Fake newsIt'd have been really cool if someone had predicted this like 8 years ago...
This will be the last year that Tiger is exempt to play in the US Open. I bet he misses as many as he plays from here on out.
He also does not meet the criteria to play in this year's PGA, but they reserve the right to invite anyone, so he will no doubt play in that tourney whenever he wants.
so he is not exempt for the 2018 US Open.![]()
Here are how the exemptions work for past champions.
Masters: Lifetime
US Open: 10 years
British Open: Until age 60
PGA Championship: Lifetime
His exemption at The PLAYERS is up next year.
Been over for some time..zoonation said:It's over folks. GOAT but stick a fork in him.
if he plays they will still get the suckers to bet on him. I bet they set it at something ridiculous like 50-1.Oof. Wait - better odds for the Masters!
Aren't there special sponsor exemptions if they want? or double secret probation exemptions. If they want him they will find a way to let him play...if he can play.BobbyLayne said:![]()

Palmer won his last major in 1964, his only US Open in 1960. He was granted a special exemption for every US Open until 1983 (53.) Nicklaus won his last of 4 US Opens in 1980 and his last major in 1986. He was granted his last special exemption in the US Open in 2000 (60.)Not for the us open
Well he is 77 so it should be over, but I think he could take Tiger heads up.zoonation said:It's over folks. GOAT but stick a fork in him.
The way he's spraying the ball, they may withhold an invite to keep their liability insurance costs down.Palmer won his last major in 1964, his only US Open in 1960. We're at least 15-20 (if not 25-30) years from a golf ruling body withholding an invite from Tiger Woods.
Difference is that Palmer was active and winning on Senior Tour. He won a Senior USOpen in 1980 and another Senior major in 1984.Palmer won his last major in 1964, his only US Open in 1960. It's really hard to fathom how he can't find a fairway. I mean, how can his timing be that far off? I really don't get it. I hit every fairway but 2 the other day. And I'm an 8. He's supposed to be a plus whateverWell he is 77 so it should be over, but I think he could take Tiger heads up.
About 30 years. How long does he wait to be part of the ceremonial tee shot at the Masters?

When was the last time Tiger made a cut?
Given that he has no shot at winning, if he plays this year it will be a ceremonial tee shot. How long does he wait to be part of the ceremonial tee shot at the Masters?
Sooner than later as his body failing him is battling his ego. It will be a poop show as he faces off against in-their-prime talent that will grind him to dust. I made a $100 bet on him not winning a tourney and I regret not making it 500.He's gone from not being able to score well in 4 straight rounds to not being able to play in 4 straight rounds.
Not trending well.
It's been over for a long time but it's really just sad now. Kind of wish he would move on.

yep.getting paid is the tough part.
Yep. It's been obvious for a while, but some refuse to let go. Back surgery is never good, and he's had three. I wouldn't wish three back surgeries on anybody.http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/09/golf/tiger-woods-never-feel-great/index.html
Lock it up. You can see it in his eyes, he's done
cstu thinks there's no rush to settle the bets here.Time to settle up some bets in here. Have some honor boys.
