Week 13 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Happy thanksgiving bros .. got a TEP start/sit for you guys.

Njoku @ DEN

Rhamondre v IND

And if I can sneak in a bonus ask here - who would you rather roster:

Jordan Mason or Kimani Vidal

Currently own Mason, non CMC owner. Feels like Vidal could be a “big deal” ROS … Gus Edwards is, Gus Edwards. Vidal is (on paper) a Blake Corum “clone” - Harbaugh may love this kid if he hits.

Thanks dudes
I personally go with Rhamondre because of the matchup and he gets a significant opportunity share.

I don't know what to think about Vidal as a player but I guess he's closer.to relevance than Mason ATM. The problem with questions like this is the answer is entirely dependant on the status of the guys in front. And that is entirely unpredictable.

Ok guys, I got one more,... Mhj or dhop? Full ppr
Probably MHJ, it's a good matchup and, I want to say the Chiefs will win easy but they never win easy anymore. They thrive on winning as ugly as possible.

Still I think the Chiefs are more likely to win than the Cardinals so I think the Cardinals will end up passing more.

Alright boys…crunch time and I need a very good QB day…typical scoring:

Hurts @ BALT
Daniels v TENN
Hurts by a mile. Daniels has seemingly hit a wall and the Eagles are playing like a legitimate Super Bowl contender. They also have a much better matchup.

I have a Taysom Hill question. For week 14, is it better to play Taysom at TE or at QB? I have Nix on a bye next week but can pick up Taysom if Dobbins goes to IR and play him at QB. Is that the play? I can pick up Stafford vs vs Buff or Levis vs Jax. Thanks.

I mean .. Stafford is a much, much more stable option so it really depends on 1) what you are looking for with that move (high variance) and 2) what will it cost you to get Stafford.

Personally I go with Stafford for sure.

In a hole already thanks to Lamb stinking and Dallas D and Jonnu Smith blowing up.

.5 PPR 6 pt all TDs

Pick one each TIA!

QB Herbert versus Atlanta, Nix versus Cleveland or Stafford versus New Orleans

WR Garret Wilson versus Seattle or Ridley versus Washington

TE Taysom Hill versus LA or Otton versus Carolina

Benched Goff thinking DET would run all day on Thanksgiving to make room for Turducken. So need 2 QB's:

Levis @WAS
Carr vs LAR
Young vs TB
Winston @ DEN

Don't really trust any of them. Levis would at least allow me to cheer for my real team but may also make a loss even worse.

Bonus for 40+ & 50+ yd TD, also 300 passing yds (400 passing yds also bit figure thats irrelevant).

Thanks in advance.

TE, get Stafford for QB.

Purdy or Carr?
Which way are you leaning and why? What do you see as pros and cons of each guy?
I’m leaning Carr because of Purdy s recent injury. But if Purdy is throwing and is not hampered by doing so, then I prefer him as the better fantasy option obviously. I’d rather have a 100% Carr over a 70% Purdy. The million dollar question is how healthy is Purdy?

.5ppr, need to pick two:

George Pickens vs Cinci
Terry McLauren vs Tennessee
DK Metcalf vs NYJ
Brian Thomas Jr vs Houston

Currently ranking them as listed, but keep flipping DK and TMC...

Stafford IMO. That offense runs through him and it's a fine matchup. If you're not feeling that I give Nix a shot at home. He's a hot hand, in a good matchup and he has solid mobility.

I'll go with Garrett Wilson as I am more confident he will see 8+ targets and I still prefer his QB

Since you need a big game I would risk it with Hill. The Otton experiment, took a big confidence hit last week.

Wait. Where is the list of QBs?

Well, Winston is @ DEN BTW, I start Carr for sure. He's just the best of your mid options.

Even though I don't like the matchup I probably go with Winston. He's just physically so much more talented than Young or Levis. The Browns also seem to be content running the offense through him. I think they're trying to decide if they want to keep him next year.

Young is playing well and it's a good matchup but I still think he's low ceiling.

And I don't have confidence that Levis last was anything but a mirage.

Purdy or Carr?
Is Trent Williams playing? Even if he is the Bills defensive strength is against the pass. I may risk it with Carr.

But, Purdy is probably the "smart" choice.

ETA: @JohnnyU looks like Williams is out as is starting guard Aaron Banks.

I'd go with Carr.

I probably rank them similarly. Both DK & McLaurin have very tough matchups. Thomas's isn't much better.

So, yes I probably agree with your rankings.

Ha, yeah.... & thanks, fixed on the GB/DEN error.

pick 2 - full PPR with bonus for plays over 40 and games over 100
  1. Jennings @ BUF
  2. Dell v JAX
  3. MHJ @ MIN
  4. Warren @ CIN
1 - Purdy practiced in full Friday, but we're looking at a foot of snow prior to Sunday night. Who knows with lake effect, but should be light flurries during the game. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Dicey, but I do like Jennings role in this offense with Brock back in the lineup.

2 - Such a disappointing year for the Texans passing offense, and Dell isn't the same guy he was a year ago. Maybe 2 years removed from the injury he'll get back to where he was. Terrific matchup, Jags give up the 3rd most points to WRs in full PPR.

3 - Hello disappointment my old friend. General rule of thumb, games vs teams that play more man tend to favor McBride, matchups vs teams that play more zone tend to be Harrison games. Nobody plays more zone than the Vikings. Hard to trust him though, just doesn't seem to click with Kyler most weeks.

4 - not a good matchup in terms of CIN has been OKish vs the run (horrible D overall), but Jaylen has been coming on the last several weeks. Still, I rate him and Najee low end options this week.

Additional info - was a big dog, now favored (67% win probability) halfway through the matchup, we've each played 5 and have 5 left. Don't need a HR or boom/bust, probably more important to have a good floor. **I think**

What do you guys think?

FWIW I went against the advice given here earlier this week for the Thursday games.

@need2know was the only other person besides myself that thought Jayden Reed was the play.

:hifive:

Opions welcomed;

It's grim folks.
RB T Spears, B Rob, Bigsby need one
WR Higgins, JSN, JJ, Shakir, gotta bencch one. PPR
It's all prety close, but thought I'd put it out there.

TIA

Purdy may be back but Trent Williams and Aaron Banks are out. That's a lot of protection lost against the strength of the Bills D.

I would go with MHJ because of the matchup a.d Jaylen Warren because of the same. I guess the Bengals may be tougher against RBs but they're not good against the run and they give up a bunch of points

And good job on Reed.

Hill presents a bigger risk I think. He can disappear for weeks. Otton seems consistent, I chose him over Andrews.

PPR? Matchups?

Probably Brian Robinson at RB because I trust his usage a little more.

I probably bench Shakir because of the lack of TDs. I can see an argument for positive TD progression but don't want to rely on it.

I can't argue with that.

Can you count on Dell? Jennings with no Trent Williams or Aaron Banks?

Full PPR
3rd WR/TE (same position for us)

Terry McLaurin vs Titans (3rd vs WR)
Taysom Hill vs Rams (25th vs TE)
TJ Hockenson vs Cardinals (7th vs TE)

ESPN is currently projecting me to win 143.2 to 120.6. I think Hockenson has the safest floor. When you look up Boom/Bust in the dictionary, Taysom Hills's picture is there. But I do get the feeling the Saints plan to lean into him for the rest of the year, particularly with Olave and Shaheed sidelined.

I agree with your assessment about Hockenson. And he has some upside too for sure. Dude can make plays.

Not sure I want to ride the Taysom Hill train unless you need a monster.

McLaurin, IMO, is the best player and, this season is in particular is a one play game changer. It's a tough matchup but I still might roll him out first.

I would go with your gut here. Hock for the floor, Hill for the ceiling.

With you being favored, I agree with your assessment. TJ looks great. I’d put him just ahead of Terry. If your projection was reversed, I might go Hill.

One last one and it’s a nice problem to have but…
Can only use one. .5 PPR

Already used Achane and I’m in a hole.

Chase Browne
Jonathan Taylor
Kenneth Walker

As of of now, Browne is in due to superior QB and the other two being mired in mediocrity lately…
TIA!

I think your probably right. Not only does he have a good QB, but it's the highest scoring offense and Brown probably has the most stable opportunity floor.

Biggest issue is he has the word matchup by a good margin. If you're inclined to pivot last minute I would go with Walker as the next option.

D question. More specifically, which one to stash for next week:

* TN D vs JAX -- The better real life D of the two options here for sure. T. Lawrence back this week, but who knows next week.

or

* NO @NYG -- NOs doesn't do much on D, but the opponent usually makes it easy on the offense. Lock has some juice but threw a pick 6 and was sacked 6 times by Dallas. Maybe they go back to Devito. Who knows.

Which?

Thanks

Standard scoring

Need 1 from following

Hall/Allen vs Seahawks
G.Edwards @ Falcons
DK Metcalf @Jets
C.Brown vs Steelers

Also which TE

T.Hill vs Rams
Otton @ Panthers

Thanks
