Tiger Woods (2 Viewers)

Tiger's back!

Soon to be title of an upcoming 30for30 by ESPN films.  The duel meaning of "Tiger's back!"

Teasing golf fans for years.  Hey great, Tiger's back!  No... it's his back... it's out again!

This will be the last year that Tiger is exempt to play in the US Open.  I bet he misses as many as he plays from here on out.

He also does not meet the criteria to play in this year's PGA, but they reserve the right to invite anyone, so he will no doubt play in that tourney whenever he wants.

Here are how the exemptions work for past champions.

Masters: Lifetime
US Open: 10 years
British Open: Until age 60
PGA Championship: Lifetime

His exemption at The PLAYERS is up next year.

Aren't there special sponsor exemptions if they want? or double secret probation exemptions. If they want him they will find a way to let him play...if he can play.

Not for the us open
Palmer won his last major in 1964, his only US Open in 1960. He was granted a special exemption for every US Open until 1983 (53.) Nicklaus won his last of 4 US Opens in 1980 and his last major in 1986. He was granted his last special exemption in the US Open in 2000 (60.)

We're at least 15-20 (if not 25-30) years from a golf ruling body withholding an invite from Tiger Woods.

The way he's spraying the ball, they may withhold an invite to keep their liability insurance costs down.

Difference is that Palmer was active and winning on Senior Tour. He won a Senior USOpen in 1980 and another Senior major in 1984.

When was the last time Tiger made a cut?

Well he is 77 so it should be over, but I think he could take Tiger heads up.
It's really hard to fathom how he can't find a fairway.  I mean, how can his timing be that far off? I really don't get it.  I hit every fairway but 2 the other day.  And I'm an 8. He's supposed to be a plus whatever

The only reason the Senior Tour came into existence is because people still wanted to see Palmer play.

Nicklaus had the right attitude IMO. "I  don't find it a challenge to play against the same guys I've beaten for 30 years."

Who knows what path Tiger takes? He's lived his entire life in a bubble yet has no center, no foundation. TWD has been around 8 years & has he finished any of the three courses he started? By his age Nicklaus had a dozen finished (including Harbor Town, Muirfield Village, Glen Abbey & Shoal Creek.)

Beyond the chronic injuries, fractured family, lousy play, what's his identity? It's not for any of us to say, but I cannot imagine how he answers that question. Because for 15 years the answer was best golfer ever at age XX.

My point was that at 53 Palmer could still put up a decent US Open number. Not contending but nothing to cause embarrassment.

Put today's Tiger on Bethpage Black or wherever the '18 USOpen is and the USGA might not be comfortable with the possible outcomes.

While Dubai hookers are supposedly the best in the world, Tiger probably should have held off making that trip until he was a bit more into his return.  Long flight couldn't have helped him.

He's gone from not being able to score well in 4 straight rounds to not being able to  play in 4 straight rounds.

 Not trending well.

It's been over for a long time but it's really just sad now.  Kind of wish he would move on.

Sooner than later as his body failing him is battling his ego. It will be a poop show as he faces off against in-their-prime talent that will grind him to dust. I made a $100 bet on him not winning a tourney and I regret not making it 500.

He hasn't been the same since he stopped banging IHOP waitresses, skanks, 2nd tier porn stars, and the occasional round with his ex wife. I think he knows what he should do.

Hard to believe that Fat Phil's going to have a more relevant career longer than Tiger.  He seemed like such a tank back in the day that I thought he'd compete until his 50's.  Oh well, I guess a 9 iron upside your head by your insanely hot swedish wife really jacks up a guys ####.

How many cuts will Tiger Woods make during 2017 calendar year? (minimum playing field of 100)

Cancelling press conferences now on doctor's orders.   He must have reinjured the back pretty bad.

Masters looking like a long shot start ATM.
