No way. I dont care what he says. He might have a high ankle sprain and is getting an mri tomorrow. He sounds like he’ll be ready for the next game from his comments after the game.Any guesses on how long he's out?

The fact he wasn't helped off, wasn't carted off, and tried to return to the game, suggests its not gonna be too long an absence. I'd put the over/under on week 5.No way. I dont care what he says. Players get a MRI almost every time they get hurt and can't return. It doesn't mean anything until they announce the results. It looked bad…..gettting MRI doesn’t seem good
I thought it looked awful and I can't believe they put him back in the game. Borderline irresponsible IMO but I assume he passed the locker room testsThis is why I rarely draft Dallas Cowboys in fantasy - insult to injury.
It really didn't look that severe and I was surprised he was out the entire game. I remember listening to Tom Brady, during the broadcast, act like it wasn't a big deal (like the Cowboys have a surplus of gamebreakers). When Jake Ferguson is seeing 14 targets a game... we have a problem.
Also, not loving the Pickens signing...
Exactly. If he couldn't play yesterday hes not playing next week. Most would agree that the day after an injury, or surgery for that matter, is where the full scope of pain and debilitation hits.
Right after an injury you've got endorphins, adrenaline, denial, plus the will to win, not to mention the responsibility to show everyone that despite the size of the $ bag, he's doing everything he can.
I think 3-4 weeks min.
That's where I'm at too. I would bet against him playing next week, but even then, he could have a grade 1 sprain. I think people sometimes see an injury happen and assume the worst, even if the optics around it say it shouldn't be THAT bad. Lamb came back in, didn't feel right and left again. That sucks, but it also shows that its not a serious injury. He wasn't helped off, he wasn't carted off, hell he didn't even change into street clothes, like someone like Kittle did. He was consistently walking (and jogging) on the sidelines.
When I was younger I stepped off a curb and twisted my ankle so bad I was certain I broke it.That's where I'm at too. Week 5 feels like a very realistic timeline, barring something really out of nowhere.
ETA: Now how effective he'll be, is probably another conversation.

In 2 weeks I was right as rain. Sometimes stuff looks way worse than it turns out to be. Human body is amazing.
I agree he might miss a week. I’ll wait for official reports before I panic. I get Addison back in my Lamb league but might roll out Hunter Henry since it’s TEP.

How many times have I been playing basketball and thought the same thing? After sitting for five minutes was back out there hooping.
Yeah definitely dont quit your day jobDISCLAIMER: I’m not a doctor and I haven’t physically assessed CeeDee. In other words, I dunno jack and am not pretending to.
Watching the replay, it didn’t look like any more than a run-of-the-mill sprained ankle. It was ugly watching his ankle flex out the way it did, but it wasn’t typical of a HAS.
When they did the close up of his swollen ankle, it looked like the bruising was in a pattern that didn’t suggest a HAS. But it was right after the injury, so not really something to hang your hat on.
MRIs are standard. X-rays had to be negative for the trainers to let him try and come back, so def no Lis Franc injury.
Rough ankle spraim, but with the trainers he has and the physical shape he is in, I expect him to at least try and play next week.
EDIT: should’ve looked at updates. Slo-mo replay does show his foot externally rotated while planted, so it could def be a HAS. Some early reports out if DAL are the it IS one.

Pro Bowl wide receiver CeeDee Lamb could miss 3-4 weeks with a high left ankle sprain suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Chicago Bears, according to a source.

[Rapoport] The #Cowboys do not plan to place WR CeeDee Lamb on IR with his high-ankle sprain, source said, giving him a chance to return prior to four weeks. He'll miss at least the next two games and is considered week-to-week after that.
The guy had 14 targets in the game where CeeDee was almost completely inactive... yeah, I would say Ferguson gets a boost but he won't see the endzone. So who on Dallas benefits the most here ? Pickens will obviously get more defensive attention. Probabaly have a meltdown on the sidelines as a result. LOL.Turpin got hurt also, didn't he ? Ferguson seems like an obvious beneficiary.
Obviously my first thought and I still think I feel this way, but I wonder if a more run heavy game plan benefits Williams a little.
I would fade all the Cowboys players because this offense has officially hit rock bottom, if Lamb misses extended time.
And they'll probably be 1-6, 1-7 at that point tooHigh Ankle Sprains are tricky.....you rush back you can easily injure it again and be done for the season.
He will be out 3-4 weeks easy and they get round the clock top of the line treatment. He will not bear any weight on it for at least 2 weeks minimum. I think being he is a world class athlete who is only 26, playing on an NFL team with the very best rehab care available 4 weeks is highly realistic to be out for a high ankle sprain.
My Ferguson investments are paying off handsomely in PPR.The guy had 14 targets in the game where CeeDee was almost completely inactive... yeah, I would say Ferguson gets a boost but he won't see the endzone. So who on Dallas benefits the most here ? Dallas just doesn't have the defense to grind out games. It's hard to see Javonta Williams producing without any downfield offense.Obviously my first thought and I still think I feel this way, but I wonder if a more run heavy game plan benefits Williams a little.

Jerry Jones said the Cowboys will consider placing WR CeeDee Lamb and RG Tyler Booker on IR. He said they will miss, "games." IR means the player misses 4 games. “We’re looking at that,” Jones said. “We’ll watch it a few more days. We don’t have to decide right now.”
I seriously watch Jerry’s press conferences for comedy at this point. It’s kind of sad, but funny at the same time. I guess if we are lucky we will all be like Jerry as we age.Todd Archer

Very on brand for Brian Schottenheimer, taking one of the best WRs in the NFL and making him play running back.Whoever decided to let him play RB needs his *** kicked
Why doesn't Lamar Jackson play on special teams?Blaming the coach for the injury is pointless. It could have happened on any play where he was being tackled.
In fact, CeeDee has been highly efficient on them kind of plays in the past but nobody was screaming then. It's a moot point, imo.
Agree here. Dumb to play him at RB and you cant tell me there isnt a difference between RB and WR. Injury could happen anywhere, sure but... we can at least agree that was some dumb *** ****.Why doesn't Lamar Jackson play on special teams?Blaming the coach for the injury is pointless. How many times has he lined up at rb and taken a handoff in the nfl?fact, CeeDee has been highly efficient on them kind of plays in the past but nobody was screaming then. I

Same boat with Worthy and Lamb. Also Burrow and Conner for me…off to a great start in that league.5 I believe…How many times has he lined up at rb and taken a handoff in the nfl?fact, CeeDee has been highly efficient on them kind of plays in the past but nobody was screaming then. I
And this is three weeks in a row I’ve had a WR injured first time they touch ball getting zero points on top of it. Not that anyone should care…
What are the odds one gets blown up by his own guy (Worthy) another catches a TD that’s called back and breaks his collarbone and the third takes a handoff as a halfback and gets rolled?
Isn’t fantasy fun?
