From reading this board as of late... it's right there. You don't have the god player of the year on your team... Jermichael Finley. lol Yeah, i agree, this year is a tough one. Not much for bargains and if you go on the cheaper side, the costs add up quick to limit your studs...

I like this team in some respects, but yes. I'd do a couple things differently.

latest roster had 30 players. Not having a WR over $12 scares me

I have no WR over $18, then the next group of guys are around $11 each. Honestly, the guys I really covet are in the $27 range. But once I decided that was too much money to risk on one WR, it was easy to drop way down below $20.

I like this team. My only concern is spending all that money on Gates without a quality backup.

Thank you, I'd had Branch on there for ages but it looks like he might actually have some value now. I originally had Gates and Carlson but split Carlson's 11 between the two rookies. Might change it back before the deadline.

I've had my roster as low as 18 which is too dangerous and as high as 28 players. With the 28 players I was too worried about getting high end points when it mattered. I am now in the 23-25 player range and feel like its the sweet spot for what my strategy is.

if I liked that team a lot (it's decent, but nothing outstanding), I'd just adjust the Defenses and maybe switch Decker out for another $4 WR I have on my roster right now.

I'm not set on those D's. Really struggling to pick a winner. Used the VBD spreadsheet to see who looks like a value based on the scoring, from what I can see yards/points don't count and it's based purely on sacks/fumbles etc.I think I know who you mean but I'll keep quiet.

Submitted a 30 man roster last night and had $9 left over.

I'm finding more and more cheap players that I like.

A couple things that stand out IMO:

1) You are best served staying in the 21-25 player range. More than this and your team is too diluted of power, less than and you are too thin to survive the inevitable injury strike.

2) You need to spend quality money at the QB and TE positions. Go cheap here and its gonna cost you big time.

3) If there is any area to sacrifice and go cheap, its at the DEF position. The point production from here is low and is semi-unstable.

4) You should carry no less than 3 PK, and no more than 6. I think 4 is the optimum number.

Im gonna post my team after the deadline, but looking like 22 or 23 players

This is, by far, a much harder contest than it was the last couple years. Kudo's to the staff. Been making changes 3 - 4 times a day.
