One thing nfl coaches consistently do wrong is kick the extra point when they're up 15. They all do it.  Yes you force the opponent to get both touchdowns and both extra points to tie but being up 15, they will go for two then go for the kick almost every single time. Being up 17 though makes it a three possession game which is massively more valuable. It's a losing mentality.
