The Inauguration (3 Viewers)

I was only able to read the transcript of Trump's speech
Well that's a plus, because he barely could.  Guy is like an invalid with that TelePrompter.  It's awful.  Don't they have a class for making that look and sound at least a little more natural?

He's already making Obama look like a wizard, and we're just scratching the surface here with "reading" and "talking."

So was the FHA executive order fake news?
It was real, I saw some extreme spin on it though. "Trump makes it more expensive for poor people to get housing." That is probably true but Congress is also trying to make sure the department doesn't need another bailout like it did in 2013. I don't know enough to really debate the issue further than that, but it wasn't just an issue of attacking the poor.

It was also something that was decided early in the week well before Trump took office but makes for good hate news. For anyone in real estate this wasn't news when he signed it.

But it was for homebuyers.
Sure, would have made it easier for people to buy homes similar to the 2006 boom time. That boom led to 2008 crash. We are in the business and would have benefited but objectively can see why it's smart not to repeat the same mistakes. May still happen at some point, feedback I got was both parties kept it from happening.

I can't stand this kind of thing. No matter what your politics are, there are always very legitimate arguments. When people look for a negative angle on everything, it's just so pathetic and weakens the legitimate arguments through dilution and division.

So let me see if I have this right - it's Trump administration policy to ensure we do not have a housing boom?

Assuming he doesn't destroy the country, at the very lest it's going to be an entertaining 4 years.

Your agenda is so old. Read what I wrote, we are partners in a mortgage company and the President said both parties killed it. We got that email start of the week....old news.

I think Congress wants to make sure the FHA has enough money in reserves and doesn't need another bailout. If FHA failed, it would be devastating for people with low incomes that own homes or are looking to own a home.

Just watched it again, and that speech was awesome. No phony political crap, just straight shooting, hard truths and the same theme that got him elected. Really a home run. Amazing day yesterday. Finally some pride has been restored.

#### is wrong with you?
Medical facts got you upset? I was simply commenting on the possibility and pointing out that older father's tend to have more children with issues. For instance DeNiro had a child very late in life that is autistic. He seems to want to blame vaccines as well. But the likelyhood is it's on him.

Change was long overdue, excited for a chance of less political gridlock getting nothing accomplished, less liberal elitist attitude, and focusing on getting our country right first. We gave it 8 years, time for a new approach. I'm with you let's hope for the best.  :suds:

Yeah polling hasn't worked out too well for you guys....that said please stroll Bernie back out there in 2020.
First off polling was fine. Clinton won by nearly 3 million votes. The distribution of those votes was the problem. And you are going to get plenty of Bernie over the next 4 years don't worry.

How accurate were the polls in Michigan, PA and Wisconsin?

Not my take at all.  I thought it was HORRIBLE.  I really did think that all the divisiveness and attacks leading up to the campaign was targeted for the disenfranchised, but that once in, he would ease up and unite  --NOPE -- we're as divided as ever and its all his making now.

Nice try, that's on Obama and all your clowns blocking entrances chained to fences and destroying property yesterday. Now you get to deal with the people you pissed on for 8 years having a voice. Enjoy.

What did he say that was divisive in the speech? He took shots at Washington and terrorism but his main point was giving power back to the people of this country.

I don't agree with that last part.  We are as divided as ever, and that happened long before Trump decided to run for president.  It's true that he has not helped out one bit in that regard, but to put the division all on him now seems a bit over the top.  Race relations crumbled badly over Obama's last term.

Well let's take Michigan. Polls had Clinton up about 3 percent on average which was pretty close to the margin of error possible. Trump won by a few tenths of one percent. I'd call that pretty close. I'd have to look up the others

The RCP average in Michigan and Wisconsin was 6+ for Hillary and PA was over 3+.

Didn't vote for him, but if he actually pulls this off, I will definitely give him some credit.

Real cuts sure...cuts that amount to nothing and just removing the endowment for the arts and stuff?  Political posturing.

Especially considering what increases in infrastructure spending, the cost of repealing ACA...and so on.

This isn't a slam on Trump or Rs...this is the common thing in fed and state governments

Exactly. I need some specific lines that were divisive. If you're an American, you were included in that speech.

Not putting that on Obama. Nope.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Anyone who said this was a divisive speech was either a bureaucrat or someone who didn't hear it.
