WR CeeDee Lamb, DAL (6 Viewers)

In true Cowboys fanboy fashion... I just traded Najee Harris for CeeDee Lamb in redraft. Pre-injury? No... post injury. I was a little tuned up and regret is kicking in, but if Cooper Rush can somehow keep this team afloat and Dak doesn't get tossed onto the IR... it could pay off.
That’s a great sell high for Najee.
Or you could say that was a dumb sell low on Lamb. Probably one of the dumbest trades I ever heard of to be honest.
As a Lamb dynasty shareholder you’d have to kidnap my dogs & offer me that deal under duress. And i still might reject it.

Good lord that’s awful for about 37 different reasons.

What would CD command in a trade in a 1 ppr league now that he's hurt and Dak is out. I'm thinking about sending out offers to move him. I think the Dallas season is over and how hard is he really going to try and stay on the field if they're not competitive in games.
Dynasty or redraft?

I roster him in dynasty on a team that is underperforming, so I’m fine with him being out for a while for me to remain low in the standings. I’m not accepting any trade offers that aren’t a Uber Stud PLUS a high pick, and that ain’t happening in that league I’m in.

ETA: high pick = high 1st rounder

Woke up yesterday morning to the trade offer... snap accepted, because I didn't want the Lamb owner to come to his senses. It is a keeper (3) league and Najee's salary was cheap enough to make him a keeper option next year but I have Kyren Williams, Jonathon Taylor and Breece Hall... Mike Evans/Marvin Harrison Jr are my WRs - I welcome a guy I can plug into my lineup for a guaranteed 15 ppg.

In the other owners defense... it is a .5 point per rush and a full point per reception but still.

I sold high on Najee and bought low on CeeDee... the perfect storm does exist. Jaylen Warren's presence scares me and has always scared me... I don't care who is throwing Lamb the ball, I'm buying.

CeeDee Lamb stats in Cooper Rush's last 5 starts (all in 2022):
- 5 rec, 68 yds (10 targets) (vs. PHI)
- 5 rec, 53 yds (8 targets) (vs. LAR)
- 6 rec, 97 yds, 1 TD (8 targets) (vs. WAS)
- 8 rec, 87 yds, 1 TD (12 targets) (vs. NYG)
- 7 rec, 75 yds (11 targets) (vs. CIN)
That's not bad, but Lamb's ceiling is definitely limited.

Not a great defense. He should have offered Lamb for Najee+MHJ

Still wouldn’t be a great return but it’d be closer.

Just got this dude and I'm more concerned about the QB play here than his AC joint. Would you trade for Chase straight up in a PPR league? I might be able to do that...

Oh for sure! I've been offered Hill for Lamb but seeing if he will throw in Jacobs or Mixon LOL

So what is Lamb's injury status ? Is he day to day with a chance to play or he's playing day to day with a chance of being out this weekend ? ;-)

I am in the middle of trade talks of acquiring Lamb and Pacheco for Jayden Reed and Chase Brown.

Normally I would say yes but after seeing how horrendous that Cowboys passing game was yesterday and I am reluctant to say the least. He got a ton of targets but that production was so poor.

Thoughts on going after Lamb?

With a dynamic duo of QBs like Cooper Rush and Trey Lance, what could possibly go wrong?

In my redraft league I am thinking about sending him to the bench.

I wouldn't personally bother. The name alone distorts his value beyond what is likely reasonable. As with all trades, it depends on respective rosters.

He quit
The whole team quit
McCarthy should quit
Jerry should quit
I think the mascot did quit
And they need to return the title "America's Team" back to it's original owners - The Green Bay Packers.

It was a title that never should have been bestowed to them in the first place by, of all people, a DAL cowboys announcer (of course).

Always fun to have a Saturday injury note pop up.

Questionable with a back injury that happened during 7on 7’s.

McCarthy said he’s not concerned about it.

Monday night game makes it tricky.

If you have better options and need a safe floor it may be wise. Not sure I love anyone but Ferguson to replace his output.

Ugh. I may just roll with him and hope. No appealing DAL/HOU WR or flex options in either league where I have him, although I picked up Cade Stover in one as an emergency flex play in one of them.

I could start JSN in his place in both leagues. So at least I have till 3:00 to hear some news. Also could pick up Ferguson in one. Which would be a decent enough plan but don’t want to drop a running back like Allgier or Benson or Spears as I need them next week due to byes.

I’m assuming no more news or cryptic Schefter tweets?

I think I’m keeping JSN out of my lineup and rolling with Lamb on both my teams.

Have Ferguson on one squad to replace him and the other I could drop a bench player if need be for Tolbert or a Houston pass catcher.

I need to decide between Lamb and Ladd McConkey who plays against CIN tonight. If I'm in the leading heading into Monday, I may play McConkey to take the safe points. If it looks like I will be behind, I may need to roll with Lamb. Seem like a good idea?

Hope you played the Mad Ladd.

Interesting data here, but mainly posting due to Lamb playing @PHI in the week 17 fantasy championship week.

Fantasy Defense Matchup Rankings by Position

Every team is ranked vs every position. So a total of 128 total data points. Negative numbers represent good defenses, i.e., bad fantasy matchups, and positive numbers represent good matchups.

The second lowest data point of any team vs any position is -7.6.
The lowest data point is -17.4, meaning Philadelphia's defense versus WR's is the toughest defensive matchup of any team versus any position, by an insane margin.

Is this even believable? Note that this is cumulative, the sum off all WR's on the team, not individual WR's.

Not sure how they came up with their data and analysis. In my 1 PPR leagues on MFL, the PHI DEF is ranked 7th in fewest points allowed to WRs (after CHI, NYJ, DEN, TEN, MIA, and LVR).

CRAZY year considering the QB injury.

In 15 games, he had 101 receptions, 1194 yards, and 6 TD's.
17 game pace: 114 receptions, 1353 yards, 7 TD's.

Considering he had to catch balls from Cooper Rush most of the season, that's wild.
