What's the thought on lace-less dress shoes with a suit?Are the slip-on dress shoes only for times when you're going shirt & tie? Or are they acceptable anytime?

Slip ons are acceptable any time. I personally prefer slip ons over lace ups. More streamlined and european type :style:

They are considered less formal. Wearing a suit in a formal/serious setting with slip-ons is about the only time eyebrows might be raised.

I've personally never been a huge fan of the snap up western shirt (no real specific reason, just not a fan). With that said of your examples above Western 2 isn't bad.

I'd go with a aviator type frame but avoid the Top Gun wire frame shtick. I have these glasses with a dark tinted lens. This red/purple color lense in the pic is awful. Stick with the basics.

Not at all. I have plenty of cheap frames as well but really only wear them for novelty or when I'm on the water. Tough to find nice polarized frames on the cheap.

Not at all. I have plenty of cheap frames as well but really only wear them for novelty or when I'm on the water. Tough to find nice polarized frames on the cheap.

I lose and break sunglasses so much that I don't bother spending much. I should probably get a polarized pair for driving though. Haven't had any since losing some Ray Bans a few years ago.

Unless you want your Paul Smith button down getting pit/sweat stains, I suggest you do otherwise. A low cut v neck in the shark move here. You get the absorption to protect your top shirt and undershirt can't be seen. If you don't want to shell out the $ for American Apparel, just take a pair of scissors and cut up basic CK/Hanes v neck undershirts into a deep v.

That is like an Austin Powers level of chest hair on that dude. Can't see wearing a V-neck if that carpet was on my chest.

One thing that was readily apparently: The line between looking cool and looking like a complete doosh is a fine one. I almost felt compelled shirt but came to realize it weighed more on the doosh side of the scale.

picked up some sweet, basic shorts though. Kinda weird wearing "shorter", thinner shorts. But I am rolling with it.

as long as it's a brown woven belt about 2 sizes too big with extra length folded and hanging off of the belt loop, I have no problem this

JTG - assuming you live in Jersey. You should definitely check out Woodbury Commons outside of NYC. Best damn outlet mall I've seen in the world. Every brand you can think of. You'll do yourself a big service buying quality threads at deep discounts vs. shelling out $140 for this True Religion garbage.
