It will play out that they will need to score 35 a game to compete. Great for FF, probably not a good strategy for actual NFL victories. It is a bold strategy to pay the offense and let Trey Hendrickson seek a trade. Really want to see how this plays out.
I pulled the #1 pick in my redraft league. It’s not PPR, but it’s still a no brainer for me to take Chase.Geneally, I took every FF article out there with a little bit of grain of salt but Waldman's latest gut check on Chase is bit bold take. If there is another level in his ceiling, then HOLY SMOKE!
I got the 2nd pick in a 12 man .5ppr. Number 1 is going to Bijan. I am hyped to draft Chase.I pulled the #1 pick in my redraft league. Doesn’t hurt that I’ve never owned him and always wanted to.

Ja'Marr Chase is WR7 in consensus rankings this week
he has 1 Top 30 scoring week in Browning's 7 starts
maybe that'll be 2!
WR7 against Denver and Surtain shadowing him…what could go wrong.Josh Norris

If Adams and/or Pollard play, I’d start both over Chase.Normally a set it and forget it but how who are people thinking about flexing over him this week with Surtain locking in on him? A questionable D Adams? Pollard?
The only way I'm not starting this guy is if I have Justin Jefferson, Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St Brown, Puca Nacua, and James Cook on my team. And I still might start him.
I’ve got choices between Egbuka, Etienne, and Chase. Seems like an easy decision to start Egbuka especially when you see Chase’s stats with Browning. Chase is a stud no doubt but Browning may be too much to overcome. Chase had 1 great game against a scrub defense and several middling games, and the top CB was out more than once.

Thank you. Kind words always appreciated. Kind of Fahrenheit 451-inspired, now that I look at it and think about it a bit.

Would love to unload him. Curious if anyone has been successful with some kind of 2 for 1 deal where you get back a couple buy low RBs/WRs that an owner is frustrated with.Burrow got hurt during week 11 last year. This was Chase PPR pts from week 11-17 that year

I fished pretty hard in League Uno. Wasn't getting anything close to value I was comfortable with. Concluded he is gonna be on my roster all year. Just a hard guy to move in redraft leagues.Would love to unload him. For example, say a K. Walker (which would be a headache) and and B. Thomas. Or B. Irving and X. Worthy.

Obviously every league is different, but I just dont see many rosters where Chase still doesn't start for an owner every week.This. Chase is no longer an no brainer, set it and forget it, every week start.Burrow got hurt during week 11 last year. This was Chase PPR pts from week 11-17 that year

Based strictly on the last time we saw this scenario, if you have someone that averages 5 for 63 and 0.3, you have a decision to make. I hope I’m just being negative because I have Chase everywhere.Obviously every league is different, but I just dont see many rosters where Chase still doesn't start for an owner every week.This. Eyeballing 0-3 teams. Could see an opening for potentially a O. Hampton and either a B. Thomas or C. Olave.I fished pretty hard in League Uno. When you math it like that, I get the logic. My devils advocate would be, does the guy that averages 5 for 63 have any chance to go 200 and 3 tds? Although obviously without Burrow, Chase's chances of that game are significantly significantly lower, I'm saying he does have the ability. Stay strong. Right, not only is not crazy to consider benching him but people, players and "experts", are being way to slow to drop him in their weekly and ROS rankings. to many people struggling to adjust to his new reality.Based strictly on the last time we saw this scenario, if you have someone that averages 5 for 63 and 0.3, you have a decision to make. Yep. I'm in the same boat. It's what makes straight up redraft leagues so tough. I'm stubborn. I'm arrogant. Have a chip on my soldier, but pleasant to be around. I won't sit Chase all year in my one league I roster him. Ha ha
It's hard sitting a guy most people just drafted at 1.01 or was considered by most as the top pick in fantasy 3 weeks ago, who is completely healthy.
Burrow played the entire season last year, and Chase was the WR1 from weeks 11 thru 17. You are talking about 2023.Burrow got hurt during week 11 last year. This was Chase PPR pts from week 11-17 that year

I can see it if your other options are studly guys, but people are seriously overreacting here. You would think he's like WR50 right now, when he is in fact WR10. And he's actually done better with Browning vs Burrow this year. Somewhere, some clown is benching Ja'Marr for Tre Tucker this week. Why would you ever bench Jamarr unless he's hurt?
QB play is the context you’re looking for. We have several games with Browning as baseline evidence, albeit from 2023. Chase has had 2 good games out of 8-10 played with Browning? His positive games were vs middling defenses or defenses where the #1 CB was out, and DEN/Surtain are elite. Why would you ever bench Jamarr unless he's hurt?
Egbuka has less PPR points than Ja'Marr this year, and that's with Browning throwing to himQB play is the context you’re looking for. I’ll be starting Egbuka but won’t be expecting 25 pts. Chase is locked and loaded for another 5/40 game.
Plus Egbuka possibly getting Quinyan today. Don't bench your #1 overall pick because your mad he's ONLY WR10.
Did I mention Chase is currently outscoring Egbuka?
You did mention that, and it’s a salient point, but an aberration nonetheless. Not trying to disagree with you, just trying to say there’s nuance here. I’m not suggesting Egbuka is anywhere near the quaff Chase, but the real consideration is Browning+Chase < Mayfield+Egbuka. Take out the Jags game and it’s a much different view. Take out any of Egbuka’s games and consistency remains.Egbuka has less PPR points than Ja'Marr this year, and that's with Browning throwing to himQB play is the context you’re looking for. Chase has played 2 games with Browning this year and you want to remove 1 of them? Come on man! Talk about cherry picking! The fact is, Chase has 15 catches in 1.5 games with Browning while Egbuka has one less catch in twice as many games. If we remove all 14 of Egbuka's catches, he has ZERO for his NFL career! You did mention that, and it’s a salient point, but an aberration nonetheless.
