor. Lastly, whatever that flirting thing was between her and the other guy doesn't do the prosecutor any favors either by adding to the whole conspiracy theory. Conversely, I think one of the things that hurts her though is that her own defense attorney actually saying ". . . it was before the collision. . . " ouch. And, I'm not an expert or anything but in her very own words in this documentary she specifically stated she pulled a piece of glass out of his nose. And looking back on the damage to her vehicle where you can see a point of impact where it looks like a dent in her vehicle where a guy would be holding a glass tumbler, which to me, feels like something that would happen to someone holding a drink in their hand and getting run into unexpectedly at 24 mph. And, by the way, 24 mph is REALLY pretty quick in reverse. At the same time, I do believe the pieces of tail light and maybe even the shoe (possibly?) were most likely planted, I'm not saying they were planted but I'm saying it would not surprise me. By the way, this whole thing of driving and wandering around with a glass of alcohol in your hand feels awfully familiar to me. . . now where have I seen guys running around with a drinks in their hands all the time? I'm not saying these clues necessarily add up to her being guilty, but guilty or not guilty, she sure comes off as a brutally cold, self centered, self absorbed, narcissist and honestly she's just so unlikable it's not even funny. What's troubling (to me) is that there appears to be absolutely zero remorse there for the loss of her boyfriend, very little to zero sympathy for his family, it's ALL about her, 100%.

Good post. I'm in line with your outcome percentage u listed. I also believe more then likely she accidentally backed into him. Definitely agree with that many people involved for not one of them to come clean would be very unlikely. Just a weird case. The bright side is it's about to start over again. Ha ha

Saw this mentioned in an article about upcoming Apple shows and I'm intrigued.

Deal or No Deal Island 2 - intense finale

Complaint: Show needs to vary the point of view. Both seasons were from a previous reality player's POV. Need to use more storylines/players.

Funny running gag all season was 'and 1 dollar' for the guy that only added $1 to the pot.
Dr Will twist was meh.

This season's 'The Family' alliance was oh so powerful (US Survivor Parvati + Australian Survivor Golden God + an unknown).
David was able to hide his identity until the second to last episode.

Playing for over $12mil is definitely life changing money.
Turned down a buyout of $1.9mil (~4x what he won on AU Survivor) when all he had was the $12mil case larger than that - ballsy. With 4 cases remaining - 3 low amounts and the big one - turned down the offer of $2.9mil buyout. If he picks the big one all he'll get is less than 500 bucks. Everyone - is puckered up - Success! Offer up to $3.8mil - biggest offer in Deal or No Deal history. No Deal

Banker in season 1 was Howie Mandell of course.
Season 2 is Chrissy Teigen (back in the day - an unknown case #12 model).

2 cases remain: $12mil or 75 dollars. Offer $5.8mil
Biggest winner in network TV history, a true Golden God... OR... biggest loser in TV history? Deal

(his case was the $75 case = Good Deal)
Funny ending - Chrissy asks if she's fired - literally the worst Banker of all time.

Although predictable, was a decent season over-all.

Both shows are entertaining enough and some good mindless procedural detective show. There was even someone taking from a bank brochacho

Didn't watch S1, but watched S2 with my wife.

Regarding the finale, I kept asking my wife if the show was scripting. Just did not make sense for him to continue to pass on the deal being offered. I get that the % said to do it, but if he hit the 12mil case, he gets minimal money. Why be so damn greedy?

The games against the banker during the season seem backwards. You actually want to knock out all the big cases but 1 so that your odds of making a good deal increase. Feels backwards, but it is the right play.

Individually, yes. Low is good to make a good deal on a buyout, but your game usually comes to an end (Safe if one makes it to the final 2 cases and has the big bucks).
As a group, it's bad since it doesn't build the pot. No one wants to win $1.

Obviously, the ideal is do both - increase the pot and advance.

Just finished latest White Lotus episode. I don't have a brother, but that got dark. Ha ha
I think what this is leading to is
Lochlan never took the drug — earlier in E5 we saw that he knows how to do sleight-of-hand — which means he was not knocked out and did what he did deliberately. Saxon will flip out when he learns this. Lochlan will be revealed as even more of a predator than Saxon is.
