The Bengals averaged 25.7 points allowed last year. That's really bad, and if we lose Hendrickson (though I don't currently think we will) it could be worse. But I feel like every year any given unit can unexpectedly improve or crash. Whether it's rookies or just a guy here and there having a breakout campaign, I think the law of averages gives us a pretty decent chance to be better than last year on defense, especially if Hendrickson sticks around.

QJ ran free all day on Surtain. But QJ did have Herbert, who is a whole lot better than Browning. That said, I'm still not benching Chase. That's like lighting my own house on fire so I can have light by which to read a book.

When you math it like that, I get the logic. My devils advocate would be, does the guy that averages 5 for 63 have any chance to go 200 and 3 tds? Although obviously without Burrow, Chase's chances of that game are significantly significantly lower, I'm saying he does have the ability. Stay strong. Ha ha

Right, not only is not crazy to consider benching him but people, players and "experts", are being way to slow to drop him in their weekly and ROS rankings. to many people struggling to adjust to his new reality.

Dez broke it down already but another way of putting this is I read a tweet yesterday that he's had one top 30 finish(half PPR) in 1 out of 7 games that Browning has started.

Yet this site has him ranked #3 despite facing arguably the best pass defense in the league.

I have him on two teams, both redraft. He's in one lineup but the other one I'm 50/50 on benching him, maybe more like 55/45 leaning on benching. It's hard sitting a guy most people just drafted at 1.01 or was considered by most as the top pick in fantasy 3 weeks ago, who is completely healthy. But if we just focus on the Browning games it gets a lot less difficult.

Yep. I'm in the same boat. It's what makes straight up redraft leagues so tough. I'm stubborn. I'm arrogant. Have a chip on my soldier, but pleasant to be around. I won't sit Chase all year in my one league I roster him. Ha ha

Burrow played the entire season last year, and Chase was the WR1 from weeks 11 thru 17. You are talking about 2023.

Ja'Marr is currently WR10 in PPR. Only 3 other WR's have more catches. Only 4 other WR's have more receiving yards. And he has done that with both Burrow and Browning. As a matter of fact, he has had more success this year with Browning under center, except for the single TD.

The fact is, Chase has 15 catches in 1.5 games with Browning while Egbuka has one less catch in twice as many games. If we remove all 14 of Egbuka's catches, he has ZERO for his NFL career!
