casually as I do other stuff. Really not that interestingAnybody watching this?
how did they give up a goal?Just finished watching. i guess no one getting hurt is all I got out of it.
Fifa thinks this is competition I guess. I wonder how many U20 teams in the world would beat NC? Oceania should never have more than one team in any competition. I don’t care about fairness, these type of games help no one.
I was surprised at the crowd size on tv as these youth tournaments don’t draw flies outside of the host but then I read the box score and it said only 2000 for attendance. Either my eyes suck or that was a mistake.
You can find it in the feed from your earlier link. Goalie pretty much passed it directly to their striker inside the box.how did they give up a goal?
Lmao... GK had 3 US players open for a pass left right and center, chose to pass directly to the NC forward instead. Pretty spectacular. You can find it in the feed from your earlier link. Goalie pretty much passed it directly to their striker inside the box.how did they give up a goal?

Definitely bizarre. It's not even like the guy jumped a passing lane. He was just sort of stationary there and the ball goes straight to him. Good story for him to tell his kids one day I guess.Goalie was in on the fix!Lmao... GK had 3 US players open for a pass left right and center, chose to pass directly to the NC forward instead. During the game they showed a slow motion replay from the angle behind the net. It looked like he scuffed the kick with his left foot.Definitely bizarre. That was my thought too. And likely the only goal they score.Definitely bizarre. It's not even like the guy jumped a passing lane. I think he started over the weekend...but either way, nice to see him backAgyemang gets his first start today for Derby.
I think it may have been first start at home.I think he started over the weekend...but either way, nice to see him backAgyemang gets his first start today for Derby.
I know we joke about it a lot but Musah's goal contribution is insanely low for his position.Musah gets assist on late game winning goal in Champions League
Not yet.Anyone get selected for the visa pre-sale? Guess I didn't.
Seems like this is even more of a !@#$show than I expected...and I expected it to be pretty bad. They got something like 50m applications (likely, mostly from ticket brokers), so only a tiny fraction were selected. And it sounds like those who were selected and given an October 1 time slot are unable to purchase because the site isn't working properly. Not yet.Anyone get selected for the visa pre-sale? Dont know if that means Im out now, or still in the running.
my guess is that every one already knows who is getting picked and who the alternates are. They may wait until Sunday to release the actual roster to filter out any one who gets hurt or picks up a knock this week.when are the selections for the next window?
do we think Poch is going to bring in Tessman and Morris? Gio? spots are shrinking for Luna, IMO, who still deserves to be in the mix. better not be no Sebb.
up front- Balo, Pepi and... Ag? is he done with Sarge?
outside of Richards and Ream, who else at CB given a 3 man back line? Makenzie? Banks? Miles? CCV?
and FB outside of Dest and Jedi? Freeman and Arf seem to be his favorites. I'm hoping to see Scally here- and he can double duty at CB as needed.
GKs... I guess Freeze is locked in unfortunately. Turner and ?
who else?

the thing about "experimenting"... he never really looked properly at Tessman and Morris over the last year (iirc). so... they never got an experimental run. but NOW they have a chance at getting included? am I misremembering ?my guess is that every one already knows who is getting picked and who the alternates are. It is going to be a very interesting roster if we are to believe that Poch is done experimenting.

Both were called into Poch's first camp. Morris started the first game Poch ever coached. Morris was then dropped for the Nations League roster. Poch chose Tessman for that. Then neither made the Gold Cup roster. I certainly hope USSoccer is watching them, but they have been in camps for Poch. And have been in previous camps before Poch. Neither has ever really looked great at the senior national team level. Players improve, but it's also true that whatever we think of him, a guy like Roldan has come into camps and won the trust of Berhalter and now Poch.the thing about "experimenting"... he never really looked properly at Tessman and Morris over the last year (iirc). so... they never got an experimental run. but NOW they have a chance at getting included? am I misremembering ?my guess is that every one already knows who is getting picked and who the alternates are. I recall seeing Poch say recently he was going to leave guys at their MLS teams if they were in afight for post season....kinda rememebr Freeman being the main one. But Roldan could be too. And ldlt.Pulisic, Balogun, Pepi, Weah, Zendejas, Adams, Roldan, Richards, Ream, Dest, Jedi, Freeman, Arfsten, Freese, McKennie, McKenzie, Tillman
That's 17 players that I feel fairly confident would be called up. Leaving six spots. I think Wright and Scally make a lot of sense considering their versatility. Luna has probably earned a spot as well, even if I think he's now behind Zendejas in the pecking order.
That leaves at least one backup GK. Probably two. I think Schulte is probably in second place right now. So it's either one or two of the following MFs for me. Morris, Tessman, Johnny, Sebb, McGlynn. I think we've seen enough of Sebb's limitations so as to exclude him at this point. We could say that of McGlynn too, but his left foot and long distance shooting are just unique skill-sets in the pool. So I wouldn't be totally shocked to see him make it over of the three more natural choices at CM (I think Musah and Gio are both out until they affirmatively play their way in).
I could be wrong about Roldan, but I honestly think he's ahead of those other guys with Poch right now. Poch liked Sebb as a glue guy and Roldan is a better glue guy than Sebb.
Nope and nopeDid either Pepi or Dest even dress yesterday? If not, I assume that could put them in doubt for being called up for the October friendlies.
$399 for the right to buy a random non-US LA game. Fwiw, Johnnys injured too.Guess he called 26. No Adams, which I guess makes sense if he really wants to give Morris and Tessman a real second look. No Johnny. Still no Scally, which puzzles me as I think he's a real solution in a 3-man back line. Most costly golf cart donut ever.
Wright and Big Pat in. No Sargent. At this point, I'm not sure we can really complain. They're better fits for what Poch wants to do.
Dest and Pepi's injuries leave them out I guess.
If you're going to play 3 CDs (which it certainly looks like with the amount of CDs called in) with wingbacks, do you really need Scally (if Dest is healthy) especially if Weah can slot in there? One of the big things this roster shows is he's still not satisfied with his CMs.Guess he called 26. Scally has played CB and both FBs. The idea is that Scally would play as one of the 3 CBs in a situation where the US is playing against a bunkered opposition. If you're going to play 3 CDs (which it certainly looks like with the amount of CDs called in) with wingbacks, do you really need Scally (if Dest is healthy) especially if Weah can slot in there? I'd be interested to know if Scally has contacted Poch behind the scenes to try to get back into his good graces. Might be exactly what Poch wants, as a way of the players demonstrating how badly they want to be on the team. It's travel ball 101 stuff, but it's a way to show passion.Scally has played CB and both FBs.
