Ja'Marr Chase caught 6-of-9 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' AFC Championship Game victory over the Chiefs.
With the 54 yards, Chase has already set the rookie postseason yardage record with 279 through three games. Today was his first playoff touchdown. He dominated Rashad Fenton 1-on-1 in the end zone. Opposing DBs aren't going to win many hand fights with Cincinnati's No. 1 wideout. Two of Chase's 13 rookie scores came against the 49ers in Week 14. The Bengals did not play the Rams this season.

Ja'Marr Chase caught 5-of-8 targets for 89 yards in the Bengals' Super Bowl LVI loss to the Rams.
Chase got the better of Jalen Ramsey on a number of occasions, but it wasn't enough in a championship tilt where the Bengals came up just short. Billed as the best receiver prospect since at least Amari Cooper in 2015, Chase made mincemeat of a ludicrous summer “dropper” narrative by posting 100 yards in Week 1 and scoring four touchdowns across his first three games. He turned in a 200-yard effort in Week 7 and another in Week 17, making him the only rookie wideout in league history to have a pair of 200-yard contests in the same season. The latter mark was the 16th highest single-game total in the history of the NFL. A truly lethal down-field threat, Chase averaged an eye-popping 18.0 yards per reception to go along with 13 scores. His rare college skill-set immediately translated to the big leagues in his age-21 campaign. Saddled up with SEC throwing partner Joe Burrow, Chase already has years of experience with his quarterback, and their chemistry pops off the screen. Chase has a legitimate claim to WR1 overall status for 2022.

Speaking at OTAs, Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase said he felt more comfortable with the team's offense.
“Last year I was just out there running routes, having fun again,” Chase said. “Now I’ve got all the small details down, like learning how to set people up before the next route. And I feel more comfortable with the offense. Maybe I can move around a little more when we see different things on film. I feel like all of that’s going to make me a lot better this year.” While he has some regression-worthy touchdown and YAC metrics from last season, he remains an obvious WR1 on talent. Chase spoke about a "competition" between him and Justin Jefferson's rookie performance that he's hoping to maintain. Hopefully for fantasy football managers, the Bengals are also in on that idea.

Burrow/Chase/Higgins could be one of the best WR duo/QB combos ever. What this kid did last year was incredible. I regularly go back and watch his rookie highlights and am just in awe (especially after arguably the worst preseason ever). The fact that him and Burrow will have a chance to spend their careers together gives Chase the chance to have a statistical run of historical magnitude.
A chance sure, next few years at least, but this off-season in particular taught me not to count on it.The fact that him and Burrow will have a chance to spend their careers together

Still couldn't believe the ridiculously talented team in 2019 LSU Tigers had during their national championship season with QB Joe Burrow passing to WRs Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase. Chase is big-play waiting to happen while Jefferson breaks ankle on regular basis.
What did you give up for him?Just acquired him in dynasty after missing him by one pick in last year's rookie draft. The connection with Burrow is absolutely real. TO THE MOON!!!!!
I gave the 2022 1.04 and a 2023 1st and 2nd in a 1Qb league. The guy has a pretty bad team though with only 1 starter-worthy RB (and he found out he can get Walker at 1.04) so he was desperate for picks and an RB I think. If you sell him you should charge way more than this. Way way more. I had another '23 1st that I should have had to pay, and probably would have paid it because I really wanted Chase. I'm guessing the guy didn't realize I had another one, he should have asked for it too. What did you give up for him?Just acquired him in dynasty after missing him by one pick in last year's rookie draft. I'm considering trading him to downtier and pick up additional assets since I have him in a best ball league.
I have Burrow too though so it will be really hard to pull the trigger and break up the stack.
Ja'Marr Chase caught 10-of-16 targets for 129 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' Week 1 overtime loss to the Steelers.
Chase very clearly scored a TD on a catch that was ruled down at the one-yard line. Perplexingly, the Bengals did not challenge the play and then proceeded to turn the ball over on downs. However, on the following drive, the Bengals drove back down the field and Chase scored a six-yard game-tying TD. Chase almost had the catch of the day as well, securing a one-handed would-be TD if his toe had not come down out of bounds. Chase was his usual unstoppable self and became the engine of the Bengals' passing attack when Tee Higgins exited the game with a concussion. He will be an elite WR1 play against the Cowboys in Week 2.

Ja'Marr Chase caught 6-of-10 targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' Week 3 win over the Jets.
Despite leading the Bengals in targets, Chase wasn't able to get going with Sauce Gardner covering him. Luckily for him, the Jets blew a coverage at the goal line and left Chase wide open and made it easy for Joe Burrow to find him for the touchdown. With Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins stepping up, Chase wasn't asked to do much. He should be able to bounce back in Week 4 against the Dolphins.

Ja'Marr Chase caught 4-of-6 targets for 81 yards in the Bengals' Week 4 win over the Dolphins.
The 81 yards were Chase's most since Week 1, though 43 fewer than Tee Higgins, who caught seven balls. 23 of Chase's yards came on a trick play from Tyler Boyd, while he was sitting on 3/45 until the 2:58 mark of the fourth quarter. It has been a frustrating start for the electrifying young wideout, but better days should be ahead with the Bengals' offensive line finally beginning to come together. It would be nice for Zac Taylor's play-calling to get a little less predictable, however. The Ravens are an A+ Week 5 matchup.

One of the worst picks I have made in years.
For crying out loud. If teams want to take away a player they can. He was blanketed all night leaving more room for Higgins. I agree he should be averaging more pts per game, but it's early. Hell, he still got 81 yards and if he had scored that would have been a decent fantasy day.One of the worst picks I have made in years.
It wasn't hype (this has become one of the most over- and mis-used words on this board) - did you watch him play last season?Yep. I bought the hype.
One of the worst picks I have made in years.
Yep. I bought the hype. Was ecstatic when he fell to me in the 8 spot.
Agree. Ds are going to realize Higgins is quite awesome and deserves more attention than he's getting. Then everything will even out and Chase will start hitting big plays. Just my .02.For crying out loud. If teams want to take away a player they can. He was blanketed all night leaving more room for Higgins. Gosh, I hope you're right. My opponent last night had Burrow and Higgins so I'm already massively behind. One of the worst picks I have made in years.
Yep. I bought the hype. Was ecstatic when he fell to me in the 8 spot.
I was pissed that he was drafted in the 8th spot as I was picking at 9. I took Diggs, and then Higgins in the 3rd (which I would have never done if I had been able to select Chase).
I still think Chase has the talent to be the best WR in the league. But, Burrow has an outstanding weapon on the other side and so far is smart enough to take advantage of how defenses are playing. This should correct itself.
This. I will take 12 points as a floor game all day long. You drafted Chase for his upside. It will come. For crying out loud. If teams want to take away a player they can. As someone who drafted him, I couldn’t agree more.Burrow has seemed a bit off his game in weeks 1-4. I do not expect that to continue
The 2 whining about him speaks volume. Not surprising who it’s coming from.

Exactly. Half the league is hurt. I wish I drafted him lolFor crying out loud. If teams want to take away a player they can. He was blanketed all night leaving more room for Higgins. Please trade him to me. I lucked out going against him last night, but he's a scary dude. Can take any slant or sideline route to the house. Dolphins gave him a LOT of attention last night for at least the first 3 quarters. CB sticking at the line then a safety always rolling his way. That won't happen every game. He's going to have a 3 TD, 200 yard game soon. One of the worst picks I have made in years.
