Trade for Jimmy G? lol they're screwed either way with the OL injuries rn

Watched Rush throughout college; 4-year starter, he went to my alma mater. Limited upside, UDFA who needed development, been bouncing around for 5 years. His one and only start (last year) he played well vs the Vikings; Amari Cooper went 8-122-1 and Lamb 6-112, he ended up with 325 and 2 TDs.

Cam Newton is out there. Maybe talk Fitz out of retirement.

Fitz won't last long behind that OL. But I like him as a "Gun slinger" for the Offense .... It would revive Lamb's value.

Fitz already came out and said that there is no way he is coming back.

Tampa is also loaded when it comes to stopping where Lamb wins. They don't get beat inside much, and Dak didn't have time to do much downfield.

Lamb will still be a very good starting WR even if Rush is starting for the next 2 months. He's not a bad buy low if people are panicking. He's going to be among the target leaders in the NFL this season. His floor is probably going to be his 2021 numbers.

If Dak hadn't got hurt, I'd still have said top-5ish numbers were on the table, even with the OL issues.

Yeah, I'm still very hopeful. If those 9 incompletions were mostly bouncing off of his hands (I remember at least 1 that did), that would be horrible. But as far as I can remember, it was mostly throws into traffic and sometimes deflected, or overthrows. You want a guy who can get open so that traffic isn't a problem, but I'm hoping it was more on Tampa's defense.
 
Tampa bracketed Lamb the whole game, he did not really have any space.

After last year they were not going to allow him to roam free through their defensive backfield.

Last night they clamped down on him, it worked
 
Nobody could get open including Lamb. Every third and long Buccs would roll coverage to Lamb and force somebody else to beat them and nobody else did...


Now that Cooper Rush is starter, things are definitely worse. Not every team is Tampa Bay. He should average 10+ targets a game.


As Tolbert and Gallup get involved, it'll help out this cat. I avoided him but it's not all doom and gloom. They definitely are missing Amari Cooper.
 
I think it's going to be fine. He got a ton of targets. Tampa's secondary is elite.

Rush is obviously a huge downgrade from Dak. But Rush is still going to throw it to Lamb a lot.

But what does that mean production wise? Not being a smart *** but I’m trying to equate it with a situation in the NFL….is it a couple notches above Amari Cooper? Good player, couple good rbs, bad backup qb, no other threats on the offense. I think Lamb is definitely more talented so I’d bump him over Cooper but to what level? I don’t see top 20…probably between 20-30.

Fantasy production is all about talent and opportunity.

I think Lamb is an elite talent. The Cowboys don't have a ton of experienced pass catchers. He should still be a target monster. His efficiency won't be what it was with Dak. But he can still be productive.

I think Lamb>Cooper in terms of talent.. I also think Cleveland has an elite offensive line and two very good running backs. They're much more inclined to run the ball and eat the clock.

I would think Dallas is set to be playing from behind a lot in the near future, which will continue to drive the passing game. And while Lamb may be inefficient, he's definitely the guy there.
 
I have had Lamb since his rookie season and I just don't get the fantasy love for him. Don't get me wrong, he is very talented and has a lot of potential. The frustrating thing is it just stays right there as "potential". He hasn't been higher than 16 in my dynasty league (he has been WR16 & WR22) which isn't bad but nowhere near the hype the industry puts on him. Having watched him play it seems like he just disappears for large stretches of the game. He doesn't have the same presence as the top guys at the position. I am definitely ready to cut bait but I won't be giving him away.

They still have an amazing Defense. They should just grind out games and run the ball and play good D.
 
I own him on both my Dynasty teams and would be lying if I said this is where I thought he would be right now.
 

CeeDee Lamb caught 7-of-11 targets for 75 yards in the Cowboys' Week 2 win against the Bengals.​

Lamb now has 22 targets through two regular season games, but just 104 scoreless yards (11.5 yards per catch) to show for it. Cooper Rush targeted Lamb on a bulky 33.3 percent of his pass routes against the Bengals in what devolved into a conservative, run-heavy offense after a first quarter in which the Cowboys came out throwing aggressively against a middling Bengals defense. Lamb's target share should continue putting him in the WR2 conversation. Fantasy drafters who thought they were getting an alpha WR1 are going to need to come to grips with Lamb's limited upside in a misguided Cowboys offense with Rush at the helm. Lamb is certainly a top-24 option in Week 3 against the Giants.

CeeDee Lamb caught 8-of-12 targets for 87 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Giants Monday night.​

Lamb entered halftime with a 2/20 scoreless line and also committed a brutal drop on a perfect throw from Cooper Rush where Lamb was wide open. It went right through his hands and was a pass he catches 99% of the time. Lamb was able to redeem himself in the fourth quarter, taking over a drive, making a tough catch on fourth down to extend it, and then finishing it off with a one-handed one-yard touchdown on a fade to the corner. Lamb's 12 targets were five more than Noah Brown, and Lamb has now seen target counts of 11, 11, and 12 to open the year. Rush is also doing a great job of keeping him afloat in fantasy with Dak Prescott (thumb) sidelined. He's gone 7/75 and 8/87/1 with Rush the last two weeks. Lamb will be a WR2 for Week 4 against the Commanders.

Needed 27 out of him, came up a few short. But I was just very glad to see him make up for that horrible drop with a lot of nice catches later on. You start to worry when a guy has already had a 2 rec/11 tgt game and then that pass goes right through his hands. But he didn't let it get to him (too much) and made a very good game of it.

11 targets minimum in first 3 games. That much is a good sign.
 
CD getting a lot of hate on twitter and in the FF world and some of it is deserved...

But the last two weeks-- they have been behind or tied late and went down the field w/ long drives to win & CD has made damn near every big play two straight weeks. His 4th down catch yesterday was bonkers and it was his third best play on the drive.

Is he going to be Top 5? Probably not. Can you start him every week, take your kids to the park and come back and assume he got 8-12 targets w/ a chance at 100 and a TD-- absolutely.

I think top-5 is very doable. He's just missed a 40+ yard TD in 3 straight games. He's gonna start converting those, and he's on pace for like 180+ targets.
 
That drop he had cost me winning my game this week, so no he is not a #1 WR. Number 1's do not drop easy catches like that.
On top of dropping the easy, long pass that was probably going to be a TD, he laughed like it was no big deal, then said my bad.

Great he made catches in the 4th qtr when the game was on the line. He is still to immature to be a number 1 wr.

I am really pissed off at him for screwing me

All of those things you just described also apply to Ja'Marr Chase. Is he a #1 WR?

For context I avoided Lamb this year because I had concerns about him being a true 1 but I think your interpretation of what happened is pretty extreme. Maybe he laughed because he couldn't fathom how he could have dropped it? I would rather that reaction than have him curl up in a ball crying under the Gatorade table. Instead he balled out. Maybe true 1s don't drop passes like that but there have certainly been some that did until they didn't. I recall it seemed like Jordy Nelson used to drop everything and then suddenly he caught everything. It happens.
 
Question is will things change at all as far as target share when Dak comes back?

Seems Rush is leaning on his best receiver

Lamb will be better with Dak than Rush. This target share isn't because of the QB, its because Lamb is taking a step forward, and Amari is gone.
 
Every time I watch him it seems like he has an insane catch and has an easy drop...he is knocking on the door of being elite, just need to get a little more consistent...and there is no reason to think he won't.
 
You can blame me guys. I have him on 2 of 4 fantasy teams after never drafting him before......I broke him, I'm sorry.
 
He hasn't lived up to pre-season expectations but those that have are a fairly short list anyway, particularly at RB. Another brutal matchup coming up too, kind of have to start him but not really expecting a lot :unsure:
 

CeeDee Lamb (hip) is questionable for Week 6 against the Eagles.​

This is the second week in a row that Lamb has been a surprise addition to the injury report. Last week it was a groin, this week a hip. Cowboys VP Stephen Jones told reporters "He’s just working through a couple things there. Just felt like it was best for him not to practice today. We feel like he’ll get all that sorted out for the game.” The best-case scenario would be, as with Tony Pollard last week, that the surprise addition is not serious and he's quickly ruled in on Saturday.

CeeDee Lamb caught 5-of-10 targets for 68 yards in the Cowboys' Week 6 loss to the Eagles.​

Lamb played through the elite coverage of James Bradberry and Darius Slay and a surprise questionable tag to return a serviceable fantasy line, saving his day with catches of 13 yards, 16 yards, and 24 yards in the second half. It's the fourth game of double-digit targets for Lamb, who has yet to post a 100-yard game this year. Help appears on the horizon as Dak Prescott is expected back under center for a Week 7 matchup with the reeling Lions. Lamb maintains his status as a borderline WR1 option moving forward.

CeeDee Lamb caught 4-of-6 targets for 70 yards in the Cowboys' Week 7 win over the Lions.​


Lamb was targeted one fewer time than Noah Brown for the team lead on a day Dak Prescott fired off just 25 throws, though Lamb led the team in receiving yards while backup TE Peyton Hendershot caught Prescott's lone touchdown. Lamb has yet to post a 100-yard game this season and has just two touchdowns, but he'll be a strong WR2 play next week at home against the Bears.

CeeDee Lamb caught 11-of-15 targets for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' Week 10 loss to the Packers.​

Lamb was unstoppable from start to finish in what was ultimately a losing effort. The Cowboys, coming out of their Week 9 bye, used Lamb all over the formation, including out of the backfield in the first quarter on a short touchdown reception for the team's alpha wideout. Lamb, coming off two low-target outings against the Bears and Lions, commanded a 32.8 percent target share in Week 10 against Green Bay, averaging a healthy 13.6 yards per catch.

CeeDee Lamb caught 6-of-11 targets for 106 yards in the Cowboys' Week 12 win over the Giants.​

Lamb nearly secured a TD in the back of the end zone but was only able to get one foot in bounds. He still had a strong game, operating as Dak Prescott's go-to target throughout the game. His 11 targets were good for a 37% target share. Lamb's best catch of the day was a 21-yard one-handed catch on which he also drew a defensive pass interference penalty. Lamb is a locked-in WR1 for Week 13 against the Colts.

It is kind of hard to explain exactly, but I agree. Like that catch where he went down around the 2 just felt like it would be a TD for the elite receivers. Though if it hadn’t been for so much PI, he would have gone way higher
 
If you just look at the weeks where Cooper Rush wasn't playing, Lamb would be on pace for a 105-1,523-10 season.

Even counting the Rush games, he's on pace for 99-1,324-8 season.

He's been every bit the player people were hoping he'd become, and that is while also leaving some meat on the bone and being among the league leaders in PI penalties drawn.

Im not sure. Can you trust him after not playing all year coming off injury? Im guessing he doesnt play till the FF playoffs start. So its week 1 he plays a few plays. Week 2 a few more but td dependent and still cant play him. Week 3 a superbowl...you play him over other players you have been playing? Pretty tough call..... If he were coming back as soon as it appears Jameson Williams appears to be that extra couple weeks is huge.

I assume he means how would obj affect ceedee’s numbers. I sort of think that he might help free ceedee up more and not be so amazing to crush ceedee’s output. But what do I know.
 

CeeDee Lamb caught 5-of-7 targets for 71 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 13 win over the Colts.​

Lamb got the Cowboys on the board with a 20-yard, catch-and-run touchdown reception in the first quarter where he managed to keep his knees and elbows off the turf as he spun over the defender on a failed tackle attempt. His usage would ultimately suffer due to the strength of the run game against the Colts before the Cowboys defense generated four turnovers in the fourth quarter, removing Lamb from the game plan entirely. Lamb's weekly volume is strictly tied to game flow on a Cowboys team happy to stick to the run game if afforded the opportunity, which could cap his upside in a Week 14 matchup with the struggling Texans.

Top-5 WR over the last month, ahead of guys like Diggs, Hopkins, and AJ Brown...and behind Watson to be fair. Still, he's very much rounded into what people taking him in round 2 were hoping for.
