It seems like NFL players are getting more and more aggressive. They should set up some time of game for them to let out their aggression on each other, maybe on Sundays or something.

It's just as well. Fantasy football shouldn't exist anyway, because it is gambling and gambling is a sin, and anything to do with fantasies is a sin, and taking any time away from your work to think about or talk about fantasy football is a sin. Enjoying performers and entertainers (NFL and all sports, movies, plays, music, anything) if we know they don't lead perfect lives is a sin. Stop sinning, all you sinners!

Commissioner lying about covering up a domestic violence case, owner accused of sexual assault, star player indicted for child endangerment, leading WR out for the season for smoking dope, dopey WR out for 4 games for having too much fun at the track...it been a hell of a few weeks.

From a completely callus paying not attention to the human element and entirely on fantasy football (this is still a fantasy football board, right?) it just seems like such a pain in the ### time in fantasy football.
Having a Thursday night game every week screws with waiver wire and lineup decisions, coach's seem more evasive than ever about injury news, and now we need to study a players drug history, friends, pastimes, and anger issues when drafting them.

The stuff that's been going on has made me think of quitting FF. I feel like I just don't want to care about these guys in any way anymore.
It's highly likely the scum balls aren't representative of the overall NFL player/owner/management population to a much greater extent than they are in other areas of life, but then again, I don't choose to spend much time, energy or focus on the scum balls in the general population either. With FF it's getting harder and harder to avoid.
Maybe it's always been like this in terms of proportion of reprehensible behavior, the increase in media exposure has just given more outlets for awareness than in the past. But it's still grating and somewhat depressing to have this seemingly continuous feed of horrible actions by these guys.

Holy crap! I don't even get this emotional when it is that time of the month. Usually during that time too I will watch The Notebook, eat a bowl of ice cream and have to wear a pair of sweat pants while doing it. Seriously, man up!

I kind of doubt that the players are any worse than they were in the 80's and 90's. THe difference is the advent of instant media analysis and reporting.
Things like drug use and spousal abuse likely wouldn't have even been covered. The things that Adrian Peterson is being charged with may have never even warranted a phone call to the police.
It sucks that there are so many things like this happening, and all of them are very serious in their own right...but the truth is, these problems have always been evident. We just see them now.

Edited to add that I do not condone what many have done. Just saying people who throw stones often have their own skeletons.

People are people. We do a lot of F'd up stuff and have since the beginning of time.
But I guess it's cool to point the finger at everybody else to feel better about yourself or for some other reason.

I think we are starting to see the tipping point. I'm so disgusted with the NFL right now that It's actually starting to affect my interest in the sport. Never in a million years did I think I'd say that. Its just gotten way too hard to root for guys that are child abusers, wife beaters, serial killers....
I love the sport but I'm starting to really hate the people who play it and the owners who run it. Anyone else experiencing this?
