Yes that's what I meant. Those players end up having more scores that count.

And on the other hand, if he gets hurt and misses significant time it gives you a big advantageThe problem with this is that Pierce is the free space on the BINGO card. Everyone gonna have him.RB - Dameon Pierce - HOU/6 - $10
I still have him, but I keep thinking of a reason to not have him. The problem there is I can't see anyone matching his production for his price.
Trust me, not having the guy everyone else has can be really dangerous. If that guy goes off, it can put you in a world of hurt, especially in the later weeks.
The other fact to consider about Pierce is he had less than 15 carries in 47 out of 48 games through 4 years at Florida. He averaged less than 7 carries per game. To be fair, he did average a TD per game in his senior season. But are the Texans really going to give him 15+ carries a game right out of the gate when he's only done that once since high school? That would be interesting for sure. This is the only nit I'll pick with your reasoning - one or more of the 3 would have to periodically, individually out-score pierce.3. The cheap 1-3 players you picked instead collectively outscore Pierce.
For best ball that's what really matters.

But is it really a big advantage? For example, in 2018 when James Conner was only $4, he missed weeks 14 thru 16. You got absolutely nothing for him in the finals, but he likely carried every team he was part of to the finals. I think what we have to remember is his cost ($10). Let's say Jonathan Taylor was $34 instead of $39. Being priced behind CMC and equal to Ekeler, he would stick out like a sore thumb as a value pick, right? And he would end up on a ton of rosters. Now, if he goes down, that's not only $34 down the drain, but it's also your top RB (unless you chose CMC also). I doubt Pierce is the top dog on anyone's team. He is likely RB3 at best. And on the other hand, if he gets hurt and misses significant time it gives you a big advantageThe problem with this is that Pierce is the free space on the BINGO card. A well put together team. Great use of byes. IF you were forced to downgrade Joey Slye and the SF D to $3 options, how would you spend the leftover $2?QB - Jalen Hurts - PHI/7 - $19
QB - Trevor Lawrence - JAX/11 - $11
RB - Saquon Barkley - NYG/9 - $26

TE - Mo Alie-Cox - IND/14 - $6

This is going to change. Too many people have Chase, Sutton, Williams and Goedert for my liking.

Let's do this again! I think I like B better.@TheWinz
RB - J.K. Dobbins - BAL/10 - $21

WR - Mike Williams - LAC/8 - $21
RB - Dalvin Cook - MIN/7 - $29

This is a pretty crazy distribution for an 18 player roster, but I like it. I would consider downgrading McManus/Myers and that would allow upgrade from Henry to Goedert. We haven’t posted many stud 18 player rosters. The TE thread has a slew of guys marked as good shots to exceed expectations. Went mad scientist to create this bad boy. Figure there will be thousands of these 18 types.

Take advantage of 1.5 PPR for TE and it’ll count on 2-3 each week. Good bye distribution between RB,WR and TE not having too many off at one time to fill flex.

So, basically we are saying Dameon Pierce will not be worth $10 if he gets hurt, right? Well, duh! I would be safe in saying the eventual contest winners get lucky and the bulk of their squads stayed healthy, or were at least missing games at different times. Why are we talking about him getting injured anyway? The easy question we should be asking - will he get enough volume to be able to use a handful of his games? Anyone expecting RB1 numbers on a regular basis is dreaming. But it could be. Let’s say he gets hurt week 2 instead of week 14. Now 98% of teams lost him.But is it really a big advantage? Maybe you’re in that 2% & instead spent that $ on Josh Palmer - and Keenan Allen gets osteoporosis or some other old man disease. And you used the extra dollar to get a better defense.

And add that the key to the contest is NOT being in the top 1% all season. That does you no good at all (until the finals, of course). The key is to not be in the bottom10-50% (depending on the week). Not having a hugely owned player gives you that slight advantage at something that doesn't matter while increasing your exposure to the risk of something that does matter.I know, I was just playing the hypothetical game with you.So, basically we are saying Dameon Pierce will not be worth $10 if he gets hurt, right? My only real contribution to this subject was that he’s gonna be 99% owned. So he’s either gonna be great and a free space on the bingo card, or he’s gonna not be great & that 1% might get a slight advantage over the field.

ok. im not saying its bad necessarily, its just that theres so many players on here that nobody's talking about and arent generating any hype. idk i guess i was just thrown off by how random the players seemed lol.LOL. Lamar Jackson is another one. Same price as Hurts. Noticed several teams with Hurts in their lineups but none with Jackson. In their home leagues, 9/10 would have picked Jackson >>>Hurts.A couple of quick thoughts on a few players with later bye weeks.
Michael Pittman - I hate the week 14 bye, but I am starting to get a Michael Thomas (2019) feeling about him. Only legit pass catcher, better QB this year, and he is priced at WR12 with a very strong chance to finish top 5.
C. Patterson - another week 14 bye, but he feels like a poor man's Kamara. He is going to be 2nd or 3rd in targets and probably get 40 to 50 percent of of all RB carries. He is priced as RB 26 after finishing last year around RB 14 and he was top 10 before the injury. The biggest clue is his usage in the preseason. He is getting the stud RB, heavy usage, we aren't wasting you in the preseason treatment.
C. Kmet - another week 14 bye, not only has he looked good this preseason but he has 2 things going for him. About half of all the top 5 tight ends the last 6 years were drafted outside the top 10 and every tight end for the last 6 years that has finished as a top 5 tight end was either first or second on their own team in targets except one.
I am going to work one of these players into my lineup. I might try to get 2, I don't have the guts to do all 3.
For $77, you could roster:So with the Mack release news, I think the estimates of Pierce being 99% rostered might still be low![]()

One tiny thing to remember - if you drop Javonte and Mike for Swift, that leaves you light when Swift and Pierce are both off week 6. It's not all that bad, but worth considering.RB - Javonte Williams - DEN/9 - $25
RB - Clyde Edwards-Helaire - KC/8 - $17

Not sure if I am done making edits here yet. Looking at Javonte to ball out for 2022. CEH is under the radar. He's been meh, but he still has potential. Maybe he figures it out this year and could be a solid RB2. For Edmonds, I expect them to stretch the field which should open some run lanes. They didn't pay all that money for edmonds to sit on the bench. Pierce, yes, I want to be with the masses. Davis/Wilson/Moss.... flyer picks. I think Davis could be the main guy for BAL, but with the potential signing of Drake, may need to revisit. Had Robinson for a while, but with the gun shots, figure he is out for a while which allows Gibson to get back into the seat. Wilson/Moss for the WTH picks. I may end up throwing Davis back and upgrading Javonte to Swift to stack with Goff.
Definitely agree with you there @TheWinz. Of course I am seeing Pierce as a RB3 and if the rest of the field has him, it negates some of the impact. I think we are all in agreement that he should probably be the #1 rostered player in 2022. I'm sure I'll change this puppy a fewOne tiny thing to remember - if you drop Javonte and Mike for Swift, that leaves you light when Swift and Pierce are both off week 6. There's only 2 players on that roster I haven't had on any submissions yet, so, yes, I like it. As for your specific question, I don't think you're asking about a TE "like" Taysom Hill. You're asking whether or not he will be a cheat code. The easy answer is to roster Taysom if you think he will get time at QB or RB. But as a receiver, I can't say the same.Long time listener, first time caller. I'd be grateful for any feedback...
QB - Kirk Cousins - MIN/7 - $14

RB - Saquon Barkley - NYG/9 - $26
RB - Rhamondre Stevenson - NE/10 - $15

Wanted a large number of WR since they can be more inconsistent week to week. The top half are #1 or #2 receivers. The bottom hopefully can go off a few weeks or ascend to #1 or #2 roles (Pickens and Palmer).
TE - Travis Kelce - KC/8 - $30
TE - Mo Alie-Cox - IND/14 - $6
In years past I've tried to go with a handful of middle tier TE's and they don't do much for me. This year I decided to go with Kelce as, in theory, he should have a monster year. I think Cox should also have a good year. The Colts beat writers have been mentioned several times he has a good rapport with Ryan and the Colts do like throwing to their TE.

I didn't have enough left over $$$ to go with the standard third defense. Had an extra dollar and went with the Packers D who appear to be underpriced.
Question: Would it make more sense to go for a third inexpensive TE like Taysom Hill and drop Watkins or keep it the way it is?
Thanks for any and all help.
My line up is almost identical haha. Personally I'd drop Watkins to get yourself a 3rd defense.Long time listener, first time caller. I'd be grateful for any feedback...

PK - Graham Gano - NYG/9 - $3
PK - Austin Seibert - DET/6 - $3
PK - Rodrigo Blankenship - IND/14 - $3
TD - Green Bay Packers - GB/14 - $4
TD - Arizona Cardinals - ARI/13 - $3
I didn't have enough left over $$$ to go with the standard third defense. Had an extra dollar and went with the Packers D who appear to be underpriced.
Question: Would it make more sense to go for a third inexpensive TE like Taysom Hill and drop Watkins or keep it the way it is?
Thanks for any and all help.
Jackson hasn’t been a popular selection despite being the same price as Hurts. Good call here even though week 10 is a tougher cut line. Agree on Pickett and respect your thoughts on Goff.I usually don't post my rooster, but what the hades... Interested in your thoughts all.
QB - Lamar Jackson - BAL/10 - $19
QB - Jared Goff - DET/6 - $9
QB - Kenny Pickett - PIT/9 - $3
All in on Jackson this year. Really like the potential to be QB1 or the season. I also really like the way Goff balled out last year down the stretch. I think Dan Campbell is fantastic for changing the culture with the Lions and if Swift is the PPR king that we all hope he is, then Goff will also be a prime beneficiary. Pickett... Why not for $3. If he comes on as starter by end of year, just adds a bit of deviation/
While I don’t like Moss or Davis, I do like taking a couple dart throws. Don’t know if you can swing it, but having Swift and Javonte would be huge. Your rooster size has to shrink to make it work.RB - Javonte Williams - DEN/9 - $25
RB - Clyde Edwards-Helaire - KC/8 - $17
RB - Chase Edmonds - MIA/11 - $14
RB - Dameon Pierce - HOU/6 - $10
RB - Mike Davis - BAL/10 - $4
RB - Jeff Wilson - SF/9 - $3
RB - Zack Moss - BUF/7 - $3
Jefferson selection plants a flag and could be a winning play. Your risk is the cheap WR all having an off week could suck you below the cut line any given week. Filling the flex spots will be hit and miss.WR - Justin Jefferson - MIN/7 - $35
WR - Christian Kirk - JAX/11 - $16
WR - D.J. Chark - DET/6 - $7
WR - George Pickens - PIT/9 - $6
WR - WanDale Robinson - NYG/9 - $5
WR - Romeo Doubs - GB/14 - $5
WR - Nelson Agholor - NE/10 - $3
So wanted a safe high floor WR and at Jefferson's price, I figure he won't be owned by many. So Jefferson will give me week in and week out, I believe in the Kirk hype where he is going to get a ton of volume from Lawrence, so should be a reliable #2. That makes all the rest as best ball flyers. Chark/Pickens/Robinson/Doubs all have potential to put up big numbers in the slot. Chark gives me a stack with Goff. Agholor is cheap and Jones has to throw the ball somewhere.
Terrific mix here without spending a ton. Not going to try to talk you out of guys you believe in. Hill is a fascinating option. Could be a total dud if they are genuinely trying to make him a true TE, but What if…TE - Mark Andrews - BAL/10 - $28
TE - Evan Engram - JAX/11 - $9
TE - Taysom Hill - NO/14 - $5
TE - Tommy Tremble - CAR/13 - $5
Andrews. Love the connection with Jackson. I wanted this stack across the board. Also have faith in Engram and Tremble. Hill. He's an enigma to me. Technically, with the contract the saints gave him, he is the 7th highest paid TE in the league. If Winston struggles, he could be used for some gadget plays, which will get scored at TE. Why not? To me it's a $5 flyer worth considering.
Well thought out rooster Saint. Shared some thoughts above. Good luck!PK - Graham Gano - NYG/9 - $3

TD - Kansas City Chiefs - KC/8 - $4
TD - Detroit Lions - DET/6 - $3

Meh.
Appreciate @Grid71. I've always been a large rooster guy, so yeah I go back and forth a bit. Word is Brian Robinson was back at the facility today. Fairly impressive and may need to add him back to the lineup since the kid has heart. Gotta root for the dogs.Well thought out rooster Saint. Shared some thoughts above. Good luck!
Strong team! Can it survive dreaded week 9 is the question. You have 11 good players to fill 7 spots at RB,WR,TE and flex. Having 4 off week 9, you almost guarantee taking a zero unless all 7 remaining players are healthy.Done. Thoughts?

I do think it's huge red flag that he wasn't injured in college, yet he wasn't ever a workhorse. There weren't any notable backs ahead of him. But now that Mack has been released, I will stop trying to find the counter-argument. Clearly the Texans are going to lean on him ad5'10" 215 lbsThe other fact to consider about Pierce is he had less than 15 carries in 47 out of 48 games through 4 years at Florida. He averaged less than 7 carries per game. To be fair, he did average a TD per game in his senior season. But are the Texans really going to give him 15+ carries a game right out of the gate when he's only done that once since high school? That would be interesting for sure.
Those are basically perfect numbers for a workhorse RB. The only injury history I could find was a single missed game in 2019 after what I assume was a concussion (the website said head injury). Just because he wasn't used as a workhorse doesn't mean he couldn't be one. At only 22 years old and with his frame, my guess is he can handle the load, if given to him.
Now that's what I call planting a flag!If I could live without Barkley or Sutton or Schultz I would... but I can't.
