THE FBG Fashion Thread :style: (2 Viewers)

What's the thought on lace-less dress shoes with a suit? Are the slip-on dress shoes only for times when you're going shirt & tie? Or are they acceptable anytime?
Slip ons are acceptable any time. I personally prefer slip ons over lace ups. More streamlined and european type :style:

They are considered less formal. Wearing a suit in a formal/serious setting with slip-ons is about the only time eyebrows might be raised.

both are acceptable as long as you don't wear socks
:excited: I love how Major has been shticking it up this entire thread but most of you are so blinded with trying to keep up with "what's cool now" that you haven't noticed.Best shtick I've seen in years.

:lmao: I'd never wear them with a suit in a professional setting.
Well, now you've learned something new.

while i don't necessarily disagree, it seams like 75% of attorneys over the age of 50 roll with some version of these suckers.Shoes with tassels = a coming of age

It means you can`t bend over to tie your shoes anymore.

I can only think of two things: denim shorts and black tank tops

Alright fashion guys. Lookin to get a nice pair of sunglasses. Want somethin that look nice and "cool" without being too too douchey. Have nothin to go on so if theres a pair ya like throw Ill take a look. If I missed a good thread for it let me know.

I'd go with a aviator type frame but avoid the Top Gun wire frame shtick. I have these glasses with a dark tinted lens. This red/purple color lense in the pic is awful. Stick with the basics.

Is it wrong that I kinda like some of the $10 80's sunglasses at that site?

Not at all. I have plenty of cheap frames as well but really only wear them for novelty or when I'm on the water. Tough to find nice polarized frames on the cheap.

I lose and break sunglasses so much that I don't bother spending much. I should probably get a polarized pair for driving though. Haven't had any since losing some Ray Bans a few years ago.

Any tennis shoes you can't go wrong with Pumas.

Another topic I'm sure that's been brought up but a man should never wear an undershirt. Wear a dress shirt without one.
Unless you want your Paul Smith button down getting pit/sweat stains, I suggest you do otherwise. A low cut v neck in the shark move here. You get the absorption to protect your top shirt and undershirt can't be seen. If you don't want to shell out the $ for American Apparel, just take a pair of scissors and cut up basic CK/Hanes v neck undershirts into a deep v.
That is like an Austin Powers level of chest hair on that dude. Can't see wearing a V-neck if that carpet was on my chest.

Definitely not a good look. As stated earlier, if you're determined to keep an afro on your chest, do us all a favor and stick with the crew neck please.

I always wear undershirts and I have plenty of high end button-ups....Paul Smith, Varvatos, Gucci. Undershirts work fine. I believe they are necessary.

I'm assuming it's been going on for ages and I never realized, but just TODAY witnessed it 3 different times this morning for the first time....one co-worker, two out over lunch.

Dude's using the Lee jeans brown patch as an actual belt loop.

So, these guys are stringing their belts through this....

Stop it.
It definitely has been going on for ages. I remember doing that in elementary school.

What's interesting is that with all 3 of these guys, their sweet Lee jeans were about 2 inches too short. Coincidence?

Spent considerable amount of time yesterday at the look "snooty" mall.

One thing that was readily apparently: The line between looking cool and looking like a complete doosh is a fine one. I almost felt compelled shirt but came to realize it weighed more on the doosh side of the scale.

picked up some sweet, basic shorts though. Kinda weird wearing "shorter", thinner shorts. But I am rolling with it.

as long as it's a brown woven belt about 2 sizes too big with extra length folded and hanging off of the belt loop, I have no problem this

Good call on passing on that shirt. Western + flowers = :unstyle:

saw this one too but could wrap my head around paying $140 for a shirt I would wear maybe twice a year. It's pretty cool though. If I was single, I think i could get laid in it :goodposting:
JTG - assuming you live in Jersey. You should definitely check out Woodbury Commons outside of NYC. Best damn outlet mall I've seen in the world. Every brand you can think of. You'll do yourself a big service buying quality threads at deep discounts vs. shelling out $140 for this True Religion garbage.

yesterday was a random trip to Short Hills Mall for a surprise for the Mrs. :goodposting:

Just got home from Summerfest (in Milwaukee). Literally about 90% of the guys walking those grounds should read this thread.
