Young and Hall are ahead of him. Pittman is shown as a fullback on the depth chart.Hope he is OK...interesting, I did not know he was third on the depth chart (not that it matters so much in the Land of Skeletor). I am guessing Young and Pittman are ahead of him? Or is it Hall?
Latest depth chart has Young then Hall...subject to change by the minute, of course...Hope he is OK...interesting, I did not know he was third on the depth chart (not that it matters so much in the Land of Skeletor). I am guessing Young and Pittman are ahead of him? Or is it Hall?
Thanks. I went to NFL.com and they had Pittman listed as an RB.Young and Hall are ahead of him. You might be right Chachi, but if anyone is in TD only leagues, this guy could be the goal line vulture. Young doesn't have quite the build to be a goal line back, but Torain might fit the bill just fine. One of my 3 leagues is a TD only league. I am targeting Torain as a flyer in the middle rounds of that league.Lis Franc Torrian hurt again, say it ain't so.Most over hyped RB this year, and it's not even close. The guy won't even get 50 carries on the year.
You just using height and weight for this or something else? Just curious. You might be right Chachi, but if anyone is in TD only leagues, this guy could be the goal line vulture. That plus I heard Cecil Lammey report on 104.3 the Fan last night that it could be a distinct possibility. Lammey is covering Bronco training camp, there may be mention of this in one of his threads or one of the Bronco threads, I haven't checked though. You just using height and weight for this or something else? You should be happy that people draft these guys instead of patting yourselves on the back when people get hurt.

And the lost time is worse for a rookie than it would be for a vet.6-8 weeks broken elbow is the early report

I don't see this amounting to much in terms of goal line touchesThis should be good news for Anthony 'Quick Six' Alridge
- Anthony Alridge had quite the day as well. It started early on in practice when he caught a screen pass and grabbed a quick first down past the defense. Then during the goal-line drill, it was 185-pound Alridge who stuck his head in the middle of the pack and forced his way into the endzone for the first touchdown. Two series later, Alridge caught a pass from Jay Cutler and sprinted his way to the front corner of the endzone for his second touchdown of the drill.
Twice during practice Alridge caught a quick pass and bounced outside before the defense even knew what hit them. He had nothing but green ahead of him except for rookie Jack Williams both times, and twice after a few moves Williams made the great open-field tackle.

The move of Pittman to FB was to find a way to potentially get him on the field more often.Considering it was Torain and not Hall who was getting a few first team reps (despite the depth chart listing young/hall/torain) the injury, imo, kicks the door wide open for Pittman to be the "other" back. I like the chances of Pittman to serve as the #2 and hold that spot this year. His age put him at a disadvantage in camps as the long term prospects were certainly not to his advantage.
IIRC this comment was either from last season or early in the offseason, prior to Young bulking up.The move of Pittman to FB was to find a way to potentially get him on the field more often.Considering it was Torain and not Hall who was getting a few first team reps (despite the depth chart listing young/hall/torain) the injury, imo, kicks the door wide open for Pittman to be the "other" back. Shanahan had mentioned that Young was not a 20-25 carry back. He saw him as a 15 carry back who gets plenty of (lesser wear) pass catching chances. He had 23 catches in his 8 starts as qa rookie last year.
He is listed as 215lbs in his FBG profile. Is that his playing weight from last year or his new bulked up weight?IIRC this comment was either from last season or early in the offseason, prior to Young bulking up.The move of Pittman to FB was to find a way to potentially get him on the field more often.Considering it was Torain and not Hall who was getting a few first team reps (despite the depth chart listing young/hall/torain) the injury, imo, kicks the door wide open for Pittman to be the "other" back. Yes. It was early offseason. Though I suspect 260 touches in 14 games would be more then plenty.IIRC this comment was either from last season or early in the offseason, prior to Young bulking up.The move of Pittman to FB was to find a way to potentially get him on the field more often.Considering it was Torain and not Hall who was getting a few first team reps (despite the depth chart listing young/hall/torain) the injury, imo, kicks the door wide open for Pittman to be the "other" back. 207 from camps in '07. He has was down about 5 lbs at the end also. **As far as I know.He is listed as 215lbs in his FBG profile. Yes. But who is the next guy......just in case :XIs it impossible that Selvin Young is the guy and we just don't want to believe?
6-12 now. The Denver Post reports Broncos fifth-round draft pick RB Ryan Torain fractured his elbow during Wednesday's practice when he braced his fall by extending his left hand to the ground. As his elbow overextended, bone fragments chipped off, an injury that will sideline him anywhere from six weeks to three months. Torain had an MRI on Wednesday afternoon and has surgery scheduled for Friday. "It's a big loss," HC Mike Shanahan said. "I thought he had a chance to compete to be the starting running back." Torain missed much of his senior season at Arizona State with a broken toe, a big reason the Broncos got him with the 139th pick.ConfirmedBroken Elbow 6-8 Weeks6-8 weeks broken elbow is the early report
